Abstract
【解決手段】二つのエアクリーナ20A,20Bを、互いの空気入口24,24が上向きとなる状態で同一水平面上に平行に並べて設置する一方、外気を吸入する吸気ダクト21を、両エアクリーナ20A,20Bの上方に重ねて配置し、この吸気ダクト21と両エアクリーナ20A,20Bの空気入口24,24とを接続した。また、両エアクリーナ20A,20Bから出た濾過済み空気をエンジンに供給する合流室22を、エアクリーナ20A,20Bと同一水平面上で直交する方向に配置し、これらを共通の取付部材26に取付けた。

Description
(I) 下部走行体上に上部旋回体が搭載され、この上部旋回体に作業アタッチメントが取付けられて構成される点、
(II) 上部旋回体の前部にキャビンが設置されるとともに、後部にエンジンルーム5が形成され、ここにエンジン6とその関連機器が設置される点、
(III) エンジンルーム5の前方に第1仕切り板7を挟んで吸気室8が形成され、エンジン6に燃焼用の空気(外気)を供給するエンジン吸気装置19がこの吸気室8に設置される点、
(IV) エンジンルーム5及び吸気室8はガード部材13によって形成され、吸気室8とその前方空間とを仕切る第2仕切り板12が設けられる点
は、図7,8に示す従来装置9と同じである。
エンジン吸気装置19は、外気を濾過する第1及び第2両エアクリーナ20A,20Bと、この両エアクリーナ20A,20Bに外気を導入する吸気ダクト(図1中には二点鎖線で示す)21と、エアクリーナ20A,20Bから出る濾過済み空気を合流させてエンジンに供給する合流室22とを有する。
(1) 図5,6に示すように、吸気ダクト21を、基本実施形態とは逆に、両エアクリーナ20A,20B及び合流室22の下方に重ねて配置してもよい。

Claims (5)
- 外気を複数のエアクリーナに通して濾過した後、合流室で合流させてエンジンに供給するように構成され、かつ、次の(A)〜(C)の要件をすべて具備することを特徴とする建設機械のエンジン吸気装置。
(A) 上記複数のエアクリーナを、互いの上記空気入口が上下方向の同じ方向を向く状態で同一水平面上に平行に並べて設置すること。
(B) 外気を吸入する吸気ダクトを、上記各エアクリーナの空気入口が向く方向である上方または下方に重ねて配置し、この吸気ダクトと各エアクリーナの空気入口とを接続すること。
(C) 上記合流室を、上記エアクリーナの軸方向と直交する方向に設置し、各エアクリーナの空気出口とこの合流室とを接続すること。 - 上記各エアクリーナと合流室を共通の取付部材に取付けたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の建設機械のエンジン吸気装置。
- 上記各エアクリーナ及び合流室を、吸気ダクトが占める平面スペース内に設置したことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の建設機械のエンジン吸気装置。
- 上記各エアクリーナを、互いの軸方向の両端と、互いの空気入口及び空気出口が同じ軸方向位置に位置する状態で並設したことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の建設機械のエンジン吸気装置。
- 上記各エアクリーナの空気出口をエアクリーナの軸方向の一端に軸方向に向けて設け、上記合流室をエアクリーナと同じ水平面上にエアクリーナの軸方向と直交して設置したことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の建設機械のエンジン吸気装置。
