Abstract
【解決手段】本パイプの接合方法は、端部外周面に内周面側に没する少なくとも一つの被嵌合部1bが設けられた第一のパイプ1の端部を熱可塑性樹脂からなる第二のパイプ2の端部に挿入する第一の工程と、挿入された第一のパイプ1の被嵌合部1bと対応する位置で、第二のパイプ2の外周面側に超音波を伝達させる伝達部材を押圧させることで、第二のパイプ2を超音波により軟化させて嵌合部2bとして内周面側に位置する被嵌合部1bに突出させ嵌合させる第二の工程とを備える。

Description
一方、特許文献2の構造では、特許文献1の方法で接合されたものと比較して軸方向の引き抜きに対する強度を向上させることができるものの、必要な強度を得るためには、一方の突起と、他方の窪みとについて、ガタが生じないような寸法精度が要求されることとなり、製造コストが高くなってしまう問題があった。
本発明は、端部外周面に内周面側に没する少なくとも一つの被嵌合部が設けられた第一のパイプの前記端部を熱可塑性樹脂からなる第二のパイプの端部に挿入する第一の工程と、挿入された前記第一のパイプの前記被嵌合部と対応する位置で、前記第二のパイプの外周面側に超音波を伝達させる伝達部材を押圧させることで、該第二のパイプを超音波により軟化させて嵌合部として内周面側に位置する前記被嵌合部に突出させ嵌合させる第二の工程とを備えることを特徴としている。
また、本発明のパイプの接合構造によれば、第一のパイプの被嵌合部に第二のパイプの嵌合部が嵌合されていることで、必要な強度を確保して確実に接合することができるとともに、第二のパイプが熱可塑性樹脂であることで、嵌合部を容易に形成して接合することができ、確実に接合された状態を安価で実現することができる。
本発明に係る第1の実施形態について、図1から図8を参照して説明する。図1から図3は、本発明の接合構造によって接合された第一のパイプと第二のパイプとを示している。図1から図3に示すように、本実施形態の接続構造10は、第一のパイプ1と、第二のパイプ2とを接合させるものである。第一のパイプ1は、断面略円形で、端部1aが第二のパイプ2に挿入され接続されるものであり、その端部1aには被嵌合部となる貫通孔1bが形成されている。貫通孔1bは、本実施形態においては二つ、対向する位置に設けられている。各貫通孔1bは、略矩形に形成されている。
次に、本発明の第2の実施形態について説明する。図13から図18は、本発明の第2の実施形態を示したものである。この実施形態において、前述した実施形態で用いた部材と共通の部材には同一の符号を付して、その説明を省略する。

Claims (7)
- 端部外周面に内周面側に没する少なくとも一つの被嵌合部が設けられた第一のパイプの前記端部を熱可塑性樹脂からなる第二のパイプの端部に挿入する第一の工程と、
挿入された前記第一のパイプの前記被嵌合部と対応する位置で、前記第二のパイプの外周面側に超音波を伝達させる伝達部材を押圧させることで、該第二のパイプを超音波により軟化させて嵌合部として内周面側に位置する前記被嵌合部に突出させ嵌合させる第二の工程とを備えることを特徴とするパイプの接合方法。 - 請求項1に記載のパイプの接合方法において、
前記第二のパイプを、端部外周面に前記第一のパイプの前記被嵌合部と対応する少なくとも一つの凸部が形成されているものとし、
前記第二の工程では、該凸部を前記伝達部材で押圧することで前記嵌合部を形成することを特徴とするパイプの接合方法。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載のパイプの接合方法において、
前記第一のパイプの前記被嵌合部を、外周面から内周面まで貫通する貫通孔とし、
前記第二の工程では、前記第一のパイプの内部に、少なくとも前記被嵌合部が形成された範囲で内周面と離間した状態で成形用治具を配置させた後に、前記第二のパイプに前記伝達部材を押圧させて、前記成形用治具上で変形するまで前記第二のパイプの一部を前記嵌合部として内周面側に突出させることを特徴とするパイプの接合方法。 - 第一のパイプの端部を、熱可塑性樹脂からなる第二のパイプに挿入して互いを接合させたパイプの接合構造であって、
前記第一のパイプの前記端部外周面に設けられ、内周面側に没する少なくとも一つの被嵌合部と、
前記第二のパイプの一部が内周面側に突出して形成され、該被嵌合部に嵌合した嵌合部とを備えることを特徴とするパイプの接合構造。 - 請求項4に記載のパイプの接合構造において、
前記嵌合部は、前記第二のパイプが超音波によって軟化して変形することで形成されていることを特徴とするパイプの接合構造。 - 請求項5に記載のパイプの接合構造において、
前記嵌合部は、超音波が与えられる前に前記第二のパイプの外周面側に突出した凸部に超音波を伝達させて内周面側に突出させたものであることを特徴とするパイプの接合構造。 - 請求項4から請求項6のいずれかに記載のパイプの接合構造において、
前記被嵌合部は、前記第一のパイプの外周面側から内周面側まで貫通する貫通孔であり、
前記嵌合部は、先端が前記第一のパイプの内周面側まで突出して該貫通孔の幅よりも大きく拡幅するように形成されていることを特徴とするパイプの接合構造。
