1.〜4.実施の形態(記録マークRMの形成)

[1.光ディスクの構成]
まず、第1の実施の形態における情報の記録及び再生に関する原理について説明する。本実施の形態では、光ディスク100の記録層101に空洞でなる記録マークRMを形成するようになされている。
次に、記録層101を構成する光反応樹脂の具体的な構成について説明する。
[3−1.サンプルの作製]
多光子吸収材料として、非晶ポリアリレート樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、ポリエーテルスルフォン樹脂、PMMA(Polymethylmethacrylate)樹脂、ポリシクロオレフィン樹脂を準備した。非晶ポリアリレート樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、ポリエーテルスルフォン樹脂、PMMA樹脂の化学構造を一般式(5)〜一般式(8)にそれぞれ示している。
[3−2−1.記録マークRMの形成]
図21において光ディスク装置5は、全体として光ディスク100における記録層101に対して光を照射することにより、記録層101において想定される複数のマーク層Yに情報を記録し、また当該情報を再生するようになされている。このマーク層Yは、記録マークRMが配列されることによって形成されるものであり、記録マークRMが形成される前段階においては、仮想に存在するものである。
次に、非晶ポリアリレート樹脂及びポリカーボネート樹脂を用いたサンプルS1及びS3について、光強度と最短で記録マークRMを形成し得る記録時間との関係を測定した。

回転させたサンプルS1に対し、開口数NA=0.85の対物レンズ13を介して波長が405[nm]でなる記録情報光ビームLMwを表面深さf=50[μm]、100[μm]、150[μm]の位置に照射し、記録マークRMを形成した。この回転による線速度は、0.23[m/sec]であった。
以上の構成によれば、本発明の光情報記録媒体としての光ディスク100の記録層101は、記録用の光である記録情報光ビームLMwに応じて空洞でなる記録マークRMを形成する。記録層101は、一般式(1)で表される骨格を有する化合物(ただし、R1、R2、R3及びR4は水素原子又は置換基)を含有する。
[5.他の実施の形態]
なお上述した実施の形態においては、光ディスク100が基準層102を有するようにした場合について述べた。本発明はこれに限らず、必ずしも基準層102を有する必要はない。この場合、例えば記録層101内にサーボマークなどを形成しておき、光情報記録再生装置が当該サーボマークを検出することにより、目標位置PGを決定することができる。

請求項2に記載の光情報記録媒体。 - 記録用の光に応じて空洞でなる記録マークを形成し、光強度のM乗(ただし、M≧2.9)に反比例して、最短で記録マークを形成し得る記録時間が低下する記録層

請求項6に記載の光情報記録媒体。 - 記録用の光に応じて空洞でなる記録マークを形成し、多光子吸収反応を生じる多光子吸収材料を主成分とする記録層
