Description
本発明の一に係る液晶組成物、該液晶組成物を用いた液晶素子、及び液晶表示装置について、図1(A)(B)を用いて説明する。図1(A)(B)は液晶素子及び液晶表示装置の断面図である。
上記一般式(G1)において、n及びmは1〜20の整数を表し、R1及びR2は、水素又はメチル基を表す。まず、下記反応式(C−1)〜(C−2)による一般式(G1)の合成法を説明する。
本発明の一に係る液晶表示装置として、パッシブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置、アクティブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置を提供することができる。本実施の形態は、本発明の一に係るアクティブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置の例を、図2及び図3を用いて説明する。
トランジスタを作製し、該トランジスタを画素部、さらには駆動回路に用いて表示機能を有する液晶表示装置を作製することができる。また、トランジスタを用いて駆動回路の一部又は全体を、画素部と同じ基板上に一体形成し、システムオンパネルを形成することができる。
本明細書に開示する液晶表示装置は、さまざまな電子機器(遊技機も含む)に適用することができる。電子機器としては、例えば、テレビジョン装置(テレビ、又はテレビジョン受信機ともいう)、コンピュータ用などのモニタ、デジタルカメラ、デジタルビデオカメラ、デジタルフォトフレーム、携帯電話機(携帯電話、携帯電話装置ともいう)、携帯型ゲーム機、携帯情報端末、音響再生装置、パチンコ機などの大型ゲーム機などが挙げられる。

Claims (10)
- 下記一般式(G1)で表される重合性モノマー、ネマティック液晶、及びカイラル剤を含有してなる液晶組成物。
(一般式(G1)中、n及びmは1〜20の整数である。また、R1、R2は、水素、又はメチル基を表す。) - 下記一般式(G2)で表される重合性モノマー、ネマティック液晶、及びカイラル剤を含有してなる液晶組成物。
(一般式(G2)中、n及びmは1〜20の整数である。) - 下記一般式(G3)で表される重合性モノマー、ネマティック液晶、及びカイラル剤を含有してなる液晶組成物。
(一般式(G3)中、n及びmは1〜20の整数であり、n=mである。また、R1、R2は、水素、又はメチル基を表す。) - 下記一般式(G4)で表される重合性モノマー、ネマティック液晶、及びカイラル剤を含有してなる液晶組成物。
(一般式(G4)中、n及びmは1〜20の整数であり、n=mである。) - 下記一般式(G5)で表される重合性モノマー、ネマティック液晶、及びカイラル剤を含有してなる液晶組成物。
(一般式(G5)中、n及びmは2〜20の偶数の整数である。) - 下記一般式(G6)で表される重合性モノマー、ネマティック液晶、及びカイラル剤を含有してなる液晶組成物。
(一般式(G6)中、n及びmは2〜20の偶数の整数であり、n=mである。) - 前記液晶組成物が、ブルー相を発現するものである請求項1乃至6にいずれか一項に記載の液晶組成物。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の液晶組成物を用いることを特徴とする液晶素子。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の液晶組成物を用いることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項8又は請求項9において、前記液晶組成物は有機樹脂を含むことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
