Abstract
Description
(A)実質的に主鎖中に炭素−炭素二重結合を有する熱可塑性樹脂、
(B)遷移金属塩、及び
(C)酸素バリヤーポリマー
のブレンドである脱酸素組成物からなり、多層フィルムは更に内側シーラント層及び/または外側酷使層を含み、フィルムは少なくとも約0.01cc酸素/日/g−脱酸素組成物ブレンドの脱酸素速度を有している。
1つの実施形態では、少なくとも1つのアクティブ酸素バリヤー層18は、実質的に主鎖中に炭素−炭素二重結合を有する熱可塑性樹脂(A)、遷移金属塩(B)及び酸素バリヤーポリマー(C)のブレンドである組成物からなる。幾つかの実施形態では、前記ブレンドは相容化剤(D)をも含み得る。酸素バリヤーポリマーは典型的には組成物の70から99重量%を構成し、炭素−炭素二重結合を有する熱可塑性樹脂は典型的には組成物のポリマー部分の約1から30重量%を構成している。相容化剤を使用する場合、相容化剤は通常組成物の全ポリマー部分の約0.1から29重量%を構成している。適当なアクティブ酸素バリヤー組成物は米国特許公開第2006/0281882号及び同第2005/0153087号に詳細に記載されており、これらの開示内容は本明細書の教示内容に一致する程度に参照により組み入れる。

先に検討したように、パッシブ酸素バリヤー層20,22は通常“パッシブ”酸素バリヤーである高分子材料からなる。パッシブ酸素バリヤー層中に使用され得る酸素バリヤーポリマーは、典型的には相対湿度65%及び20℃で500cc・20μm/(m2・日・atm)以下の酸素透過性を有する酸素バリヤーポリマーからなる。特に、パッシブ酸素バリヤー層は相対湿度65%及び20℃で100cc−20μm/(m2−日−atm)以下、例えば20cc−20μm/(m2−日−atm)以下の酸素透過性を有し得、更に特にパッシブ酸素バリヤー層は相対湿度65%及び20℃で5cc−20um/(m2−日−atm)以下の酸素透過性を有し得る。1つの実施形態では、パッシブ酸素バリヤー層は25℃で約5.8×10−8cm3/m2・s・Pa(すなわち、約500cm3/m2・24時間・atm)以下、例えば1.06×10−8cm3/m2−s−Pa(すなわち、100cm3/m2・24時間・atm)以下、例えば0.58×10−8cm3/m2・s・Pa(すなわち、50cm3/m2−24時間−atm)以下の酸素透過性を有する。
先に検討したように、シーラント層は多層フィルムの内側(すなわち、食品側)表層24を規定し得る。シーラント層は、例えばパウチを形成すべく多層フィルム10を他の対象物(例えば、支持部材またはトレー、フィルム)に対して、またはそれ自体に対してヒートシールしやすくする高分子材料(例えば、成分または成分のブレンド)からなり得る。シーラント層は通常支持部材、フィルムの1つ以上の追加シート、またはそれ自体に対してヒートシール可能な高分子樹脂または高分子樹脂の組合せからなる。
LLDPE−1:EXCEED(商標)4518PA;シングルサイト触媒作用により製造した4.5g/10分のメルトインデックス(ASTM D−1238)及び0.918g/ccの密度(ASTM D−1505)を有するエチレンヘキセン−1コポリマー;テキサス州ヒューストンに所在のExxon Mobilから購入。
Claims (15)
- 少なくとも1つの
i)2つの対向するパッシブ酸素バリヤー層の間に配置されているアクティブ酸素バリヤー層、または
ii)2つの対向するアクティブ酸素バリヤー層の間に配置されているパッシブ酸素バリヤー層を含む多層酸素バリヤー構成要素を含み、
前記アクティブ酸素バリヤー層は
(A)実質的に主鎖中に炭素−炭素二重結合を有する熱可塑性樹脂、
(B)遷移金属塩、及び
(C)酸素バリヤーポリマー
のブレンドである脱酸素組成物からなり、
前記多層酸素バリヤー構成要素が外側シーラント層と外側酷使層の間に配置されておりならびに、
少なくとも約0.01cc酸素/日/g−脱酸素組成物ブレンドの脱酸素速度を有している
多層アクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。 - 熱可塑性樹脂(A)は少なくとも3個のメチレンで隔てられている隣接炭素−炭素二重結合を有している請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- 熱可塑性樹脂(A)はポリブタジエン、ポリイソプレン、ポリクロロプレン及びポリオクテニレンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの樹脂である請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- 遷移金属塩(B)は鉄塩、ニッケル塩、銅塩、マンガン塩及びコバルト塩、並びにその組合せからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの金属塩である請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- 酸素バリヤーポリマー(C)はポリビニルアルコール、ポリアミド、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリアクリロニトリル、5から60モル%のエチレン含量及び約90%以上のケン化度を有するエチレン−ビニルアルコールコポリマー、及びその組合せからなる群から選択されるポリマーからなる請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- 熱可塑性樹脂(A)及び酸素バリヤーポリマー(C)の合計重量に基づいて、酸素バリヤーポリマー(C)は約70から99重量%の量で存在し、熱可塑性樹脂(A)は30から1重量%の量で存在している請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- 更に相容化剤(D)を含む請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- 熱可塑性樹脂(A)、酸素バリヤーポリマー(C)及び相容化剤(D)の全重量に基づいて、酸素バリヤーポリマー(C)は70から98.9重量%の量で存在し、熱可塑性樹脂(A)は約1から29.9重量%の量で存在し、相容化剤(D)は約0.1から29重量%の量で存在している請求項9のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- アクティブ酸素バリヤー層は対向するパッシブ酸素バリヤー層の間にサンドイッチされており、パッシブ酸素バリヤー層はエチレンビニルアルコールコポリマー、ポリアミド、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ二塩化ビニリデン、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフタレート及びコポリマー、並びにその組合せからなる群から選択されるポリマーからなる請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。
- フィルムは、
(a)エチレンビニルアルコールコポリマー、実質的に主鎖中に炭素−炭素二重結合を有する熱可塑性樹脂(A)及び遷移金属塩(B)のブレンドからなるアクティブ酸素バリヤー層;
(b)アクティブ酸素バリヤー層の反対側に配置されており、各々が1つ以上のエチレンビニルアルコールコポリマー、ポリアミド、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ二塩化ビニリデン、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフテネート及びコポリマー、並びにその組合せからなり、相対湿度65%及び20℃で500ml・20μm/(m2・日・atm)以下の酸素透過速度を有している2つのパッシブ酸素バリヤー層;及び
(c)2つの外層;
からなる請求項1のアクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルム。 - フィルムの厚さは0.5から30ミルであり、アクティブ酸素バリヤー層とパッシブ酸素バリヤー層の組合せの厚さはフィルムの全厚さの5から25%である請求項12に記載の多層フィルム。
- パッシブ酸素バリヤー層はエチレンビニルアルコールコポリマーからなる請求項12に記載の多層フィルム。
- a)食品、及び
b)食品の少なくとも一部を包むフィルム
からなるパッケージであって、前記フィルムは少なくとも1つの
i)2つの対向するパッシブ酸素バリヤー層の間に配置されているアクティブ酸素バリヤー層、または
ii)2つの対向するアクティブ酸素バリヤー層の間に配置されているパッシブ酸素バリヤー層を含む多層酸素バリヤー構成要素を含み、
前記アクティブ酸素層は
(A)実質的に主鎖中に炭素−炭素二重結合を有する熱可塑性樹脂、
(B)遷移金属塩、及び
(C)酸素バリヤーポリマー
のブレンドである脱酸素組成物からなり、
前記多層酸素バリヤー構成要素が外側シーラント層と外側酷使層の間に配置されておりならびに、
少なくとも約0.01cc酸素/日/g−脱酸素組成物ブレンドの脱酸素速度を有している多層アクティブ酸素バリヤーフィルムである
前記パッケージ。
