Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の有機電界発光表示装置は、走査線に走査信号を供給するための走査駆動部と、データ線に前記走査信号に同期するようにデータ信号を供給するためのデータ駆動部と、前記走査線と前記データ線との交差部に位置し、前記データ信号に対応して、第1電源から有機発光ダイオードを経由して第2電源に流れる電流量を制御する画素と、外部から入力されるデータを2Dまたは3Dデータに分類し、1フレームの2Dまたは3Dデータを用いて2フレーム以上の2Dまたは3Dデータを生成するデータ処理部と、前記データ処理部から入力された2Dまたは3Dデータを前記データ駆動部に伝達するタイミング制御部とを備え、前記タイミング制御部の制御により、1フレーム期間中、前記走査線に走査信号が供給される走査期間において、前記画素は非発光状態に設定される。

Claims (17)
- 走査線に走査信号を供給するための走査駆動部と、
データ線に前記走査信号に同期するようにデータ信号を供給するためのデータ駆動部と、
前記走査線と前記データ線との交差部に位置し、前記データ信号に対応して、第1電源から有機発光ダイオードを経由して第2電源に流れる電流量を制御する画素と、
外部から入力されるデータを2Dまたは3Dデータに分類し、1フレームの2Dまたは3Dデータを用いて2フレーム以上の2Dまたは3Dデータを生成するデータ処理部と、
前記データ処理部から入力された2Dまたは3Dデータを前記データ駆動部に伝達するタイミング制御部とを備え、
前記タイミング制御部の制御により、1フレーム期間中、前記走査線に走査信号が供給される走査期間において、前記画素は非発光状態に設定されることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記データ処理部は、
前記外部から入力されるデータの識別ビットを用いて前記データを2Dまたは3Dデータに分類するデータ分配部と、
1フレーム分の前記3Dデータを用いて左眼映像に対応するフレームデータ及び右眼映像に対応するフレームデータを生成するための3Dデータ処理部と、
1フレーム分の前記2Dデータを用いて2つ以上のフレームデータを生成するための2Dデータ処理部と、
前記3Dデータ処理部及び2Dデータ処理部からのデータを前記タイミング制御部に伝達するためのデータ伝達部とをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記データ処理部は、i(iは自然数)Hzの駆動周波数で前記外部からデータを受信し、j(jはiより大きい自然数)Hzの駆動周波数で前記3Dデータ及び2Dデータを前記タイミング制御部に伝達することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記iは60、前記jは120であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記タイミング制御部に接続され、前記走査期間に対応する無線信号を送出するための無線送信部と、
前記無線信号に対応して、応答時間を前記走査期間に同期させるシャッタ眼鏡とを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1電源を生成するための第1電源駆動部と、
前記第2電源を生成するための第2電源駆動部とをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1電源駆動部は、前記タイミング制御部の制御に対応して、1フレーム期間中の前記走査期間に前記第1電源をローレベルに設定し、それ以外の期間に前記第1電源をハイレベルに設定することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2電源駆動部は、前記タイミング制御部の制御に対応して、1フレーム期間中の前記走査期間に前記第2電源をハイレベルに設定し、それ以外の期間に前記第2電源をローレベルに設定することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記画素に共通して接続される発光制御線をさらに備え、前記走査駆動部は、前記タイミング制御部の制御に対応して、前記走査期間に前記発光制御線に発光制御信号を供給することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記画素の各々は、
前記有機発光ダイオードと、
前記有機発光ダイオードに供給される電流量を制御するための駆動トランジスタと、
前記駆動トランジスタと前記第1電源、または前記駆動トランジスタと前記有機発光ダイオードとの間に接続され、前記発光制御信号が供給されたときにターンオフされる制御トランジスタとを備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 外部からデータが入力される第1ステップと、
前記データの識別ビットを用いて前記データを2Dデータまたは3Dデータに分類する第2ステップと、
前記第2ステップで3Dデータに分類された場合、1フレーム分の3Dデータを用いて左眼映像に対応するフレームデータ及び右眼映像に対応するフレームデータを生成する第3ステップと、
前記第2ステップで2Dデータに分類された場合、1フレーム分の2Dデータを用いて2フレーム分のデータを生成する第4ステップと、
前記第3ステップまたは前記第4ステップで生成された3Dデータまたは2Dデータを用いてデータ信号を生成する第5ステップとを含み、
1フレーム期間中、前記データ信号が画素に供給される走査期間において、すべての画素は非発光状態に設定され、前記走査期間を除く発光期間において、前記画素は、前記データ信号に対応して発光することを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記発光期間において、前記画素は、前記データ信号に対応して、第1電源から有機発光ダイオードを経由して第2電源に流れる電流量を制御することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記走査期間に前記第1電源の電圧がローレベルに設定され、前記発光期間に前記第1電源の電圧がハイレベルに設定されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記走査期間に前記第2電源の電圧がハイレベルに設定され、前記発光期間に前記第2電源の電圧がローレベルに設定されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記画素は、前記第1電源から前記有機発光ダイオードの間に位置する制御トランジスタを備え、前記制御トランジスタは、前記走査期間にターンオフされ、前記発光期間にターンオンされることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記3Dデータを用いて映像を表示する場合、i(iは自然数)番目のフレームは左眼映像を表示し、i+1番目のフレームは右眼映像を表示することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記i番目のフレームの発光期間とi+1番目のフレームの発光期間との間の走査期間をシャッタ眼鏡の応答時間に同期させるように実現することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
