Abstract
【解決手段】ECUのインジェクタ制御部は、クランク角が最初の燃料噴射開始時期に相当する、つまりインジェクタから噴射される燃料がリップ部7に到達し且つシリンダ3のボア壁面3aに到達しないような位置にピストン4が達する時期に相当するときは、最初の燃料噴射を開始するようにインジェクタを制御する。そして、インジェクタ制御部は、クランク角が最後の燃料噴射終了時期に相当する、つまりインジェクタから噴射される燃料がリップ部7に到達し且つキャビティ6aにおけるリップ部7の下方領域に到達しないような位置にピストン4が達する時期に相当するときは、最後の燃料噴射を終了するようにインジェクタを制御する。

Claims (4)
- シリンダ内に往復昇降自在に設けられたピストンを有し予混合圧縮着火燃焼を行うエンジンの燃焼制御装置において、
前記シリンダ及び前記ピストンにより形成される燃焼室内に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁と、
前記燃料を複数回に分割して噴射させるように前記燃料噴射弁を制御する噴射弁制御手段とを備え、
前記ピストンの上部には、前記燃焼室の一部をなす凹状のキャビティが設けられており、
前記キャビティを形成する前記ピストンの内壁面の上端部には、前記ピストンの内側に突出したリップ部が設けられており、
前記噴射弁制御手段は、前記ピストンが圧縮上死点よりも前の第1昇降位置に達したときに、最初の燃料噴射を開始するように前記燃料噴射弁を制御する第1制御手段と、前記ピストンが前記第1昇降位置よりも前記圧縮上死点側の第2昇降位置に達するまでに、最後の燃料噴射を終了するように前記燃料噴射弁を制御する第2制御手段とを有し、
前記第1昇降位置は、前記燃料噴射弁から噴射される燃料が前記リップ部に到達し且つ前記シリンダのボア壁に到達しないような位置であり、
前記第2昇降位置は、前記燃料噴射弁から噴射される燃料が前記リップ部に到達し且つ前記キャビティにおける前記リップ部の下方領域に到達しないような位置であることを特徴とする燃焼制御装置。 - 前記エンジンの負荷を検出する負荷検出手段を更に備え、
前記第1制御手段及び前記第2制御手段は、前記負荷検出手段により検出された前記エンジンの負荷が所定値よりも低い場合に実行されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃焼制御装置。 - 前記第2制御手段は、前記ピストンが前記第2昇降位置に達したときに、前記最後の燃料噴射を終了するように前記燃料噴射弁を制御することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の燃焼制御装置。
- 前記リップ部の先端形状は略平坦状となっていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項記載の燃焼制御装置。
