Description
本発明の一に係る液晶表示装置について、図1(A)(B)を用いて説明する。図1(A)(B)は液晶表示装置の作製方法を示す断面図である。
本発明の一に係る液晶表示装置として、パッシブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置、アクティブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置を提供することができる。本実施の形態は、本発明の一に係るアクティブマトリクス型の液晶表示装置の例を、図2及び図3を用いて説明する。
トランジスタを作製し、該トランジスタを画素部、さらには駆動回路に用いて表示機能を有する液晶表示装置を作製することができる。また、トランジスタを用いて駆動回路の一部又は全体を、画素部と同じ基板上に一体形成し、システムオンパネルを形成することができる。
本明細書に開示する液晶表示装置は、さまざまな電子機器(遊技機も含む)に適用することができる。電子機器としては、例えば、テレビジョン装置(テレビ、又はテレビジョン受信機ともいう)、コンピュータ用などのモニタ、デジタルカメラ、デジタルビデオカメラ、デジタルフォトフレーム、携帯電話機(携帯電話、携帯電話装置ともいう)、携帯型ゲーム機、携帯情報端末、音響再生装置、パチンコ機などの大型ゲーム機などが挙げられる。

Claims (5)
- 第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板上の第1の電極層及び第2の電極層と、
前記第1の電極層及び前記第2の電極層上のブルー相を発現する液晶組成物と、
前記液晶組成物上の第2の基板と、を有し、
前記液晶組成物は、ネマティック液晶、カイラル剤、重合性モノマーを重合させた高分子、及び光重合開始剤を含み、
前記ネマティック液晶は複数の化合物を含み、
前記ネマティック液晶が吸収する光の波長のピークは、前記光重合開始剤が吸収する光の波長のピークとは異なり、
前記複数の化合物は、下記構造式で示される化合物をすべて有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1において、前記カイラル剤は、下記構造式で示される化合物であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板上の第1の電極層及び第2の電極層と
前記第1の電極層及び前記第2の電極層上のブルー相を発現する液晶組成物と、
前記液晶組成物上の第2の基板と、を有し、
前記液晶組成物は、ネマティック液晶、カイラル剤、重合性モノマーを重合させた高分子、及び光重合開始剤を含み、
前記ネマティック液晶は複数の化合物を含む液晶表示装置の作製方法であって、
前記液晶組成物に、前記光重合開始剤に吸収される光を照射して、前記重合性モノマーを重合させ、
前記光重合開始剤に吸収される光は、前記複数の化合物には吸収されず、
前記複数の化合物は、下記構造式で示される化合物をすべて有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の作製方法。
- 請求項3において、前記カイラル剤は、下記構造式で示される化合物であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置の作製方法。
- 請求項3又は4において、前記液晶組成物に照射する光の波長は380nmであることを特徴とする液晶表示装置の作製方法。
