Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の定着器部材は、基材と、前記基材上に配置された弾性層と、前記弾性層上に配置された中間層であって、ポリマーマトリックス中に分散された複数のカーボンナノチューブを含む中間層と、前記中間層上に配置された表面層と、を含む。

Description
従来の定着器ロールのシリコーンゴム層上に複合体分散体をフローコーティングすることによって、中間層を調製した。複合体分散体は、レットダウンプロセスからのCNT/Viton複合体、MgOの金属酸化物、VC−50のビスフェノール硬化剤(E.I.du Pont de Nemours,Inc.から入手可能なViton(登録商標)Curative No.50)、および任意選択で界面活性剤をメチルイソブチルケトン(MIBK)の有機溶媒に溶かしたものを含んでいた。
この実施例では、定着器ロールのシリコーン層の最上面に、実施例1のレットダウンCNT/Viton複合体、MgOの金属酸化物、AO700のアミノ−シラン硬化剤、および任意選択で界面活性剤をMIBK有機溶媒に溶かしたものを含有する複合体分散体をフローコーティングすることによって、中間コートを調製した。
PFAトップコートは、表面層として使用され、実施例1〜2で形成された中間層の最上面にPFA水性分散体を噴霧コーティングし、その後、約350℃の高温で10分間ベークすることによって調製した。
PFAトップコートは、やはり表面層として使用され、実施例1〜2で形成された中間層の最上面にPFA水性分散体を粉末コーティングし、その後、約350℃の高温で10分間ベークすることによって調製した。
定着器部材は、従来の定着器部材のシリコーンゴム層の最上面に、実施例1〜2のCNT/Viton複合体分散体をフローコーティングすることによって製作した。コーティングされたCNT/Viton複合体分散体を、約49℃から約177℃の温度で2時間、手短に乾燥した。次いでPFA層を、実施例3〜4の噴霧または粉末コーティング技法を使用して、乾燥した複合体分散体の最上面にコーティングし、その後、約204℃の高温で2時間、次いで約232℃で6時間、次いで約350℃で10分間ベークして、中間複合体のさらなる硬化とPFA表面層のベークとを行うことにより、定着器部材を形成した。
Claims (4)
- 基材と、
前記基材上に配置された弾性層と、
前記弾性層上に配置された中間層であって、ポリマーマトリックス中に分散された複数のカーボンナノチューブを含む中間層と、
前記中間層上に配置された表面層と
を含むことを特徴とする定着器部材。 - 請求項1に記載の部材であって、前記複数のカーボンナノチューブが、前記中間層の約0.01重量%から約20重量%の量で存在し、前記中間層のポリマーマトリックスが、シリコーンエラストマー、フルオロポリマー、ポリパーフルオロエーテル、フッ素化ポリエーテル、フッ素化ポリイミド、フッ素化ポリエーテルケトン、フッ素化ポリアミド、またはフッ素化ポリエステルからなる群から選択された1種以上のポリマーを含むことを特徴とする部材。
- 複数のカーボンナノチューブおよびポリマーを含む複合体分散体を形成するステップと、
前記複合体分散体を弾性層上に堆積し硬化して、中間層を形成するステップであって、前記弾性層が基材上に形成されているステップと、
前記中間層に第2の分散体を付着させるステップと、
前記付着された第2の分散体を、約250℃以上の温度で処理して、前記中間層上に表面層を形成するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする部材を作製するための方法。 - 複数のカーボンナノチューブおよびポリマーを含む複合体分散体を形成するステップと、
前記複合体分散体を弾性層上に堆積するステップであって、前記弾性層が基材上に形成されているステップと、
前記堆積された複合体分散体に第2の分散体を付着させるステップと、
前記堆積された複合体分散体上の前記付着された第2の分散体を、約250℃以上の温度で処理して、前記弾性層上に中間層を形成し、前記形成された中間層上に表面層を形成するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする部材を作製するための方法。
