Abstract
【解決手段】エラストマーポリマー122と、エラストマーポリマー122に混合された複数のフッ素化ダイヤモンド含有粒子125とを含むコーティング組成物であり、複数のフッ素化ダイヤモンド含有粒子125の各粒子がダイヤモンドコアの上に化学的に活性なシェル層を有し、該シェル層がフッ素を含む。

Description
種々の実施形態において、ロール基材110と最外層120との間に1つ又はそれ以上の機能層を配置することができる。例えば、最外層120は、ロール基材110の上に形成された弾性層の上に形成することができる。別の例において、弾性層と最外層120との間に界面層をさらに配置することができる。
有効な溶媒は、水、又はメチルイソブチルケトン(MIBK)、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン(MEK)及びそれらの混合物を含むがそれらに限定されない有機溶媒を含むことができる。適切な分散体を形成することができる他の溶媒は、本明細書における実施形態の範囲内であり得る。
コーティング組成物を、フッ素化ナノダイヤモンド粒子(NB90−F、フロリダ州Boca RatonのNanoblox,Inc.から入手可能な90パーセントのsp3炭素及び10パーセントのフッ素化sp2炭素)とVITON(登録商標)GFとを、有機溶媒であるメチルイソブチルケトン(MIBK)中で2mmのステンレス・ショットを用いて200rpmで18時間ミリングすることによって調製した。コーティング組成物は、約10重量パーセントのフッ素化ナノダイヤモンド粒子NB90−F及び89重量パーセントのVITON(登録商標)GF、並びに1重量パーセントのビスフェノール硬化剤VC−50(デラウェア州WilmingtonのE.I.Du Pont de Nemours,Inc.から入手可能なVITON(登録商標)Curative No.50)を含んでいた。
コーティング組成物の被覆プロセスに続いて、硬化プロセスを、約49℃で約2時間、及び約177℃で約2時間、次に、約204℃で約2時間、次に後硬化のために約232℃で約6時間の傾斜温度にて行った。その結果として、厚さ20μmの複合膜が得られた。
表面抵抗率は、約23℃の温度にて、約65パーセントの湿度で測定した。形成された複合材料の種々のスポットにて、高抵抗率計(Hiresta−Up MCP−HT450、三菱化学株式会社、日本)を用いて、4回から6回の測定を行った。平均された結果を表1に示す。

Claims (4)
- エラストマーポリマーと、
前記エラストマーポリマーに混合された複数のフッ素化ダイヤモンド含有粒子とを含み、前記複数のフッ素化ダイヤモンド含有粒子の各粒子がダイヤモンドコアの上に化学的に活性なシェル層を含み、前記化学的に活性なシェル層がフッ素を含むことを特徴とするコーティング組成物。 - 前記化学的に活性なシェル層が、−CH3、−OH、−COOH、−NH2、−SO3H、アルキル及びそれらの組合せから成る群より選択される官能基を含み、
前記化学的に活性なシェル層がsp2カーボンブラックを含み、前記ダイヤモンドコアがsp3ダイヤモンドを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。 - ロール基材と、
前記基材上に配置された最外層とを含み、前記最外層がフッ素エラストマーマトリックス中に分散された複数のフッ素化ナノダイヤモンド含有粒子を含み、前記複数のナノダイヤモンド含有粒子の各粒子が、化学的に不活性なダイヤモンドコアの上に、フッ素化された化学的に活性なシェル層を含むことを特徴とする、定着器部材。 - 定着器部材を作成する方法であって、
ロール基材を提供し、
有機溶媒中にエラストマーポリマーと複数のフッ素化ダイヤモンド含有粒子とを含むコーティング組成物を形成し、前記複数のフッ素化ダイヤモンド含有粒子の各粒子が、ダイヤモンドコア上に化学的に活性なシェル層を含み、前記化学的に活性なシェル層がフッ素を含んでおり、
前記コーティング組成物を前記ロール基材に塗工して、前記定着器部材の最外層を形成する
ステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。
