Abstract
【解決手段】可視光に対する透光性を有し、表裏に、それぞれ独立に、凹凸構造を有する構造体と、構造体の一方の面上に設けられた高屈折率材料層と、高屈折率材料層上に設けられた屈折率が1.6以上の発光体と、を有し、高屈折率材料層は、構造体に接する面より他方の面が平坦であり、高屈折率材料層の屈折率は、1.6以上であり、構造体の屈折率は、1.0より高く、高屈折率材料層の屈折率より低い固体発光素子を提供する。

Description
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の固体発光素子について図1及び図2を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の固体発光素子の一例を説明する。本実施の形態では、有機EL素子を例にして、図3を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の固体発光素子を備える発光装置を用いた、照明装置の一例について図4(A)(B)を用いて説明する。
図5(A)に示す従来例1の有機EL素子は、ガラス基板1000上に、インジウムスズ酸化物(ITO)からなる第1の電極1003と、発光物質を含むEL層1002と、アルミニウムからなる第2の電極1008とが順に積層された構成とした。
図5(B)に示す従来例2の有機EL素子は、従来例1の構成に加え、ガラス基板1000の電極やEL層1002が形成されていない面側に、屈折率1.5の半球状のマイクロレンズ1004を設けた構成とした。このとき、半球の直径は30μmとした。
本発明の一態様の有機EL素子である構成例1(図5(C))は、従来例2の構成に加え、ガラス基板1005と第1の電極1003との間に、高屈折率材料層1006を設けた。高屈折率材料層1006の屈折率は1.8とした。また、ガラス基板1005は、高屈折率材料層1006と接する面に半球状の凹凸構造を有する構成とした。半球の直径は30μmとした。
本発明の一態様の有機EL素子である構成例2(図5(D))は、従来例2の構成に加え、ガラス基板1000と第1の電極1003との間に、ガラス基板1000側から、低屈折率材料層1007及び高屈折率材料層1006を設けた。低屈折率材料層1007の屈折率は1.36とし、高屈折率材料層1006の屈折率は1.8とした。また、低屈折率材料層1007と高屈折率材料層1006との界面は半球状の凹凸構造を有する構成とした。半球の直径は30μmとした。
まず、屈折率約1.48のガラス(コーニング製、EAGLE XG(登録商標))上に屈折率約1.5のマイクロレンズアレイを、金型を用いて作製した。マイクロレンズアレイの材料としては、エポキシメタクリレートを主成分とする「オプトクレーブ HS226」(株式会社アーデル製)を用いて作製した。前述の通り、マイクロレンズアレイのピッチは6μmとした。
まず、発光素子1と同様の方法・材料で、第1の層111、第3の層113、高屈折率材料層201及び発光体301を形成した。
第3の層113上に発光体301を形成することで、比較発光素子3を作製した。第3の層113としては、屈折率約1.48のガラス(コーニング製、EAGLE XG(登録商標))を用い、発光体301は、発光素子1と同様の方法で作製した。
酸化珪素を含むインジウム錫酸化物(ITSO)をスパッタリング法にて成膜し、陽極として機能する第1の電極1101を形成した。なお、その膜厚は110nmとし、電極面積は2mm×2mmとした。
上記実施例で用いた2−[3−(ジベンゾチオフェン−4−イル)フェニル]ジベンゾ[f,h]キノキサリン(略称:2mDBTPDBq−II)の合成方法について説明する。
1H NMR(CDCl3,300MHz):δ(ppm)=7.45−7.52(m,2H),7.59−7.65(m,2H),7.71−7.91(m,7H),8.20−8.25(m,2H),8.41(d,J=7.8Hz,1H),8.65(d,J=7.5Hz,2H),8.77−8.78(m,1H),9.23(dd,J=7.2Hz,1.5Hz,1H),9.42(dd,J=7.8Hz,1.5Hz,1H),9.48(s,1H)。
上記実施例で用いた(アセチルアセトナト)ビス(4,6−ジフェニルピリミジナト)イリジウム(III)(略称:[Ir(dppm)2(acac)])の合成方法について説明する。
まず、4,6−ジクロロピリミジン5.02g、フェニルボロン酸8.29g、炭酸ナトリウム7.19g、ビス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(II)ジクロリド(略称:Pd(PPh3)2Cl2)0.29g、水20mL、アセトニトリル20mLを、還流管を付けたナスフラスコに入れ、内部をアルゴン置換した。この反応容器にマイクロ波(2.45GHz 100W)を60分間照射することで加熱した。ここで更にフェニルボロン酸2.08g、炭酸ナトリウム1.79g、Pd(PPh3)2Cl20.070g、水5mL、アセトニトリル5mLをフラスコに入れ、再度マイクロ波(2.45GHz 100W)を60分間照射することで加熱した。その後この溶液に水を加え、ジクロロメタンにて有機層を抽出した。得られた抽出液を水で洗浄し、硫酸マグネシウムにて乾燥させた。乾燥した後の溶液を濾過した。この溶液の溶媒を留去した後、得られた残渣を、ジクロロメタンを展開溶媒とするシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーで精製し、ピリミジン誘導体Hdppmを得た(黄白色粉末、収率38%)。なお、マイクロ波の照射は、マイクロ波合成装置(CEM社製 Discover)を用いた。以下にステップ1の合成スキーム(B−1)を示す。
次に、2−エトキシエタノール15mL、水5mL、上記ステップ1で得たHdppm1.10g、塩化イリジウム水和物(IrCl3・H2O)0.69gを、還流管を付けたナスフラスコに入れ、ナスフラスコ内をアルゴン置換した。その後、マイクロ波(2.45GHz 100W)を1時間照射し、反応させた。溶媒を留去した後、得られた残渣をエタノールで濾過し、次いで洗浄し、複核錯体[Ir(dppm)2Cl]2を得た(赤褐色粉末、収率88%)。以下にステップ2の合成スキーム(B−2)を示す。
さらに、2−エトキシエタノール40mL、上記ステップ2で得た[Ir(dppm)2Cl]21.44g、アセチルアセトン0.30g、炭酸ナトリウム1.07gを、還流管を付けたナスフラスコに入れ、ナスフラスコ内をアルゴン置換した。その後、マイクロ波(2.45GHz 120W)を60分間照射し、反応させた。溶媒を留去し、得られた残渣をジクロロメタンに溶解して濾過し、不溶物を除去した。得られた濾液を水、次いで飽和食塩水で洗浄し、硫酸マグネシウムにて乾燥させた。乾燥した後の溶液を濾過した。この溶液の溶媒を留去した後、得られた残渣を、ジクロロメタン:酢酸エチル=50:1(体積比)を展開溶媒とするシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーで精製した。その後、ジクロロメタンとヘキサンの混合溶媒にて再結晶化することにより、目的物である橙色粉末を得た(収率32%)。以下にステップ3の合成スキーム(B−3)を示す。

Claims (9)
- 可視光に対する透光性を有し、表裏に、それぞれ独立に、凹凸構造を有する構造体と、
前記構造体の一方の面上に設けられた、高屈折率材料層と、
前記高屈折率材料層上に設けられた、屈折率が1.6以上の発光領域を含む発光体と、を有し、
前記高屈折率材料層は、前記構造体に接する面より他方の面が平坦であり、
前記高屈折率材料層の屈折率は、1.6以上であり、
前記構造体の屈折率は、1.0より高く、前記高屈折率材料層の屈折率より低い固体発光素子。 - 可視光に対する透光性を有し、表裏に、それぞれ独立に、凹凸構造を有する構造体と、
前記構造体の一方の面上に設けられた、高屈折率材料層と、
前記高屈折率材料層上に設けられた、第1の電極と、
前記第1の電極上に設けられた、発光物質を含む層と、
前記発光物質を含む層上に設けられた、第2の電極と、を有し、
前記高屈折率材料層は、前記構造体に接する面より他方の面が平坦であり、
前記高屈折率材料層の屈折率、前記第1の電極の屈折率、及び前記発光物質を含む層の屈折率は、それぞれ1.6以上であり、
前記構造体の屈折率は、1.0より高く、前記高屈折率材料層の屈折率より低い固体発光素子。 - 請求項2において、
前記高屈折率材料層と前記第1の電極との間に、屈折率が1.6以上の窒化膜を有する固体発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項において、
前記構造体の屈折率が1.3以上であり、前記高屈折率材料層の屈折率よりも低い固体発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一項において、
前記高屈折率材料層の屈折率が、1.7以上である固体発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一項において、
前記構造体は、前記高屈折率材料層と接する第1の層と、前記第1の層と一方の面で接する第2の層からなり、
前記第1の層の屈折率と前記第2の層の屈折率の差は、0.15以下であり、
前記第1の層は、前記高屈折率材料層と接する面に凹凸構造を有し、
前記第2の層は、他方の面に凹凸構造を有する固体発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一項において、
前記構造体は、前記高屈折率材料層と接する第1の層と、前記第1の層と接する第2の層と、前記第2の層と接する第3の層からなり、
前記第1の層の屈折率、前記第2の層の屈折率、及び前記第3の層の屈折率の差は、0.15以下であり、
前記第1の層は、前記高屈折率材料層と接する面に凹凸構造を有し、
前記第3の層は、前記第2の層と接する面とは逆側の面に凹凸構造を有する固体発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか一項に記載の固体発光素子を備える発光装置。
- 請求項8に記載の発光装置を備える照明装置。
