Abstract
【解決手段】基板上に設けられた、第1の電極と、該第1の電極上に設けられた、発光性の有機化合物を含む層と、該発光性の有機化合物を含む層上に設けられた、島状の絶縁層と、該絶縁層上に設けられた、島状の補助電極層と、該発光性の有機化合物を含む層上及び該補助電極層上に設けられた、可視光に対する透光性を有する第2の電極と、を有する発光装置を提供する。

本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の発光装置について図1を用いて説明する。図1(B)は、図1(A)に示す発光装置10の、a−b間、b−d間、及びc−d間の断面図を示す。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様により形成された発光装置を用いた照明装置について図4(A)(B)を用いて説明する。

Claims (12)
- 基板上に設けられた、第1の電極と、
前記第1の電極上に設けられた、発光性の有機化合物を含む層と、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層上に設けられた、島状の絶縁層と、
前記絶縁層上に設けられた、島状の補助電極層と、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層上及び前記補助電極層上に設けられた、可視光に対する透光性を有する第2の電極と、を有する発光装置。 - 請求項1において、
前記第2の電極が、凹凸を有する発光装置。 - 請求項1において、
可視光に対する透光性と、凹凸とを有する層を、前記第2の電極上に備える発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項において、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層は、前記第1の電極と接する、有機化合物と金属酸化物とを含む複合材料層を有する発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一項において、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層は、前記第2の電極と接する、有機化合物と金属酸化物とを含む複合材料層を有する発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一項において、
前記基板と前記第1の電極との間に、凹凸を有する発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置を含む照明装置。
- 基板上に、第1の電極を形成し、
前記第1の電極上に、発光性の有機化合物を含む層を形成し、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層上に、シャドーマスクを配置し、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層上に、島状の絶縁層を形成し、
前記絶縁層上に、島状の補助電極層を形成し、
前記シャドーマスクを外し、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層上及び前記補助電極層上に、可視光に対する透光性を有する第2の電極を形成する、発光装置の作製方法。 - 請求項8において、
前記第2の電極を形成した後、前記第2の電極に凹凸を形成する発光装置の作製方法。 - 請求項8において、
前記第2の電極を形成した後、前記第2の電極上に、可視光に対する透光性と、凹凸とを有する層を形成する発光装置の作製方法。 - 請求項8乃至請求項10のいずれか一項において、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層の一層として、
前記第1の電極と接する、有機化合物と金属酸化物とを含む複合材料層を形成する発光装置の作製方法。 - 請求項8乃至請求項11のいずれか一項において、
前記発光性の有機化合物を含む層の一層として、
前記第2の電極と接する、有機化合物と金属酸化物とを含む複合材料層を形成する発光装置の作製方法。
