Abstract
Description
多孔質層に接触している補強材を真空排気し、
真空排気した補強材に液状のマトリクス材を注入し、このマトリクス材は多孔質層を通って補強材中に流入する
ことによって複合材料を形成することを含む。
多孔質層は、浸出処理中に、流体のマトリクス材を輸送する分配層として機能する(即ち、SCRIMPプロセスにおけるRDMと同様の機能を果たす)。
多孔質層は、複合材料中に組み込まれた後に、この複合材料の性質(例えば靭性、耐圧強度、及び/または弾性率)を変化させる。
成形ツールと、
熱可塑性の多孔質層と、
密閉された外被を形成するフレキシブルな真空バッグとを備え、この真空バッグは、密閉された外被を真空排気する真空ポートを有する。
Claims (28)
- 複合材料を処理する方法において、
前記複合材料に接触している多孔質層をその融点以上まで加熱することを含み、これにより、前記多孔質層が融解して前記複合材料中に組み込まれることを特徴とする複合材料の処理方法。 - さらに、
前記多孔質層に接触している補強材を真空排気し;
前記真空排気した補強材に流体状態のマトリクス材を注入し、このマトリクス材が前記多孔質層を通って前記補強材中に流入する
ことによって、前記複合材料を形成することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記補強材及び前記多孔質層を、フレキシブルな真空バッグ下で真空排気することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- さらに、
事前に含浸処理した補強材の積層を配置することによって、前記複合材料を形成することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - さらに、前記多孔質層に接触している前記複合材料を真空排気することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記複合材料及び前記多孔質層を、フレキシブルな真空バッグ下で真空排気することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- さらに、
前記多孔質層が前記複合材料中に組み込まれるのと同時に、前記複合材料を真空排気することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記複合材料が、前記多孔質層の融点を上回る硬化温度を有する熱硬化性マトリクス相を含み、前記方法がさらに、前記マトリクス相を硬化させることを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- さらに、
前記多孔質層が融解した後に前記複合材料を冷却することを含み、これにより、前記複合材料中に分散した前記多孔質層の材料が凝固して粒子のアレイになって、前記複合材料の靭性を増加させることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記多孔質層が、繊維の3次元網目構造から形成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質層を形成する材料が、ポリスルホンまたはポリエーテルスルホンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質層が、前記複合材料の外面に接触する外層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質層が、前記複合材料の内面に接触する内層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記複合材料に接触している2つ以上の分離した多孔質層を、その融点以上まで加熱することを含み、これにより、前記多孔質層が融解して前記複合材料中に組み込まれることを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記2つ以上の多孔質層が前記複合材料中で分離し、前記複合材料の外部にある1つ以上の接触点に向かって収束することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- さらに、
前記多孔質層中の間隙空間を真空排気することを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜15のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 請求項1〜16のいずれかに記載の方法によって製造した複合材料。
- 請求項1〜16のいずれかに記載の方法において使用するのに適した熱可塑性多孔質層。
- 繊維の3次元網目構造から形成される請求項18に記載の熱可塑性多孔質層。
- 前記網目構造が、織地または編地の網目構造であることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の熱可塑性多孔質層。
- 前記多孔質層を形成する材料が、ポリスルホンまたはポリエーテルスルホンを含むことを特徴とする請求項18〜20のいずれかに記載の熱可塑性多孔質層。
- 複合材料を製造するための原材料において、熱可塑性多孔質層に接触している乾燥補強材を含むことを特徴とする原材料。
- 複合材料を製造するための原材料において、1つ以上の層を含み、前記層の各々が、マトリクス材を事前に含浸させた補強材を含み、前記層の少なくとも1つが熱可塑性多孔質層に接触していることを特徴とする原材料。
- 前記熱可塑性多孔質層が、前記原材料の外層を含むことを特徴とする請求項22または23に記載の原材料。
- 前記熱可塑性多孔質層が、前記原材料の内層を含むことを特徴とする請求項22または23に記載の原材料。
- 1つ以上の接触点で互いに接触している2つ以上の多孔質層を含むことを特徴とする請求項22〜25に記載の原材料。
- 前記原材料中で互いに分離し、前記原材料の外部にある前記接触点に向かって収束する2つ以上の多孔質層を含むことを特徴とする請求項26に記載の原材料。
- 複合材料を製造する装置において、
成形ツールと;
熱可塑性多孔質層と;
密閉された外被を形成するためのフレキシブルな真空バッグとを備え、前記フレキシブルな真空バッグは、前記密閉された外被を真空排気するための真空ポートを有する
ことを特徴とする複合材料製造装置。
