Abstract
【解決手段】カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造を有するフルセルまたはカソード(アノード)/セパレータ/アノード(カソード)/セパレータ/カソード(アノード)構造を有するバイセルを単位電極アセンブリとして複数個重ねることによって形成される電池セルを含む積層型二次電池であって、2個以上の単位電極アセンブリ中のカソード活物質及び/またはアノード活物質が電圧差をもたらすように異なる組成を有し、電圧差に応じた別々の電極端子を電池ケースに設けた積層型二次電池。

Description
ここで、本発明を以下の実施例を参照して更に詳細に説明する。これらの実施例は本発明を説明することのみを目的とするものであり、本発明の範囲や技術思想を制限するものとして解釈してはならない。
カソード活物質としてLi1.1Al0.1Mn1.8O4の組成を有するリチウムマンガン酸化物、カーボンブラック及びバインダとしてPVDF[ポリ(フッ化ビニリデン)]を85:10:5の重量比で、有機溶媒であるNMPに加えることにより、スラリーを調製した。得られたスラリーを厚さ20μMのアルミニウム(Al)箔の両面に塗布し、乾燥してカソード(CAl)を作製した。このようにして作製したカソード(C1)は、リチウムに対しておよそ4.0Vの電位差を持つ。
カソード活物質としてLiFePO4の組成のリン酸鉄リチウムを使用してカソード(C3)を構成した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてバイセルを作製した。実施例1の積層バイセルにおいてカソードとアノードのリード(E3)が側面に露出するように電池を作製した。充電/放電サイクルを繰り返し、E3の電位を50%SOCで測定した。その結果、E3は3.35Vを示し、かくして、1個の電池が3つの異なる電位を提供する目的を達成した。
Claims (10)
- 電池セルを含む積層型二次電池であって、
前記電池セルが、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造を有するフルセルまたはカソード(アノード)/セパレータ/アノード(カソード)/セパレータ/カソード(アノード)構造を有するバイセルを単位電極アセンブリとして複数個重ねることによって形成されてなり、
2個以上の単位電極アセンブリ中のカソード活物質及び/またはアノード活物質が電圧差を生じるように異なる組成を有してなり、及び、電圧差に応じた別々の電極端子を電池ケースに設けてなり、これにより、1個の電池によって2種類以上の電圧を同時に供給する積層型二次電池。 - 前記電池が活物質組成の異なる2個のフルセルを有する電池セルを備えてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池が活物質組成の異なる2個のCタイプ/Aタイプバイセルの組合せからなる電池セルを備えてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電圧差が3.35〜3.95Vの範囲内に設定されてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池がリチウム二次電池である、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記リチウム二次電池の前記カソード活物質が、リチウムに対して3.4〜4.0Vの電位差を有する活物質から選択されてなるものである、請求項5に記載の二次電池。
- 前記リチウム二次電池の前記アノード活物質が、リチウムに対して0〜1.6Vの電位差を有する活物質から選択されてなる、請求項5に記載の二次電池。
- 2個の異なる単位電極アセンブリを用いるのに際して、
第1の単位電極アセンブリのカソード端子とアノード端子を前記電池ケースの上部に設けてなり、並びに
第2の単位電極アセンブリのカソード端子とアノード端子を前記電池ケースの底部に設けてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 第3及び第4の単位電極アセンブリのカソード端子とアノード端子を更に前記電池ケースの両側面に設けてなる、請求項8に記載の二次電池。
- 2個の異なる単位電極アセンブリを用いるのに際して、
第1の単位電極アセンブリと第2の単位電極アセンブリそれぞれのカソード端子を、互いに間隔をあけた状態で前記電池ケースの上部に設けてなり、
前記単位電極アセンブリのそれぞれのアノード端子を、互いに間隔をあけた状態で前記電池ケースの底部に設けてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
