Abstract
【解決手段】ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスには、ビリルビンまたはウルビリノーゲンの存在または量を示す信号を与える検出ゾーンを画定するようなクロマトグラフィー媒体(例えば多孔質メンブレン)が含まれ、また、十分な量の体液が受容されかつ検査されたか否かを示す信号を与えるコントロールゾーンも含まれ得る。一実施形態では、本発明のデバイスは吸収性物品に組み込まれ、使用者または介護者に健康状態に関する情報を迅速に与える。例えば、ビリルビン及び/またはウルビリノーゲンの存在に関する情報を提供するためにデバイスがオムツに組み込まれることがある。この情報は、使用者等が更なる検査及び/または治療を要求できるように早期警告システムを提供し得る。あるいは、検査から半定量的または定量的な結果が得られることがある。

Claims (26)
- 検査サンプル中のビリルビン及びウルビリノーゲンのうち少なくとも一方の存在または量を検出するための診断検査キットであって、
ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスを含み、該ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、
ビリルビンまたはウルビリノーゲンと反応して検出信号を生成することができる指示試薬が固定される検出ゾーンを画定するクロマトグラフィー媒体と、
前記クロマトグラフィー媒体を通過した後に前記検査サンプルを受容する吸収性材料を含むことを特徴とする診断検査キット。 - 前記指示試薬が、ジアゾニウム塩またはその誘導体であるか、あるいはエールリッヒ試薬またはその誘導体であることを特徴とする請求項1の診断検査キット。
- 前記指示試薬が、高分子部分及び反応性部分を含むことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2の診断検査キット。
- 前記高分子部分が、ポリマーまたは粒子から形成されていることを特徴とする請求項3の診断検査キット。
- 前記クロマトグラフィー媒体が、多孔質メンブレンであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれかの診断検査キット。
- 試薬ゾーン、サンプル塗布ゾーン、消光ゾーン、コントロールゾーンのうちの1つ若しくはそれ以上をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれかの診断検査キット。
- 前記検査サンプルが尿であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれかの診断検査キット。
- 前記指示試薬が優先的にビリルビンと反応して前記検出信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれかの診断検査キット。
- 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが第2の検出ゾーンをさらに含み、前記第2の検出ゾーン内には第2の指示試薬が固定され、
前記第2の指示試薬が、優先的にウルビリノーゲンと反応して第2の検出信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項8の診断検査キット。 - 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、前記第1の検出ゾーンの下流かつ前記第2の検出ゾーンの上流にある第2の試薬ゾーンをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項9の診断検査キット。
- ビリルビンまたはウルビリノーゲンを含む疑いがある体液を受容するための吸収性物品であって、
実質的に液不透過性の層と、
液透過性の層と、
前記実質的に液不透過性の層と前記液透過性の層との間に位置する吸収性コアと、
前記物品に組み込まれかつ前記物品の着用者から体液が供給されたときに該体液と流体連通するように配置されているラテラルフローアッセイデバイスとを含み、
前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、第1の検出ゾーンを画定するクロマトグラフィー媒体を含み、前記第1の検出ゾーンが、第1の指示試薬を含み、前記第1の検出ゾーンが、前記体液中のビリルビン及びウルビリノーゲンのうち少なくとも一方の存在または量を示す信号を呈するように構成されていることを特徴とする吸収性物品。 - 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、十分な量の前記体液が前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスによって受容されたかどうかを示すためのコントロールゾーンを含むことを特徴とする請求項11の吸収性物品。
- 前記吸収性物品が、前記検出ゾーン、前記コントロールゾーン、またはその両方が観察可能であるような窓を画定することを特徴とする請求項11または請求項12の吸収性物品。
- 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、前記吸収性コアの少なくとも一部分から構成されるサンプル塗布ゾーンをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11ないし請求項13のいずれかの吸収性物品。
- 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、前記実質的に液不透過性の層と前記吸収性コアとの間に位置することを特徴とする請求項11ないし請求項14のいずれかの吸収性物品。
- 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、前記液透過性の層と前記吸収性コアとの間に位置することを特徴とする請求項24ないし請求項27のいずれかの吸収性物品。
- 前記第1の指示試薬が、ジアゾニウムイオンまたはその誘導体であるか、あるいはエールリッヒ試薬またはその誘導体であることを特徴とする請求項11ないし請求項16のいずれかの吸収性物品。
- 前記第1の指示試薬が、高分子部分及び反応性部分を含むことを特徴とする請求項11ないし請求項17のいずれかの吸収性物品。
- 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、拡散的に固定された酸性緩衝液をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項11ないし請求項18のいずれかの吸収性物品。
- 前記ラテラルフローデバイスが、第2の検出ゾーンをさらに含み、前記第2の検出ゾーンが第2の指示試薬を含み、
前記検出ゾーンが、前記体液中のビリルビンの存在または量を示す信号を呈するように構成され、
前記第2の検出ゾーンが、前記体液中のウルビリノーゲンの存在または量を示す信号を呈するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項11ないし請求項19のいずれかの吸収性物品。 - 前記吸収性物品がオムツであることを特徴とする請求項11ないし請求項20のいずれかの吸収性物品。
- 体液中のビリルビン及びウルビリノーゲンのうち少なくとも一方の存在または量を検出する方法であって、
ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスを提供するステップを含み、前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスが、第1の検出ゾーンを画定するクロマトグラフィー媒体を含み、前記第1の検出ゾーンが、該第1の検出ゾーン内に固定された第1の指示試薬を含み、前記第1の検出ゾーンが、前記体液中のビリルビンまたはウルビリノーゲンの存在または量を示す視覚的な検出信号を与えるように構成されており、
前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスを前記体液と接触させるステップと、
前記検出ゾーンに前記視覚的な検出信号が見られるかどうかを観察するステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記視覚的な検出信号が観察された後に、前記ビリルビンまたはウルビリノーゲンを定量的または半定量的に検査するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項22の方法。
- 前記体液が尿であることを特徴とする請求項22または請求項23の方法。
- 前記ラテラルフローアッセイデバイスがコントロールゾーンを含み、前記コントロールゾーンが、十分な量の前記体液が受容されたか否かを示す視覚的な制御信号を与えるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項22ないし請求項24のいずれかの方法。
- 前記体液を酸性緩衝液と混合するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項22ないし請求項25のいずれかの方法。
