Description
ここで、本発明を以下の実施例を参照して更に詳細に説明する。これらの実施例は本発明を説明することのみを目的とするものであり、本発明の範囲や技術思想を制限するものとして解釈してはならない。
カソード活物質としてLi1.1Al0.1Mn1.8O4の組成を有するリチウムマンガン酸化物、カーボンブラック及びバインダとしてPVDF[ポリ(フッ化ビニリデン)]を85:10:5の重量比で、有機溶媒であるNMPに加えることにより、スラリーを調製した。得られたスラリーを厚さ20μMのアルミニウム(Al)箔の両面に塗布し、乾燥してカソード(CAl)を作製した。このようにして作製したカソード(C1)は、リチウムに対しておよそ4.0Vの電位差を持つ。
カソード活物質としてLiFePO4の組成のリン酸鉄リチウムを使用してカソード(C3)を構成した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてバイセルを作製した。実施例1の積層バイセルにおいてカソードとアノードのリード(E3)が側面に露出するように電池を作製した。充電/放電サイクルを繰り返し、E3の電位を50%SOCで測定した。その結果、E3は3.35Vを示し、かくして、1個の電池が3つの異なる電位を提供する目的を達成した。
Claims (7)
- 電池セルを備えた積層型二次電池であって、
前記電池セルが、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造を有するフルセルまたはカソード(アノード)/セパレータ/アノード(カソード)/セパレータ/カソード(アノード)構造を有するバイセルを単位電極アセンブリとして複数個重ねることによって形成されてなり、
複数個の前記単位電極アセンブリのうち、
2個以上の単位電極アセンブリが単位電極アセンブリ毎に異なる電圧をつくるように、前記2個以上の単位電極アセンブリ中のカソード活物質及び/またはアノード活物質が互いに異なる組成を有してなり、及び、異なる電圧に応じたカソード端子とアノード端子を単位電極アセンブリ毎に別々に電池ケースに設けてなり、これにより、1個の電池によって2種類以上の電圧を同時に供給するものであり、
前記異なる電圧が、3.35〜3.95Vの範囲内に設定されてなり、
前記2個以上の単位電極アセンブリが、2個の異なる電圧をつくる第1の単位電極アセンブリ及び第2の単位電極アセンブリを含み、
前記第1の単位電極アセンブリのカソード端子とアノード端子を前記電池ケースの上部に設けてなり、並びに
前記第2の単位電極アセンブリのカソード端子とアノード端子を前記電池ケースの底部に設けてなるものであり、
前記第1の単位電極アセンブリ及び第2の単位電極アセンブリが、同じ組成のアノード活物質を用いてなり、カソード活物質の組成が異なるものである構造に構成されてなる、二次電池。 - 前記第1の単位電極アセンブリ及び第2の単位電極アセンブリが活物質組成の異なる2個のフルセルからなる電池セルを備えてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1の単位電極アセンブリ及び第2の単位電極アセンブリが活物質組成の異なる2個のCタイプ/Aタイプバイセルの組合せからなる電池セルを備えてなり、
前記Cタイプ/Aタイプバイセルが、電極アセンブリの両端に設けられる電極がカソードとされてなるCタイプバイセルと、電極アセンブリの両端に設けられる電極がアノードとされてなるAタイプバイセルとを重ねた配列である、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記二次電池がリチウム二次電池である、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記リチウム二次電池の前記カソード活物質が、リチウムに対して3.4〜4.0Vの電位差を有する活物質から選択されてなるものである、請求項4に記載の二次電池。
- 前記リチウム二次電池の前記アノード活物質が、リチウムに対して0〜1.6Vの電位差を有する活物質から選択されてなる、請求項4に記載の二次電池。
- 前記2個以上の単位電極アセンブリが、前記第1の単位電極アセンブリ及び第2の単位電極アセンブリと異なった、2個の異なる電圧をつくる第3の単位電極アセンブリ及び第4の単位電極アセンブリをさらに含み、
前記第3の単位電極アセンブリ及び前記第4の単位電極アセンブリのカソード端子とアノード端子を更に前記電池ケースの両側面に設けてなる、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
