高性能材料の分野においては、性能及び省重量のため、複合材料が優位を占めている。近年最もよく知られている高性能複合材料は、熱硬化性樹脂から得られるものであるが、その使用は、主として航空機やモータースポーツにおける小規模から中規模の用途に限られており、そして、最良の条件において、これらは、例えばスキーの製造中など約15分の範囲の製造時間を示す。これらの材料のコスト及び/又は製造時間では、大量生産の用途に合致させるのは困難である。さらに、熱硬化性樹脂の使用には、溶媒及び単量体の存在を伴う場合が多い。最後に、これらの複合材料は、リサイクルが困難である。
出願人の会社は、予期せず、複合物品の製造の際に、ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物で変性されたポリアミド樹脂を使用すると、該複合物品を通常使用されるよりも短いサイクル時間でかつ他の処理なしで製造した場合であっても、特に剛性、極限強度、衝撃強度及び疲労挙動といった良好な機械的性質のみならず、良好な湿熱劣化に対する抵抗性も示す物品を得ることが可能になることを見い出した。これは、短いサイクル時間を採用する装置を使用することによって製造コストが減少するという利点のみならず、構造応用に十分な耐久性も示す複合材料を提供することを可能にする。
(a)補強用生地に、ポリアミドが該ポリアミドの鎖に化学的に結合したヒドロキシ芳香族単位を有する、溶融状態のポリアミド組成物を含浸させる工程;
(b)冷却し、その後複合物品を回収する工程。
(HO)x−Z−(F)n (I)
式中:
・Zは、多価(少なくとも2価)芳香族又はアリール脂肪族炭化水素基であり、
・xは1〜10であり、
・Fは、前記ポリアミドの単量体の酸又はアミン官能基に結合することのできる酸、アルデヒド、アミン又はケトン官能基であり、そして
・nは1〜5である。
酸末端基(CEG)及びアミン末端基(AEG)の含有量:電位差測定法により分析され、meq/kgで表される。フェノール末端基PEGの含有量(一官能性ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物について)は、合成反応器に導入された反応物質の出発量から決定する。
87.3kg(332.8モル)のN塩(ヘキサメチレンジアミン及びアジピン酸の1:1塩)、3219gの99.5%5−ヒドロキシイソフタル酸(HIA)(17.5モル)、6276gのヘキサメチレンジアミン(HMD)水溶液32.4重量%(17.5モル)、81.2kgの脱イオン水及び6.4gの消泡剤Silcolapse5020(商標)を重合反応器に導入する。
Tg=76.8℃、Tc=218.4℃、M.p.=256.2℃、ΔHf=62.5J/g。このコポリアミドは、PA6.6に対して6.2℃高いTgを有する。
76.9kg(293.1モル)のN塩(ヘキサメチレンジアミン及びアジピン酸の1:1塩)、9462gの99.5%5−ヒドロキシイソフタル酸(HIA)(51.7モル)、18624gのヘキサメチレンジアミン(HMD)水溶液32.25重量%(51.7モル)、72.6kgの脱イオン水及び6.4gの消泡剤Silcolapse5020(商標)を重合反応器に導入する。
Tg=85.8℃、Tc=186.2℃、M.p.=240.4℃、ΔHf=41.9J/g。このコポリアミドは、PA6.6に対して15.2℃高いTgを有する。
水中51重量%の6.HIA塩を、ヘキサメチレンジアミン及び5−ヒドロキシイソフタル酸の化学量論量を水中で混合させることによって製造する。その後、5623gの51%6.HIA塩、112.1gの99.5%5−ヒドロキシイソフタル酸、105gの水及び3.3gの消泡剤を重合反応器に導入する。
135.2gのN塩(0.52モル)、9.41gの98%4−ヒドロキシフェニル酢酸(0.06モル)、10.87gのヘキサメチレンジアミン水溶液32.4%(0.03モル)、127.2gの脱イオン水及び2gの消泡剤を重合反応器に導入する。
CEG=103.3meq/kg、AEG=29.4meq/kg。鎖末端でのフェノール官能基の理論量(PEG)を反応器に導入した出発量から算出する。PEG=437meq/kg。Mn=2×106/(AEG+CEG+PEG)=3510g/mol。
検討中の様々な重合体を大部分流体用の粉末の状態、そうでなければフィルムの形態で使用する。粉末は、ドライアイスか又は液体窒素のいずれかで極低温粉砕することにより得る。フィルムは、フラットダイ及び成膜装置を備える、34の直径及び34のL/Dを有するLeistritz二軸押出器で顆粒を押し出すことにより製造する(10kg/時の押出器流量、250rpmのスクリュー速度、270℃の温度)。ダイのリップ間の間隙は、30cmの幅にわたって約300μmであり、供給速度は、115℃に調節されたローラーについて3.2m/分である:得られたフィルムは、160〜180μmの範囲の厚みを有する(300mmの幅を有するスプール)。
一タイプのサイクルを実施した:15〜50barの中程度の圧力下において5分のサイクル(15barで1分、続いて50barで2分、続いて50barで2分)。この時間は、型に熱を加え、加圧下で冷却する間のサイクルの全持続期間に相当する。
例6に従って製造された試料に湿熱劣化を施した。試料を80℃の水中に8日間にわたって浸漬することにより加速型の劣化を実施した(加速試験)。
Claims (19)
- 少なくとも次の工程を含む複合物品の製造方法:
(a)補強用生地に、ポリアミドが該ポリアミドの鎖に化学的に結合したヒドロキシ芳香族単位を含む、溶融状態のポリアミド組成物を含浸させる工程;
(b)該複合物品を冷却し、その後回収する工程。 - 前記ポリアミド組成物が1〜50Pa・sの溶融粘度ηを有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶融粘度を、150μmの厚さのポリアミドのフィルムをその融点よりも25〜30℃高い温度で溶融することによって、1〜160s-1の範囲の段階的せん断掃引下で50mmの直径のプレート/プレートレオメーターを使用して測定することを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドが、少なくとも1種の直鎖状脂肪族カルボン酸と脂肪族若しくは環状ジアミンとの重縮合によって得られたポリアミド又は少なくとも1種の芳香族ジカルボン酸と1種の脂肪族若しくは芳香族ジアミンとの重縮合によって得られたポリアミド、少なくとも1種のアミノ酸又はラクタム自体の重縮合によって得られたポリアミド、或いはそれらのブレンド及び(コ)ポリアミドよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドを、ポリアミド単量体の重合前又は重合中に、ジアミン、ジカルボン酸、モノアミン及び/又はモノカルボン酸型の単量体を添加することによって得ることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドがポリアミド6、ポリアミド6.6、ポリアミド6.10、ポリアミド11、ポリアミド12、ポリアミド6.12、ポリ(m−キシリレンアジパミド)、ポリアミド6.6/6.T、ポリアミド6.6/6.I及びそれらのブレンド及びコポリアミドよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドの鎖に化学的結合したヒドロキシ芳香族単位を含むポリアミドを、前記ポリアミドをヒドロキシ芳香族化合物で変性させることによって得ることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドの鎖に化学的に結合したヒドロキシ芳香族単位を含むポリアミドを、重合の際に該ポリアミドの単量体の存在下で該ヒドロキシ芳香族単位を含む化合物を添加することによって得ることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物が、前記ポリアミドの官能基又は該ポリアミドの単量体の官能基と反応することのできる少なくとも1個の官能基を有することを特徴とする、請求項7又は8に記載の方法。
- 前記ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物が次式(I)によって表されることを特徴とする、請求項7〜9のいずれかに記載の方法:

式中:
・Zは、多価芳香族又はアリール脂肪族炭化水素基であり、
・xは1〜10であり、
・Fは、前記ポリアミドの単量体の酸又はアミン官能基に結合することのできる酸、アルデヒド、アミン又はケトン官能基であり、そして
・nは1〜5である。 - Zが多価基であり、ベンゼン、メチルベンゼン、ナフタリン、ビフェニル、ジフェニルエーテル、硫化ジフェニル、ジフェニルスルホン、ジトリルエーテル、キシリレン、ジエチルベンゼン及びピリジンよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物が2−ヒドロキシテレフタル酸、5−ヒドロキシイソフタル酸、4−ヒドロキシイソフタル酸、2,5−ジヒドロキシテレフタル酸、4−ヒドロキシフェニル酢酸又は没食子酸、L−チロシン、4−ヒドロキシフェニル酢酸、3,5−ジアミノフェノール、5−ヒドロキシ−m−キシリレンジアミン、3−アミノフェノール、3−アミノ−4−メチルフェノール及び3−ヒドロキシ−5−アミノ安息香酸よりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項7〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記補強用生地が、炭素、ガラス、アラミド、ポリイミド、亜麻、麻、サイザル麻、コイア、黄麻、ケナフ麻及び/又はそれらの混合物から形成された糸及び/又は繊維から選択される繊維状又はフィラメント状ネットワーク、糸及び繊維であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミド組成物を、少なくとも1種の補強用生地を含む成形チャンバーに注入して含浸を実施することを特徴とする、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 1種以上の補強用生地と1種以上のポリアミドフィルムとを接触させ、そして該ポリアミドを溶融させることによって前記含浸を実施することを特徴とする、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 1種以上の補強用生地とポリアミド粉末とを接触させ、そして該ポリアミドを溶融させることによって前記含浸を実施することを特徴とする、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記方法が引抜方法であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記複合物品が、該物品の総体積に対して、25〜80体積%の補強用生地を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜17のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜18のいずれかに記載の方法によって得られた複合物品又はプリフォーム。
