Abstract
【解決手段】熱板に第一のバネを用いてボディ(伝熱部材)を出し入れ自在に設け、ボディに第二のバネを用いて接続部材を出し入れ自在に設け、接続部材の先端にカシメ部材を設けている。カシメ部材をカシメ対象である樹脂製ボスに押し当てていくと、第一と第二のバネは圧縮され、ボディは所定温度に加熱された熱板の中に入り、接続部材はボディの中に入り、ボディと接続部材先端のカシメ部材が密着する。熱板の熱はボディを経てカシメ部材に伝わる。カシメ部材は加熱され、樹脂製ボスを軟化させる。第一と第二のバネはボディとカシメ部材をそれぞれ押圧し、カシメ部材は樹脂製ボスを変形させる。その後、熱板を上昇させ、カシメ部材に加わる押圧力を減少し、ボディとカシメ部材を離し、カシメ部材にエアーを吹き付けて冷却し、カシメ部材を樹脂製ボスから離すようにする。

また、熱カシメピンの先端で樹脂製ボスを熱カシメすると、軟化した樹脂の一部が熱カシメピンの先端に付着したまま引っ張られる、いわゆる糸引き現象を起こす可能性があった。そのため、従来の熱カシメ装置では、熱カシメピンを樹脂製ボスに押し当てた後、熱カシメピンを糸引き現象を生じない温度以下に冷却してから離間させていた。そして、熱カシメの時間を短縮するために、熱カシメピンの先端に強制的にエアー(常温の空気)を吹きつけて冷却していた(例えば、特許文献2参照)。
しかし、特許文献1では熱源である加熱ブロックと熱カシメピンが常に一体をなしていることから熱カシメピンの冷却と加熱に時間を要するという問題がある。また、特許文献2では、熱風を吹き付けることで取付用ボスを加熱軟化させ、冷風を吹付けて冷却しているが、熱風と冷風の吹き付けでは加熱と冷却に時間がかり、温度の偏りもできる等の問題がある。
以下、本発明を実施するための形態を図面とともに説明する。図1は、本発明の熱カシメ装置の要部について、熱板1、2と、熱カシメ部3と、熱カシメ対象を載置するアンビル7、熱カシメ対象である樹脂製ボス付き樹脂板8、樹脂製ボス付き樹脂板8の上に重ねて熱カシメ固定するカバーシート10、カシメ部材を冷却するエアーノズル11の位置関係がわかるように一部を断面として示した側面図である。
7は、熱カシメ対象である樹脂製ボス付き樹脂板8を載置するアンビルであり、アンビル7の上に樹脂製ボス付き樹脂板8を、樹脂製ボス9を上向きにした状態で載置する。樹脂製ボス付き樹脂板8の上には、樹脂製ボス9に対向する位置に孔のあいたカバーシート10を重ねて、樹脂製ボス9の先端を突出させる。図1では、樹脂製ボス付き樹脂板8の上面に突出した複数個の樹脂製ボス9に対向する位置に、先端にカシメ部材を有する熱カシメ部3を配置している。
図2で、熱カシメ部3は、一体化した熱板1、2の下方の熱板2に埋め込んである。すなわち、熱板2には、上方に内径の大きい孔21をあけ、下方に内径の小さい孔22をあけている。上方の孔21には第一のバネ32を入れ、下方の孔22にはボディ33を入れて上下にスライドできるようにしている。ボディ33は内部に段付き孔をあけ、段付き孔の上部に雌ネジを切って、この雌ネジにキャップ31をねじ込み固定している。そのため、ボディ33は下方の孔22をスライドするものの上部にねじ込み固定したキャップ31の上面に第一のバネ32の押圧力を受け、下方に押し付けられている。
特に、本発明は、熱板1、2を所定のストロークで往復動するときに、熱カシメ部3内のボディ33とカシメ部材36の相対的位置関係を変化させることにより、カシメ部材36の急速加熱と急速冷却をしやすくしている。図3と図4に、本発明の熱カシメ装置の工程図を示し、図5に、本発明の熱カシメ装置のカシメ部材の各工程の温度変化と押圧力変化をグラフで示した。図5の横軸は時間軸(t)、左縦軸はカシメ部材の温度(T)、右縦軸はカシメ部材が樹脂製ボスの上端を押す押圧力(P)を示している。以下、図3と図4を図5と対比しながら、熱板1、2と、ボディ33と、カシメ部材36の相対的位置関係の変化を説明する。
また、上記の説明では、熱板1、2をプレス機に取り付けた場合を説明したが、本発明にかかる熱カシメ装置をロボットアームに取り付けて、熱カシメ対象の部位を押圧する往復動作を行えば、立体的に角度のある斜面の部位の熱カシメであっても安定的に行うことができる。

Claims (6)
- 発熱手段により加熱される熱板内に第一のバネを用いて伝熱部材を出し入れ自在に設け、
前記伝熱部材内に前記第一のバネよりも押圧力の弱い第二のバネを用いて接続部材を出し入れ自在に設け、
前記接続部材の先端に、前記伝熱部材と接触することで前記熱板の熱が伝達され、カシメ対象である樹脂製ボスを熱カシメするカシメ部材を設けて熱カシメ部を構成し、
前記カシメ部材にエアーを吹き付けるエアーノズルを設け、
前記発熱手段により加熱された熱板を前記樹脂製ボス側に移動させ、前記カシメ部材を前記樹脂製ボスに押し当てて、前記第二のバネを圧縮し前記伝熱部材と前記カシメ部材とを当接させることで当該伝熱部材を介して前記熱板の熱を前記カシメ部材へ伝達し、その後前記第一のバネの押圧力を加えることにより前記樹脂製ボスを熱カシメするよう構成するとともに、
その後、前記熱板を前記樹脂製ボスから離す方向に移動させ、前記カシメ部材に加わっていた押圧力を減少させ前記伝熱部材と前記カシメ部材を離し、前記エアーノズルより前記カシメ部材にエアーを吹き付けて、前記カシメ部材を前記樹脂製ボスから離すように構成したことを特徴とする熱カシメ装置。 - 前記熱カシメ部の前記接続部材の熱伝導率を、前記伝熱部材と前記カシメ部材の熱伝導率より小さくしたことを特徴とする請求項1の熱カシメ装置。
- 前記熱板に、複数の前記熱カシメ部を配置して複数の樹脂製ボスを同時に熱カシメするよう構成した請求項1または請求項2のいずれかに記載の熱カシメ装置。
- (1)発熱手段により加熱される熱板内に第一のバネを用いて伝熱部材を出し入れ自在に設け、前記伝熱部材に第二のバネを用いて接続部材を出し入れ自在に設け、前記接続部材の先端にカシメ部材を設けて熱カシメ部を構成した熱カシメ装置を用い、
(2)前記熱板を前記樹脂製ボス側に移動させ、前記カシメ部材をカシメ対象である樹脂製ボスに押し当てて、
(3)前記第二のバネを圧縮し、前記伝熱部材を前記発熱手段により所定温度に加熱した熱板の中に入れ、前記伝熱部材と前記カシメ部材を当接させ、前記熱板の熱を前記伝熱部材から前記カシメ部材に伝えて前記カシメ部材を加熱し、
(4)前記樹脂製ボスを軟化させ、前記第一のバネの押圧力を加えることで、前記カシメ部材が前記樹脂製ボスを熱カシメし、
(5)前記熱板を上昇させ、前記カシメ部材に加わっていた押圧力を減少し、伝熱部材とカシメ部材を離し、
(6)前記カシメ部材にエアーを吹き付けて冷却し、
(7)前記カシメ部材を前記樹脂製ボスから離すようにしたことを特徴とする熱カシメ方法。 - 前記熱カシメ部の前記接続部材の熱伝導率を、前記伝熱部材と前記カシメ部材の熱伝導率より小さくした熱カシメ装置を用いることとした請求項4記載の熱カシメ方法。
- 前記熱板に、複数の前記熱カシメ部を配置して複数の樹脂製ボスを同時に熱カシメするようにした請求項4または請求項5のいずれかに記載の熱カシメ方法。
