テキスタイルをイメージ層として含むラミネートの形態の更に別のパネルを製造した。クリーンルームにおいて、シートをマスクせず、50/50%(容積)水/イソプロピル溶液で洗浄し、空気乾燥し、脱イオン空気を使用して静電気をシートから除去した。以下のものをテーブル上で以下の順序(上から下)で組み立てた:0.5”×4’×8’ポリカーボネートシート、イメージ層(薄いナイロンテキスタイル)、0.025”脂肪族TPUフィルム(Deerfield A 4700)、0.5”×4’×8’ポリカーボネートシート。
乗物爆弾ブラストをシミュレートするABAQUSコンピュータモデルにおいて本発明によって製造されるバーチャルバリア構造体を試験した。このモデルは、トリニトロトルエン(TNT)2000ポンド相当物を、厚さ25〜35mmのポリカーボネートの4’×8’シートであるパネルに対して100フィート、80フィートおよび50フィートの距離において、および厚さ25mmのポリカーボネートの2’×8’シートに対してこの耐ブラスト性バリアから80フィート、50フィートおよび40フィートにおいて使用してブラストをシミュレートした。データは、4×8フィートのパネルに関して、スタンドオフ(stand off)距離(ブラストからの距離)が50フィートよりも長くなくてはならないことを示す。2×8フィートのパネルに関して、スタンドオフ距離は40フィートよりも長くなければならない。
Claims (18)
- それぞれフレームに固定して取り付けられたパネルを含む1以上のユニットを備える耐ブラスト性バリアであって、該パネルが厚さ20〜40ミリメートルであり、少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートを含み、ブラストのソースとブラストターゲットとの間に垂直に配置されている、耐ブラスト性バリア。
- 該フレームが、炭素鋼、ステンレススチールおよびアルミニウムからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのメンバーを含有する、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該フレームがコンクリートを土台としている、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該フレームが該ターゲットに固定されている、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルが、凹面であり、くぼんだ面が該ソースに面する、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルが一体型ポリカーボネートシートの形態である、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルが1よりも多くのポリカーボネートシートを含むラミネートの形態である、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 更に該シート同士の間に挿入されたイメージ層を備える、請求項7に記載のバリア。
- 該イメージ層が、ファブリック、写真、紙、ワイヤー、スクリーン、ロッド、バー、ガラスおよび植物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのメンバーを含む、請求項8に記載のバリア。
- 該メンバーが、該メンバーおよび該ポリカーボネートと相溶性のポリマー樹脂中に封入されている、請求項9に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルの少なくとも片面がハードコートされている、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルの少なくとも片面がエンボスされている、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルが紫外線安定剤を含む、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該フレームが「C」断面を有する、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルが複数のボルトによって該フレームに固定して取り付けられている、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルが接着剤によって該フレームに取り付けられている、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該パネルが、接着剤によって互いに結合される少なくとも2つのポリカーボネートシートを含む、請求項1に記載のバリア。
- 該接着剤が熱可塑性ポリウレタンである、請求項17に記載のバリア。
