制御手段は、放電中の蓄電部が予定蓄電量以下になった場合には、放電中の蓄電部だけでなく、放電していない他の蓄電部のうち1つまたは複数の蓄電部も放電用端子に並列に接続して、同時に放電するように切替手段を制御することを特徴とする。
複数の蓄電部のうち、少なくとも2つの蓄電部は電気的に直列に接続可能であり、
直列に接続可能な蓄電部の接続を、直列接続状態と非直列接続状態とで切り替える直列手段(31c)をさらに含み、
制御手段は、必要とされる電池電圧に応じて、直列手段を制御することを特徴とする。
本発明の第1実施形態に関して、図1〜図6を用いて説明する。図1は、第1実施形態の蓄電池10を簡略化して示す模式図である。蓄電池10は、たとえばリチウムイオン二次電池等からなるバンク11を複数組み合わせた集合体である。蓄電池10は、直流電力を蓄電したり、蓄電された直流電力を放電したりすることが可能となっている。蓄電池10は、外部へ放電するための放電用端子12と、蓄電するための蓄電用端子13とを有する。蓄電池10は、複数のバンク11が筐体14内に収納されて構成されている。筐体14は、直方体状ケースであり、たとえば樹脂および鋼板からなる。
以上、本発明の好ましい実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上述した実施形態に何ら制限されることなく、本発明の主旨を逸脱しない範囲において種々変形して実施することが可能である。

Claims (4)
- 外部へ放電するための放電用端子(12)と、
蓄電するための蓄電用端子(13)と、
前記放電用端子および前記蓄電用端子に対してそれぞれ選択的に通電接続されることによって、前記蓄電用端子から供給される電力を蓄電し、蓄電している電力を前記放電用端子へ放電する複数の蓄電部(11,11a〜11c)と、
前記通電接続する端子を前記放電用端子および前記蓄電用端子のいずれかに切替える場合と、前記蓄電部をいずれの前記端子にも通電接続しない場合とに制御する切替手段(31a〜31c)と、
前記切替手段を制御し、前記複数の蓄電部の蓄電および放電を個別に制御する制御手段(30)と、を含み、
前記制御手段は、
放電する場合には、1つまたは複数の蓄電部が放電するように、前記切替手段を制御し、
蓄電する場合には、1つまたは複数の蓄電部に蓄電するように、前記切替手段を制御することを特徴とする蓄電池。 - 前記蓄電部の電池状態として、少なくとも蓄電量を監視する監視手段(30)をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の蓄電池。
- 前記監視手段は、放電中の前記蓄電部が予め定める予定蓄電量以下になったか否かを監視し、
前記制御手段は、前記放電中の蓄電部が前記予定蓄電量以下になった場合には、前記放電中の蓄電部だけでなく、放電していない他の前記蓄電部のうち1つまたは複数の蓄電部も前記放電用端子に並列に接続して、同時に放電するように前記切替手段を制御することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の蓄電池。 - 前記複数の蓄電部のうち、少なくとも2つの前記蓄電部は前記放電用端子に並列に接続可能であり、
前記複数の蓄電部のうち、少なくとも2つの前記蓄電部は電気的に直列に接続可能であり、
前記直列に接続可能な蓄電部の接続を、直列接続状態と非直列接続状態とで切り替える直列手段(31c)をさらに含み、
前記制御手段は、必要とされる電池電圧に応じて、前記直列手段を制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の蓄電池。
