Description
高性能材料の分野では、複合材料がその性能及び軽量化のため主導的な地位を占めている。今日までに最もよく知られている高性能複合材料は、熱硬化性樹脂から得られているが、その使用は、短〜中級の用途、主に航空機、モータースポーツの用途に限られており、そして最良の場合には、例えばスキー製造の際には約15分に近い製造時間を有する。これらの材料のコスト及び/又は製造時間のため、該材料と大規模使用との相性はよくない。さらに、熱硬化性樹脂の使用は、溶媒及び単量体の存在を伴う場合が多い。最後に、これらの複合材料は、リサイクルするのが難しい。
出願人は、予期せず、低分子量の形態で、しかも鎖末端の一部が非反応性のポリアミドを複合物品の製造のために使用すると、通常使用されるよりも短いサイクル時間で製造しても、また他の処理を行わなくても、顕著な剛性、破壊強度、衝撃靱性及び疲労挙動といった良好な機械的性質を有する物品を高分子量ポリアミドと同様の処理加工条件で得ることが可能であることを見出した。
(a)補強用繊維に次のものを有するポリアミド樹脂を溶融状態で含む組成物を含浸させる工程:
・次の関係:Mn=2000000/(AEG+CEG+BEG)に従って算出される、1500〜8000g/モルの数平均分子量Mn、
・25meq/kg以上のアミン末端基(AEG)濃度、
・25meq/kg以上の酸末端基(CEG)濃度、
・25meq/kg以上のブロック化末端基(BEG)濃度;
(b)該複合物品を冷却し、続いて回収する工程
を含み、ここで、該ポリアミドは、該ポリアミドの鎖に化学的に結合する芳香族ヒドロキシル単位により変性されたポリアミドではない、前記製造方法に関するものである。
布とは、特に接着、フェルト化、編み、製織及び編組などの任意の方法によりまとめられた糸又は繊維を組み立てることによって得られる繊維表面を意味する。また、これらの布は、繊維ネットワーク又はフィラメントネットワークとも呼ばれる。糸とは、モノフィラメント、連続マルチフィラメント糸、単一型の繊維又は緊密な混合物としての数種類の繊維から得られる繊維の糸を意味する。また、この連続糸は、数種のマルチフィラメント糸をまとめることによっても得られる。繊維とは、フィラメント又は切断され、分断され若しくは変形されたフィラメントの集合物を意味する。
ポリアミドは、少なくとも1種の脂肪族直鎖ジカルボン酸と脂肪族若しくは環状ジアミンとの重縮合又は少なくとも1種の芳香族ジカルボン酸と脂肪族若しくは芳香族ジアミンとの重縮合によって得られるポリアミド、少なくとも1種のアミノ酸又はラクタム自体の重縮合により得られるポリアミド或いはそれらの混合物及び(コ)ポリアミドよりなる群から選択できる。半結晶性ポリアミドが特に好ましい。また、直鎖ポリアミドも好ましい。
ポリアミド樹脂と補強用樹脂との含浸工程は、様々な可能な方法により様々なやり方で実施できる。1種以上の補強用布の含浸を実施することが完全に可能である。
本発明のポリアミド組成物及び/又は複合物品は、物品の製造のために使用されるポリアミドを主成分とする組成物において通常使用されるあらゆる添加物を含むこともできる。すなわち、添加剤の例としては、熱安定剤、UV安定剤、酸化防止剤、潤滑剤、顔料、染料、可塑剤、補強充填剤及び衝撃靱性を変化させるための薬剤が挙げられる。これらの添加剤を樹脂の合成中に導入することや、粉末に、又はフィルムに、又は浸透の間に溶融物に添加することができる。
本発明の物品は、完成品、又はプリプレグということもできる半製品であることができ。この場合、非変動性樹脂の存在は特に興味深いものである。というのは、半製品の製造の間に使用される良好な流動性が、完成品を製造するための最終的な成形の間に実際に保持されるからである。例えば、熱成形をプレートの形で複合物品に適用して、該物品に冷却後所定の形態を付与することができる。したがって、本発明は、本発明の方法によって得ることのできる複合物品又はプレフォームに関するものでもある。
キャラクタリゼーション:
・酸末端基(CEG)及びアミン末端基(AEG)の含有量:電位差測定法で決定される(meq/kgで表す)。
・保護末端基(BEG)の含有量:重合反応器に供給される試薬の量から算出される。
・数平均分子量Mn:式Mn=2.106/(AEG+CEG+BEG)から決定され、g/molで表される。重量平均分子量Mwは、適宜GPCで決定した。
・溶液状態での粘度指数(mL/gで表される):ISO 307に従って蟻酸中で決定される。この溶液状態での粘度指数は、同じ性質の直鎖重合体についての分子量の指標となる(ポリアミド6は互いに直接比較でき、ポリアミド66は互いに直接比較できる)。このVIが高ければ高いほど、分子量も高い。
これら3タイプの分子量の特徴は、当業者によく知られており、重合体の分子量が増加したか否かを明確に決定するのを可能にする。
・融点(Tm)及び関連するエンタルピー(ΔHf)、冷却時結晶化温度(Tc):示差走査熱量測定法(DSC)により、パーキン・エルマーPyris 1装置を使用して10℃/分の速度で決定される。
・ガラス転移温度(Tg):同じ装置により40℃/分の速度で決定される。
重合反応器に、150.31g(1.328mol)のカプロラクタム、2.087gの99.5%安息香酸(0.017mol)、72.3gの脱塩水及び2gの消泡剤を装入する。
重合反応器に、90.75kg(345.93mol)のN塩(ヘキサメチレンジアミンとアジピン酸との1:1塩)、939gの100%酢酸(15.65mol)、3.05kgのヘキサメチレンジアミン(HMD)32.60重量%(8.56mol)水溶液及び83.5kgの脱塩水並びに6.4gの消泡剤Silcolapse 5020(商標)を装入する。
これらのポリアミドを、Ares Rheometricsのコーン/プレートレオメーター(直径25mm、円錐角0.1ラジアン)により、PETポリエステルについては280℃で、PBTポリエステルについては255℃で、溶融状態で粘度を測定することにより特徴付けた。剪断速度に応じた粘度の曲線は、問題の重合体がニュートン挙動を有することと示している:使用した粘度値は、プラトーでの値である(10-1〜102s-1)。
この実験の部では様々なポリアミド樹脂を使用した。これらを表1に示す。
・PA C1(比較):115mL/gの粘度指数VI(ISO 307蟻酸中)及び33000g/molの重量平均分子量Mwを有する基準直鎖ポリアミド6。
・PA C2(比較):130mL/gの粘度指数VI及び33000g/molのMwを有する基準直鎖ポリアミド6.6。AEG=46.2meq/kg、CEG=79.5meq/kg、すなわちMn=15900g/mol。
・PA C3(比較):59mL/gの初期VI、15500g/molのMw並びに130meq/kgに等しいAEG含有量及び160meq/kgに等しいCEG含有量、すなわちMn=6900g/molを有するポリアミド6.6。
150×150mmのプレートを切断して、150×20×2mmの寸法の試料を得る。続いて、基準法ISO1110「試験片のプラスチック/ポリアミド/加速状態調整」に従って状態調整処理を実施する。平衡での含水量を、62%の相対湿度RH下において70℃で11日間のサイクルにより複合物品を状態調整することにより得る。
Claims (10)
- 成形による複合物品の製造方法であって、少なくとも次の工程:
(a)補強用布に、ポリアミド樹脂を溶融状態で含む組成物を含浸する工程;ここで、該樹脂は
・1500〜8000g/molの数平均分子量Mn(該分子量は次の関係:Mn=2000000/(AEG+CEG+BEG)に従って算出される)、
・25meq/kg以上のアミン末端基(AEG)濃度、
・25meq/kg以上の酸末端基(CEG)濃度、
・25meq/kg以上のブロック化末端基(BEG)濃度
を有するものとし、
(b)該複合物品を冷却し、続いて回収する工程
を含み、ここで、該ポリアミドは、該ポリアミドの鎖に化学的に結合する芳香族ヒドロキシル単位により変性されたポリアミドではない、前記製造方法。 - 前記ポリアミドが、少なくとも1種の脂肪族直鎖ジカルボン酸と脂肪族若しくは環状ジアミンとの重縮合又は少なくとも1種の芳香族ジカルボン酸と脂肪族若しくは芳香族ジアミンとの重縮合によって得られるポリアミド、少なくとも1種のアミノ酸又はラクタム自体の重縮合により得られるポリアミド或いはそれらの混合物及び(コ)ポリアミドよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドのアミン末端基(AEG)の濃度が30meq/kg〜150meq/kgであることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドの酸末端基(CEG)の濃度が30meq/kg〜150meq/kgであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミドのブロック化末端基(BEG)の濃度が30meq/kg〜200meq/kgであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミド組成物の補強用布への含浸を、溶融状態のポリアミド組成物と補強用布とを接触させることにより実施することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ポリアミド組成物の補強用布への含浸を、補強用布と粉末又は薄膜状のポリアミド組成物とを接触させ、続いて該ポリアミド組成物を溶融させることにより実施することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記物品が該物品の全容積に対して25〜70容積%の補強用布を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記補強用布が炭素、ガラス、アラミド、ポリアミド、亜麻、大麻、サイザル麻、コイア、黄麻、ケナフ麻及び/又はそれらの混合物の糸及び/又は繊維から選択される補強用糸及び/又は繊維を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のポリアミド組成物の、複合物品を製造するための使用。
