Abstract
【解決手段】(A)190nmにおける吸光係数が0.09〜0.2(dm3/mg・cm)である、芳香族溶媒中で重合したマレイン酸重合体と(B)イタコン酸重合体、マレイン酸重合体、及びイタコン酸とマレイン酸の共重合体から選択される水性溶媒中で重合された重合体の1種以上を有効成分として含有することを特徴とする水処理剤、及び上記(A)成分と上記(B)成分を同時に使用することを特徴とする水処理方法。

Description
本発明は、水系における金属表面の腐食抑制及びスケール抑制のために使用される水処理剤及び水処理方法であり、重金属類やリン化合物等を用いることなく、(A)特定の波長での吸光度を有する、芳香族溶媒中で重合したマレイン酸重合体と、(B)イタコン酸重合体、マレイン酸重合体、及びイタコン酸とマレイン酸の共重合体から選択される水性溶媒中で重合された重合体の1種以上を同時に使用することにより、前述の個々の水溶性重合体単独よりも優れ、しかも予想し得なかった顕著な金属の腐食抑制効果とスケール抑制効果が得られる。

((A)成分のマレイン酸重合体:A−1〜A−4の調製)
ガラス還流管、窒素通気管、攪拌器付きの4つ口セパラブルフラスコに無水マレイン酸10gとo−キシレン90gを入れ、140℃に昇温して攪拌溶解した。窒素ガス通気下で140℃を維持しながら、ジ−tert−ブチルパーオキシド0.3gをキシレン10gに溶解した開始剤溶液を15分かけて滴下した。滴下終了後、窒素ガス通気下で140℃を90分間維持した。フラスコ底部にポリマーが沈澱したならば、デカンテーションにより上澄み液を取り除いた後、水100mlを加え、透明なポリマー溶液を得た。ポリマー溶液をロータリーエバポレーターに入れ、減圧下50℃で加熱してキシレンを留去して、マレイン酸重合体A−1の30重量%水溶液:55gを得た。共重合体A−1の平均分子量は約400であった。A−1と同様にして表1に記載の配合割合で各マレイン酸重合体A−2〜A−4を合成した。
A−1と同様にして表1に記載の配合割合で各マレイン酸重合体C−1〜C−3を合成した。
ガラス還流管、窒素通気管、滴下ロート、攪拌器付きの4つ口セパラブルフラスコに無水マレイン酸40重量部(0.40モル)、硫酸第一鉄7水和物0.02重量部、水60重量部を加え、これに48%水酸化カリウム水溶液を11.9重量部(0.10モル)加えた。全反応工程中、撹拌しながら窒素を連続的に通気した。液を90℃に加熱した後、35%過酸化水素8重量部と過硫酸ナトリウム0.3重量部を水12重量部に溶解した液を90℃に維持しながら120分間かけて滴下した。滴下終了後、硫酸第一鉄7水和物0.02重量部を一括で加え、更に90℃で2時間加熱して、平均分子量1100のマレイン酸重合体B−1の水溶液を得た。高速液体クロマトグラフ法により残留モノマーを測定した結果、マレイン酸の反応率は90%であった。
ガラス還流管、窒素通気管、滴下ロート、攪拌器付きの4つ口セパラブルフラスコにイタコン酸40重量部(0.3モル)、硫酸第一鉄7水和物0.02重量部、水60重量部を加え、これに48%水酸化カリウム水溶液を11.9重量部(0.1モル)加えた。全反応工程中、撹拌しながら窒素を連続的に通気した。液を90℃に加熱した後、35%過酸化水素8重量部と過硫酸ナトリウム0.3重量部を水12重量部に溶解した液を90℃に維持しながら120分間かけて滴下した。滴下終了後、硫酸第一鉄7水和物0.02重量部を一括で加え、更に90℃で2時間加熱して、平均分子量1100のイタコン酸重合体B−2の水溶液を得た。高速液体クロマトグラフ法により残留モノマーを測定した結果、イタコン酸の反応率は99%であった。
液を100℃に加熱した後、35%過酸化水素40重量部と過硫酸ナトリウム1.5重量部を水12重量部に溶解した液を100℃に維持しながら120分間かけて滴下した以外は、B−1と同様の方法により平均分子量400のマレイン酸重合体B−3の水溶液を得た。
液を80℃に加熱した後、35%過酸化水素6重量部と過硫酸ナトリウム0.5重量部を水12重量部に溶解した液を80℃に維持しながら240分間かけて滴下した以外は、B−1と同様の方法により平均分子量3000のマレイン酸重合体B−4の水溶液を得た。
液を100℃に加熱した後、35%過酸化水素30重量部と過硫酸ナトリウム1.2重量部を水12重量部に溶解した液を100℃に維持しながら120分間かけて滴下した以外は、B−2と同様の方法により平均分子量400のイタコン酸重合体B−5の水溶液を得た。
液を80℃に加熱した後、35%過酸化水素6重量部と過硫酸ナトリウム0.5重量部を水12重量部に溶解した液を80℃に維持しながら120分間かけて滴下した以外は、B−2と同様の方法により平均分子量3000のイタコン酸重合体B−6の水溶液を得た。
ガラス還流管、温度計、窒素通気管、滴下ロート、攪拌器付きの5つ口セパラブルフラスコに無水マレイン酸20重量部(0.20モル)、硫酸第一鉄7水和物0.03重量部、水40重量部を加え、これに48%水酸化カリウム水溶液を23.8重量部(0.20モル)加えた。全反応工程中、撹拌しながら窒素を連続的に通気した。液を90℃に加熱した後、イタコン酸20重量部(0.15モル)、48%水酸化カリウム水溶液9.0重量部(0.08モル)を水50重量部に溶解した液と35%過酸化水素16重量部と過硫酸ナトリウム0.6重量部を水24重量部に溶解した液をそれぞれ別個の滴下ロートに入れ、90℃に維持しながらそれぞれ2時間かけて滴下した。滴下終了後、硫酸第一鉄7水和物0.02重量部を加えてから更に90℃を2時間維持し、平均分子量800のイタコン酸−マレイン酸共重合体(46:54重量%)B−7を得た。高速液体クロマトグラフ法により残留モノマーを測定した結果、イタコン酸の反応率は100%、マレイン酸の反応率は88%であった。
上記方法で調製されたA−1水溶液とB−1水溶液を、A−1とB−1の有効成分が同量(重量として)含有されるように混合して水処理剤―1を調製した。
(水処理剤―2の調製)
上記方法で調製されたA−1水溶液とB−2水溶液を、A−1とB−2の有効成分が同量(重量として)含有されるように混合して水処理剤―2を調製した。
(水処理剤―3の調製)
上記方法で調製されたA−1水溶液とB−7水溶液を、A−1とB−7の有効成分が同量(重量として)含有されるように混合して水処理剤―3を調製した。
(水処理剤―4の調製)
上記方法で調製されたC−2水溶液とB−1水溶液を、C−2とB−1の有効成分が同量(重量として)含有されるように混合して水処理剤―4を調製した。
(水処理剤―5の調製)
上記方法で調製されたC−2水溶液とB−2水溶液を、C−2とB−2の有効成分が同量(重量として)含有されるように混合して水処理剤―5を調製した。
(水処理剤―6の調製)
上記方法で調製されたC−2水溶液とB−7水溶液を、C−2とB−7の有効成分が同量(重量として)含有されるように混合して水処理剤―6を調製した。
JIS K0100−1990 工業用水腐食試験方法(回転法)に従って、寸法50×30×1mm、表面積0.316dm2の 低炭素鋼(JIS G 3141SPCC−SB)試験片をアセトンで脱脂し、乾燥して重量を測定した。次に表2に示す重合体、及び水処理剤を試験水に添加した。試験液の水質は、pH:8.8、Mアルカリ度:300ppm、カルシウム硬度: 300ppm、塩化物イオン:212ppm、リツナー指数(40℃):4.5であった。JIS K0100−1990工業用水腐食試験方法(回転法)に従って、該試験液500mLを還流冷却管、攪拌器付きフラスコに入れて40℃の恒温槽にて保温し、試験片を該試験方法に規定する腐食試験装置のモーター 回転軸の保持器に取り付けて、40℃の試験液の入ったフラスコ中に浸漬し、線速度0.3m/secで3日間、連続で試験片を回転させた。3日後に試験片を 取り出し、表面に付着した腐食性生成物やスケール付着物を流水下、ブラシで除去し、乾燥させて試験片の重量を測定し、次式で腐食速度(mdd)を計算した。

また、走査電子顕微鏡により試験片の観察を行い、スケール性結晶の付着状況を確認した。結果を表2に示す。

- (A)190nmにおける吸光係数が0.09〜0.2(dm3/mg・cm)である、芳香族溶媒中で重合したマレイン酸重合体と(B)イタコン酸重合体、マレイン酸重合体、及びイタコン酸とマレイン酸の共重合体から選択される水性溶媒中で重合された重合体の1種以上を有効成分として含有することを特徴とする水処理剤。
- 190nmにおける吸光係数が0.09〜0.2(dm3/mg・cm)である、芳香族溶媒中で重合したマレイン酸重合体が、(a)(無水)マレイン酸と(b)o−キシレン、m−キシレン、p−キシレン、キシレン異性体の混合物、エチルベンゼン、トルエン、キュメン、トリメチルベンゼンの各異性体、及びテトラメチルベンゼンの各異性体から選ばれる1種以上を構成成分とし、(a)(無水)マレイン酸と(b)の重量構成比が1:4〜1:10であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の水処理剤。
- (A)190nmにおける吸光係数が0.09〜0.2(dm3/mg・cm)である芳香族溶媒中で重合したマレイン酸重合体と(B)イタコン酸重合体、マレイン酸重合体、及びイタコン酸とマレイン酸の共重合体から選択される水性溶媒中で重合された重合体の1種以上を同時に使用することを特徴とする水と接する金属表面の腐食抑制及びスケール抑制を行う水処理方法。
