Abstract
Description
本発明の態様は、一般に、無人機を無線制御し、関連する偵察データおよび監視データにアクセスするためのシステムおよび方法を対象とする。一実施形態では、無線通信ネットワーク(例えば、既存の携帯電話ネットワーク)は、ハンドヘルドデバイス(携帯電話またはPDA)とともに使用され、場合によっては、他のサポート技術とともに使用され、これにより、コマンドおよび制御データを1つまたは複数のUAVに伝達し、および/またはUAVから送信される信号およびデータを監視する。例えば、これは、1つまたは複数のUAVの離陸および/または着陸を制御すること、1つまたは複数のUAVの武器システムを制御する1つまたは複数のUAVの空中操縦を制御すること、1つまたは複数のUAVから任務偵察情報を受信すること(国境偵察情報、移動体または静止体などの追跡などを含む)、UAVの調子および/または状態の監視に関する情報を受信すること、および1つまたは複数のUAVの領域内の他の飛行機を監視することなどを含むことができる。このようにして、特別注文の直接通信システムを設計し、構築することなく、また高価で複雑な衛星システムに依存することなく、長距離通信を行うことができる。
図1〜図4および以下の説明は、本発明のいくつかの態様を実施できる好適な環境について簡潔に述べた概要説明である。本発明のいくつかの態様は、磁気的または光学的可読コンピュータディスクを含む、コンピュータ可読媒体上で、半導体メモリ、ナノテクノロジーメモリ、有機または光メモリ、あるいは他の携帯型データ記憶媒体上のマイクロコードとして、格納されるか、または配布されうる。実際、本発明のいくつかの態様によるコンピュータ実装命令、データ構造体、画面表示、および他のデータは、一定期間にわたって伝搬媒体(例えば、電磁波、音波など)を介した伝搬信号に載せてインターネット越しに、または他のネットワーク(無線ネットワークを含む)越しに、またはアナログまたはデジタルネットワーク(パケット交換、回線交換、または他の方式)上で、配布することができる。

Claims (53)
- 無人機(UAV)を制御する方法であって、
無線デバイスを使用して制御メッセージを前記UAVの受信機に送信するステップであって、前記無線デバイスは、もっぱら携帯電話通信用に構成されている無線ネットワークを介して受信機と通信するステップと、
前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVの送信機からの通信を受信するステップであって、前記無線デバイスは、前記無線ネットワークを介して前記送信機から前記通信を受信するステップと
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記制御メッセージを送信するステップは、前記UAVの偵察活動を制御する命令を含むメッセージを送信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御メッセージを送信するステップは、前記UAVの速度および方向を制御する命令を含むメッセージを送信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御メッセージを送信するステップは、前記UAV上の兵器システムの活動を制御する命令を含むメッセージを送信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御メッセージを送信するステップは、前記UAVの離陸および/または着陸を制御する命令を含むメッセージを送信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線デバイスと前記受信機との間で進行中の接続を確立するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVの送信機からの通信を受信するステップは、圧縮デジタルビデオ送信を受信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVの送信機からの通信を受信するステップは、フルサイズおよびフルフレームレートのデジタルビデオ送信を受信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVの送信機からの通信を受信するステップは、前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVにより収集された偵察情報を受信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVの送信機からの通信を受信するステップは、前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVに関連する調子および/または状態に関する情報を受信するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVの送信機からの通信を受信するステップは、前記無線デバイスを使用して前記UAVにより収集された偵察情報を受信するステップを含み、
前記収集された情報は、第2のUAVに関連する情報を含み、また空域での衝突を回避すること、地理的地域の共同偵察を実施すること、および/または対象の共同追跡を実施することを目的として収集されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記送信するステップおよび受信するステップは、UAV以外の飛行機から実行されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記送信するステップおよび受信するステップは、地上局から実行されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 無人機を制御するためのシステムであって、
もっぱら携帯電話通信に使用される無線通信ネットワークで動作するように構成された送信機を有する少なくとも1つの地上管制デバイスと、
前記無線通信ネットワーク内で動作するように構成された受信機を有するモバイルデバイスを備える無人機(UAV)であって、前記受信機を介して受信される通信を含む、前記少なくとも1つの地上管制デバイスからの通信に応答するUAVと
を含むことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記UAVは、前記無線通信ネットワークの範囲外にある1つまたは複数のUAVに制御信号を中継するように構成されているコントローラを備えるブリッジ制御システムを備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載のシステム。

前記指定されたチャネルを介して前記UAVに、前記UAVの動作を制御するために使用される制御信号を送信するステップと
