Abstract
【解決手段】蛍光有機ナノ粒子であって、1種または複数の架橋ポリマ樹脂を含むポリママトリックスと、ポリママトリックスの中に組み込まれた1種または複数の蛍光染料と、を含み、蛍光有機ナノ粒子が、500nm未満の粒径を有する、蛍光有機ナノ粒子である。

Description
190グラムの非晶質プロポキシル化ビスフェノールAフマレート樹脂(Mw=12,500、Tg開始点=56.9℃、酸価=16.7;ライヒホールド・ケミカルズ・インコーポレーテッド(Reichhold Chemicals,Inc.)からのスパー(SPAR)樹脂、レザーナ・S.A.(Resana S.A.)からのレザポール(RESAPOL)HT樹脂として入手可能)を、10グラム(g)のDFKY−C7(リスク・リアクター(Risk Reacor))蛍光染料と共に、1Lのケトルに量り込んだ。100gのメチルエチルケトンと40gのイソプロパノールを別途に秤量し、ビーカの中で合わせて混合した。それらの溶媒を、樹脂を入れた1Lのケトルの中に注ぎ込んだ。ガスケット上のカバー、凝縮器および2個のゴム栓と取り付けたそのケトルを、48℃に設定した水浴の中に1時間入れておいた。錨形ブレード撹拌機をケトルの中に取付け、約150RPMで回転させた。3時間後、全部の樹脂が溶解したら、8.69gの10%NH4OHを、ゴム栓を通した使い捨てのピペットを用いて、その混合物に滴下により加えた。その混合物を10分間撹拌させておいた。次いで、8.0gのバゾ(Vazo)52熱重合開始剤をその混合物に添加し、混合物を48℃でさらに10分間撹拌した。次いでゴム栓を通して、600gの脱イオン水をケトルの中にポンプ注入した。最初の400gは、4.44g/分の速度に設定したポンプを使用して、90分かけて添加した。残りの200gは、6.7g/分に設定したポンプを使用して30分かけて添加した。その装置を分解して、混合物をガラスパンの中に注ぎ込み、それをドラフトの中に一夜保持して、マグネチックスターラで撹拌して溶媒が蒸発除去できるようにした。ブラックライトをあてると、そのラテックスは赤色光を発した。ナイコンプ・パーティクル・アナライザにより測定した粒径は、170nmであった。このラテックス溶液を「ラテックスA」と名付けた。
上述のラテックス溶液、すなわちラテックスAを1Lの3口丸底フラスコの中に仕込み、窒素ガスを用いて1時間パージした。次いでその混合物を200RPMで撹拌し、80℃に加熱して、その温度で5時間保持した。この温度では、バゾ(Vazo)52重合開始剤がラジカルを発生し、それが、プロポキシル化ビスフェノールAフマレート樹脂の二重結合の間の架橋反応を開始させた。次いでそのラテックスを冷却し、凍結乾燥させると乾燥した粒子が得られた。ブラックライトをあてると、そのラテックスは赤色光を発した。架橋反応の後での粒径は145nmであった。これらの粒子を「実施例1」と名付けた。
実施例1は、トルエンおよびアセトン溶媒中に満足のいくレベルで分散して、実質的に無色の溶液を与えた。ブラックライトをあてると、実施例1は赤色光を発した。溶媒中に溶解させたそのままの蛍光染料、または非架橋蛍光粒子を含む溶媒中に比較して、その架橋粒子の発する色がシフトしていた。それらの粒子は、より極性の強い溶媒、たとえばエタノールおよびイソプロパノールの中では、分散不能であった。
50mgの実施例1の蛍光XL粒子を溶媒としての5mLのキシレンに分散させることによって、印刷組成物を調製した。これからは、透明なインキが得られた。そのインキを、実験用のインクジェットプリンタ(ダイマティックス(Dimatix))を使用して印刷した。印刷した画像は、ブラックライトの下では鮮明に見ることができた。テキスト印刷は、室内光や屋外条件下においては肉眼では見えなかった。
Claims (2)
- 蛍光有機ナノ粒子であって、
1種または複数の架橋ポリマ樹脂を含むポリママトリックスと、
前記ポリママトリックスの中に組み込まれた1種または複数の蛍光染料と、
を含み、
前記蛍光有機ナノ粒子が、500nm未満の粒径を有する、蛍光有機ナノ粒子。 - 蛍光有機ナノ粒子を調製するためのプロセスであって、
1種または複数のポリマ樹脂を含むポリマラテックスまたはエマルションを調製する工程と、
前記ポリマラテックスまたはエマルションの中に1種または複数の蛍光染料を組み込む工程と、
前記1種または複数のポリマ樹脂を架橋させて、1種または複数の架橋ポリマ樹脂を含むポリママトリックスと、前記ポリママトリックスの中に組み込まれた1種または複数の蛍光染料とを含み、500nm未満の粒径を有する蛍光有機ナノ粒子を製造する工程と、
を含む、蛍光有機ナノ粒子を調製するためのプロセス。
