- ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)と、
ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)ブロックと平均で35〜80個のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含むポリシロキサンブロックとを含むポリ(アリーレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロック共重合体と、
を含む熱可塑性組成物であって、
前記熱可塑性組成物は、1〜8質量%のシロキサン繰り返し単位と12〜99質量%のアリーレンエーテル繰り返し単位とを含み、
前記熱可塑性組成物は、一価フェノールとヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンを含むモノマー混合物の酸化共重合ステップを備えたプロセスでの生成物であり、
前記熱可塑性組成物の質量平均分子量は少なくとも30,000原子質量単位であることを特徴とする熱可塑性組成物。 - 質量平均分子量が30,000〜150,000原子質量単位であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- クロロホルム中25℃で測定した固有粘度が少なくとも0.3dL/gであることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の熱可塑性組成物。

- 分子量が10,000原子質量単位未満の分子を25質量%未満含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 分子量が10,000原子質量単位未満の前記分子は、平均で5〜10質量%のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 分子量が100,000原子質量単位を超える分子を25質量%未満含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 分子量が100,000原子質量単位を超える前記分子は、平均で3〜6質量%のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物であって、
前記熱可塑性組成物は、分子量が10,000原子質量単位未満の分子を25質量%未満含み、
分子量が10,000原子質量単位未満の前記分子は、平均で5〜10質量%のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含み、
前記熱可塑性組成物は、分子量が100,000原子質量単位を超える分子を25質量%未満含み、
分子量が100,000原子質量単位を超える前記分子は、平均で3〜6質量%のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含むことを特徴とする熱可塑性組成物。 - 前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは35〜60個のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは40〜50個のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 請求項1乃至請求項11のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物であって、前記一価フェノールは2,6−ジメチルフェノールから構成され、前記熱可塑性組成物は0.4質量%以下の2,6−ジメチルフェノキシ基を含むことを特徴とする熱可塑性組成物。
- 請求項1乃至請求項12のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物であって、前記一価フェノールは2,6−ジメチルフェノールから構成され、前記熱可塑性組成物は0.2〜0.4質量%の2,6−ジメチルフェノキシ基を含むことを特徴とする熱可塑性組成物。
- 前記ポリ(アリーレンエーテル)ブロックは下式の構造を有するアリーレンエーテル繰り返し単位を含み、
C1−C12ヒドロカルビルオキシ、あるいは少なくとも2つの炭素原子がハロゲンと酸素原子とを分離しているC2−C12ハロヒドロカルビルオキシであり、
前記ポリシロキサンブロックは、下式の構造を有する繰り返し単位を含み、
前記ポリシロキサンブロックはさらに下式の構造を有する末端単位を含み、
- 一価フェノールとヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンを酸化共重合して熱可塑性組成物を製造するステップを備える熱可塑性組成物の調製方法であって、
前記酸化共重合は、少なくとも50質量%の前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンと50質量%以下の前記一価フェノールの存在下で開始され、
前記酸化共重合の反応時間は110分以上であり、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは平均で35〜80個のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含み、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは、合計質量が1〜8質量%の前記一価フェノールと前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンを構成することを特徴とする調製方法。 - 前記熱可塑性組成物は、1〜8質量%のシロキサン繰り返し単位と12〜99質量%のアリーレンエーテル繰り返し単位とを含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性組成物の質量平均分子量は少なくとも30,000原子質量単位であることを特徴とする請求項16または請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記熱可塑性組成物では、前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンの75質量%超がポリ(アリーレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロック共重合体に組み込まれていることを特徴とする請求項16乃至請求項18のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記一価フェノールは2,6−ジメチルフェノールであり、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは、35〜60個のジメチルシロキサン単位を含むオイゲノール−キャップ化ポリジメチルシロキサンであり、
前記酸化共重合は、少なくとも90質量%の前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンと2〜20質量%の前記一価フェノールの存在下で開始され、
前記酸化共重合の反応時間は170〜220分であり、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは、合計質量が2〜7質量%の前記一価フェノールと前記キャップ化ポリシロキサンを構成することを特徴とする請求項16乃至請求項19のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 一価フェノールとヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンを酸化共重合して熱可塑性組成物を製造するステップを備え、
前記酸化共重合は、少なくとも50質量%の前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンと50質量%以下の前記一価フェノールの存在下で開始され、
前記酸化共重合の反応時間は110分以上であり、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは、平均で35〜80個のシロキサン繰り返し単位を含み、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは、合計質量が1〜8質量%の前記一価フェノールと前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンを構成することを特徴とする方法で調製された熱可塑性組成物。 - 前記反応時間には80〜160分のビルド時間が含まれることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 1〜8質量%のシロキサン繰り返し単位と12〜99質量%のアリーレンエーテル繰り返し単位を含むことを特徴とする請求項21または請求項22に記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 質量平均分子量が少なくとも30,000原子質量単位であることを特徴とする請求項21乃至請求項23のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンの75質量%超がポリ(アリーレンエーテル)−ポリシロキサンブロック共重合体に組み込まれていることを特徴とする請求項21乃至請求項24のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物。
- 前記一価フェノールは2,6−ジメチルフェノールであり、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは、35〜60個のジメチルシロキサン単位を含むオイゲノール−キャップ化ポリジメチルシロキサンであり、
前記酸化共重合は、少なくとも90質量%の前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンと2〜20質量%の前記一価フェノールの存在下で開始され、
前記酸化共重合の反応時間は170〜220分であり、
前記ヒドロキシアリール末端ポリシロキサンは、合計質量が2〜7質量%の前記一価フェノールと前記キャップ化ポリシロキサンを構成することを特徴とする請求項21乃至請求項25のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性組成物。
