Claims (21)
- 液晶ディスプレイバックライトであって、:
バックライトによって生成される白色光に青色光を寄与させるように動作可能である、少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオード;
青色光の一部を吸収し、バックライトによって生成される白色光に寄与する緑色光を放出する、蛍光体材料;および
バックライトによって生成される白色光に赤色光を寄与させるように動作可能である、少なくとも一つの赤色光放出ダイオード
を含む、液晶ディスプレイバックライト。 - 青色光放出ダイオードと赤色光放出ダイオードとの比率が実質的に2対1である、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 蛍光体材料が少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオードの光放出表面上にオーバーコートされている、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 蛍光体材料が少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオードと合わせてマトリクスに組み込まれている、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 二つの青色光放出ダイオードおよび一つの赤色光放出ダイオードが個々のパッケージ内に含有されている、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 源の各光放出ダイオードが個々にパッケージングされている、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオードの二つが個々のパッケージ内に含有され、少なくとも一つの赤色光放出ダイオードの一つが個々のパッケージ内に含有されている、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオードが約20mA〜350mAの範囲にわたる電力レベルで動作する、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 少なくとも一つの赤色光放出ダイオードが約20mA〜350mAの範囲にわたる電力レベルで動作する、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 蛍光体材料が:シリケート系緑色蛍光体;アルミネート系緑色蛍光体;窒化物系緑色蛍光体;硫酸塩系緑色蛍光体;オキシ窒化物系緑色蛍光体;オキシ硫酸塩系緑色蛍光体;ガーネット材料;Siがケイ素であり、Oが酸素であり、Aがストロンチウム(Sr)、バリウム(Ba)、マグネシウム(Mg)またはカルシウム(Ca)を含み、Dが塩素(Cl)、フッ素(F)、窒素(N)または硫黄(S)を含む、一般組成A3Si(OD)5のシリケート系緑色蛍光体;AがSr、Ba、MgまたはCaを含み、DがCl、F、NまたはSを含む、一般組成A2Si(OD)4のシリケート系緑色蛍光体;およびMがBa、Sr、Ca、Mg、Mn、Zn、Cu、Cd、Smまたはツリウム(Tm)を含む二価金属の少なくとも一つである、式M1−XEuxAlyO[1+3y/2]のアルミネート系緑色蛍光体からなる群から選択される、請求項1記載のバックライト。
- 請求項1記載のバックライトを組み入れた、カラー液晶ディスプレイ。
- 液晶ディスプレイバックライトであって、:
バックライトによって生成される白色光に青色光を寄与させるための少なくとも一つの青色LED;
青色光の一部を吸収し、バックライトによって生成される白色光に寄与する緑色光を放出する、第一の蛍光体材料;および
青色光の一部を吸収し、バックライトによって生成される白色光に寄与する赤色光を放出する、第二の蛍光体材料
を含む、液晶ディスプレイバックライト。 - 少なくとも一つの青色LEDが約20mA〜350mAの範囲にわたる電力レベルで動作する、請求項12記載のバックライト。
- 蛍光体材料が:シリケート系蛍光体;アルミネート系蛍光体;窒化物系蛍光体;硫酸塩系蛍光体;オキシ窒化物系蛍光体;オキシ硫酸塩系蛍光体;ガーネット材料;Siがケイ素であり、Oが酸素であり、Aがストロンチウム(Sr)、バリウム(Ba)、マグネシウム(Mg)またはカルシウム(Ca)を含み、Dが塩素(Cl)、フッ素(F)、窒素(N)または硫黄(S)を含む、一般組成A3Si(OD)5のシリケート系蛍光体;AがSr、Ba、MgまたはCaを含み、DがCl、F、NまたはSを含む、一般組成A2Si(OD)4のシリケート系蛍光体;MがBa、Sr、Ca、Mg、Mn、Zn、Cu、Cd、Smまたはツリウム(Tm)を含む二価金属の少なくとも一つである、式M1−xEuxAlyO[1+3y/2]のアルミネート系蛍光体からなる群から選択される、請求項12記載のバックライト。
- 請求項12記載のバックライトを組み入れた、カラー液晶ディスプレイ。
- 白色光源であって、:
源によって生成される白色光に青色光を寄与させるように動作可能である、少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオード;
青色光の一部を吸収し、源によって生成される白色光に寄与する緑色光を放出する、蛍光体材料;および
源によって生成される白色光に赤色光を寄与させるように動作可能である、少なくとも一つの赤色光放出ダイオード
を含む、白色光源。 - 青色光放出ダイオードと赤色光放出ダイオードとの比率が実質的に2対1である、請求項16記載の光源。
- 蛍光体材料が少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオードの光放出表面上にオーバーコートされている、請求項16記載の光源。
- 蛍光体材料が少なくとも一つの青色光放出ダイオードと合わせてマトリクスに組み込まれている、請求項16記載の光源。
- 二つの青色光放出ダイオードおよび一つの赤色光放出ダイオードが個々のパッケージに含有されている、請求項16記載の光源。
