Abstract
【解決手段】電池温度が相対的に高い場合、電池温度が相対的に低い場合と比較して、充電器2の充電制御回路19が定電流充電から定電圧充電に切り換える電圧(充電電圧)が低くなるから、過充電による電池寿命の短縮を防ぐことができる。しかも、電池温度が相対的に低い場合は充電電圧を高くすることにより、電池温度が高い場合と比較して二次電池4A〜4Dの容量を多くすることができる。故に、制御回路7が測温素子Thの検出温度に応じて二次電池4A〜4Dの検出電圧と比較する所定値を変化させるので、電池温度に応じて充電電圧が調整されることとなり、その結果、二次電池4A〜4Dの容量をできるだけ多くしながら電池寿命の短縮を防ぐことができる。

Claims (5)
- 充電器に着脱自在に装着され、充電器によって充電される電池パックであって、複数の二次電池を接続してなる組電池と、組電池の正極並びに負極とそれぞれ接続される一対の電源端子と、前記二次電池の両端電圧を個別に検出し該検出電圧が所定値よりも高いときに充電器に対して充電制御信号を出力する制御回路と、前記充電制御信号を充電器に対して出力する信号端子と、前記組電池の温度を検出する測温素子とを備え、前記制御回路は、前記測温素子の検出温度に応じて前記検出電圧と比較する前記所定値を変化させることを特徴とする電池パック。
- 前記測温素子は温度に応じて抵抗値が変化するサーミスタからなり、充電器と接続される一対の測温用信号端子間に接続され、
前記測温用信号端子の一方が信号用のグランドに接続され、制御回路のグランドが組電池のグランドと接続されるとともに、信号用のグランドと組電池のグランドが分離されてなり、
前記一方の測温用信号端子は絶縁回路を介して制御回路と接続されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電池パック。 - 前記絶縁回路は、測温素子を含む抵抗ブリッジ回路と、抵抗ブリッジ回路で計測される測温素子の抵抗値を所定のしきい値と比較する比較器とからなり、
前記制御回路は、前記比較器の比較結果に応じて前記検出電圧と比較する前記所定値を変化させることを特徴とする請求項2記載の電池パック。 - 前記制御回路は、前記二次電池の両端電圧を個別に検出し該検出電圧が第1の所定値よりも高いときに充電制御信号を出力する第1の制御回路と、前記二次電池の両端電圧を個別に検出し該検出電圧が第1の所定値と異なる第2の所定値よりも高いときに充電制御信号を出力する第2の制御回路と、第1の制御回路が出力する充電制御信号と第2の制御回路が出力する充電制御信号とを比較器の出力に応じて択一的に選択して充電器に対して出力する選択回路とからなることを特徴とする請求項3記載の電池パック。
- アノードが前記組電池のグランドに接続されるともとにカソードが前記測温用信号端子に接続された複数のダイオードを備えたことを特徴とする請求項2〜4の何れか1項に記載の電池パック。
