Description
本発明は、第一の部材と第二の部材との二つの部材同士を所定の相対位置で互いに重ね合った状態で位置決めして固定するための部材同士の固定方法であって、前記第一の部材には前記第二の部材と当接する当接面から反対側の面に向かって没する被嵌合部が少なくとも二つ形成されているものとし、また、前記第二の部材は、熱可塑性樹脂からなるとともに、前記第一の部材と当接する当接面と反対側の面に突出する凸部が前記第一の部材の前記被嵌合部と対応して少なくとも二つ設けられているものとし、前記第一の部材と前記第二の部材との当接面同士を当接させ、前記被嵌合部と前記凸部との位置合わせを行う第一の工程と、前記第二の部材の前記凸部に、超音波を伝達させる伝達部材を押圧して、該伝達部材が前記第二の部材の前記当接面と反対側の面に当接するまでの間のみ前記伝達部材から前記凸部に超音波を伝達するとともに前記凸部を押圧することで、前記凸部に対向する前記第二の部材を超音波により軟化させて前記凸部の少なくとも一部を前記第二の部材に没せしめ、前記凸部に対向する第二の部材を前記被嵌合部の内部に押し出すことにより前記第二の部材の前記当接面よりも突出する嵌合部を形成して、前記第一の部材の前記被嵌合部に嵌合させる第二の工程とを備えることを特徴としている。
本発明に係る第1の実施形態について、図1から図7を参照して説明する。図1は、本実施形態の固定方法によって位置決め固定される第一の部材1と第二の部材2とを示している。第一の部材1は、第二の部材2と当接する当接面1aが略平面に形成された略板状の部材で、被嵌合部である貫通孔1bが、当接面1aから反対側の面1cまで貫通している。本実施形態では貫通孔1bは、断面略円形であり、二箇所に形成されている。また、第二の部材2は、第一の部材1と当接する当接面2aが略平面に形成された略板状の部材で、当接面2aと反対側の面2bには、リブ2cが設けられているとともに、突出して形成された凸部2dが二箇所に設けられている。凸部2dは、略円柱状に形成されており、後述するように第一の部材1と第二の部材2との相対的な位置関係を所定の固定位置とした場合に、第一の部材1の貫通孔1bと同軸となるように設けられており、貫通孔1bの内径と略等しい外径を有している。また、凸部2dの突出する高さは、後述する嵌合部2eの突出量と略等しくなるように設定されている。
より具体的な第一の部材1及び第二の部材2の各寸法を一例として示すと、例えば、第一の部材1は、厚さ10mmであり、貫通孔1bの内径は3.05mmに設定されている。また、第二の部材2は、厚さ0.4mmであり、凸部2dが直径3mm、高さ0.6mmで形成されている。
図2に示すように、第一の部材1を図示しない固定台上に固定するとともに、第二の部材2を図示しない治具にセットする。そして、第一の工程として、図示しない治具が接続された図示しない位置制御装置により、該治具にセットされた第二の部材2の当接面2aを第一の部材1の当接面1aに当接させる。ここで、第一の部材1の当接面1aには、貫通孔1bが開口しているのみであり、突出する部位を有していない。また、第二の部材2も同様で、凸部2d及びリブ2cは当接面2aと反対側の面2bに突出するものであり、当接面2aには、突出する部位を有していない。このため、第一の部材1及び第二の部材2を破損してしまうおそれ無く、互いの当接面1a、2aを当接して第一の部材1と第二の部材2とを重ね合わせることができる。
次に、本発明の第2の実施形態について説明する。図8から図15は、本発明の第2の実施形態を示したものである。この実施形態において、前述した実施形態で用いた部材と共通の部材には同一の符号を付して、その説明を省略する。
まず、図9及び図10に示すように、第一の工程として、箱体20の上部に蓋体21を嵌め込んで、開口部20aを閉塞させる。この状態で、蓋体21の当接面となる縁板25の内面25aが、箱体20の当接面となる外面23bと当接されることとなり、また、蓋体21の各凸部25bは、箱体20の各貫通孔23aと同軸となるように位置合わせされた状態となる。

Claims (2)
- 第一の部材と第二の部材との二つの部材同士を所定の相対位置で互いに重ね合った状態で位置決めして固定するための部材同士の固定方法であって、
前記第一の部材には前記第二の部材と当接する当接面から反対側の面に向かって没する被嵌合部が少なくとも二つ形成されているものとし、また、前記第二の部材は、熱可塑性樹脂からなるとともに、前記第一の部材と当接する当接面と反対側の面に突出する凸部が前記第一の部材の前記被嵌合部と対応して少なくとも二つ設けられているものとし、
前記第一の部材と前記第二の部材との当接面同士を当接させ、前記被嵌合部と前記凸部との位置合わせを行う第一の工程と、
前記第二の部材の前記凸部に、超音波を伝達させる伝達部材を押圧して、該伝達部材が前記第二の部材の前記当接面と反対側の面に当接するまでの間のみ前記伝達部材から前記凸部に超音波を伝達するとともに前記凸部を押圧することで、前記凸部に対向する前記第二の部材を超音波により軟化させて前記凸部の少なくとも一部を前記第二の部材に没せしめ、前記凸部に対向する第二の部材を前記被嵌合部の内部に押し出すことにより前記第二の部材の前記当接面よりも突出する嵌合部を形成して、前記第一の部材の前記被嵌合部に嵌合させる第二の工程とを備えることを特徴とする部材同士の固定方法。 - 請求項1に記載の部材同士の固定方法において、
前記第二の工程では、前記伝達部材が前記第二の部材の前記当接面と反対側の面に当接するまで超音波を伝達させながら前記凸部を押圧し、前記伝達部材が前記第二の部材の前記当接面と反対側の面に当接したら、超音波の発振および押圧を停止することを特徴とする部材同士の固定方法。
