Abstract

本発明は、異なる3つの要素、すなわち芯部材の周囲に巻き付けられるシートから形成された可撓性円筒形側壁と、少なくとも半硬質な底部と、少なくとも半硬質な頸部を有する上部とを備える、液体製品または粘性製品のためのプラスチック製容器に関するものであり、この容器は底部の上に載り、高さHと直径Dの比H/Dが1〜5であり;側壁および/またはそれ以外の2つの要素は、これらの要素を組み立てるときにこの容器の内部に配置される芯部材に添接する。本発明は、このような容器の製造方法にも関する。

Description

本発明は、あらかじめ製造された3つの要素(すなわち半硬質な底部と硬質な頸部の間に挟まれてチューブ状本体を形成する側壁)で主として構成されるプラスチック製容器の分野に関する。この容器により、瓶タイプの容器の機能的特性と柔軟な袋タイプの容器の機能的特性を調和させることができる。
本発明は特に、
− 飲料(例えば果汁、ビタミン添加飲料、牛乳、冷たい茶など)の収容、
− 粘性製品(例えば歯磨き、身体手入れ用クリーム、薬用塗油、食品(マヨネーズ、ケチャップ、辛子)など)の収容、
− 工業製品(例えばシリコーン、パテ)の収容
に利用されるが、用途がこれだけに限定されるわけではない。
上記の定義に対応するさまざまなタイプの容器が存在している。
例えば特許文献1に開示されている容器を挙げることができる。この特許では、半硬質な頭部が円筒形チューブの形状にされた可撓性のあるシートに接合されて、柔軟な直立した袋が製造される。特許文献2にも比較的似た容器が提示されている。この出願では、容器の本体は、その両端部に取り付けられた半硬質な部材を備えることができる。
従来のこれら容器には確かに多くの利点があるが、実際に実現するのは容易でないことがわかっている。実際、使用時に十分に機能する可撓性容器の実現には、硬さが不足する問題と確実には製造できない問題(力学的、幾何学的な特性が非常にさまざまである)に主に関係するいくつかの困難な点があることがわかる。例えば容器を製造する際には、壁部の厚さの最適化、空のときのパレットへの積み上げ、製造ライン上での移送、装填、蓋の取り付け、装填後のパレットへの積み上げなどが重要である。
容器を利用するときには、別の重要な点を考慮する必要がある。それは特に、容器を立てたときに安定していること(可撓性容器は完全にまっすぐではないことがしばしばある)、誤って製品が失われるリスクなしに開封できること、容器に再び蓋をできることなどである。
これらの重要な点の大半は、力学的に十分な硬さを有する可撓性容器を製造するのが難しいことが原因である。

本発明は、上記の問題を改善することを特に目的とする。
そこで本発明は、異なる3つの要素、すなわち芯部材の周囲に巻き付けられるシートから形成された可撓性円筒形側壁と、少なくとも半硬質な底部と、頸部を有する少なくとも半硬質な上部とを備える、液体製品または粘性製品のためのプラスチック製容器に関するものであり、この容器は底部の上に載り、高さHと直径Dの比H/Dが1〜5であり;側壁および/またはそれ以外の2つの要素は、これらの要素を組み立てるときにこの容器の内部に配置された芯部材に添接する。
本発明の特に有利なさまざまな実施態様は、従属請求項に記載されている。
本発明の容器は、組み立てるときにその構成要素が芯部材に添接するおかげで従来の容器と比べて多くの点(安定性、力学的耐久性など)が改善されていることに注意する必要がある。
このように添接できる部材がないと、これほど高性能の容器を得ることはできない。
図面に示した実施例を参照して以下に本発明を詳細に説明する。
図1と図2に示した容器は、巻かれたラミネート・シートで構成された側壁1と、底部2と、上部3とを備えていて、底部2と上部3はどちらも側壁1に固定される。
上部3は硬質であることが好ましいのに対し、底部2は半硬質なプラスチック材料で形成されていることが好ましい。
この容器は、頸部4の位置に硬質なカラー7が取り付けられている。このカラー7は、チューブを構成する諸要素を組み立てる前、または順次組み立てていくとき、そのチューブを移動させるときの把持手段となる。
上部3を側壁1に固定するため(図1)、側壁1と上部3に添接することのできる芯部材5をあらかじめ配置する。
同様に(図2)、底部3を側壁1に固定するため、底部2の中央部と添接する芯部材6をあらかじめ配置する。
さらに、容器は、円筒形支持体8とリング状支持体9を用いて所定の位置に維持される。
上部3と底部2を側壁1に接合するときに容器の内部で芯部材5、6を利用することは、少なくとも以下の2つの理由で非常に重要である。
1)要素1〜3が互いに非常に正確に位置決めされ、そのことによって容器を再現可能に確実に製造できるようになる。すると容器は底部の上に完全にまっすぐに立つ。
2)接合するときに規則的かつ一定の力が加わる。すると高品質の接合を得ることができる。
芯部材5、6は、直径が側壁1の直径よりも小さいか側壁1の直径と等しい必要がある。芯部材は側壁の高さとほぼ等しい距離にわたって配置されることが望ましい。芯部材の長さはしたがって少なくとも側壁の高さと等しいことが好ましい。また、芯部材は、正確な位置決めが確実になされるよう、そして接合時に特に力が最大になるよう、直径ができるだけ大きくなっていることが好ましい。実際には、上部3(底部2)と側壁1の間の接合領域は上部3(底部2)の外周に位置するため、接合時には芯部材5(芯部材6)を通じてこの接合領域のできるだけ近くに圧力を加えることが好ましい。
上部3を側壁1に接合する場合には、芯部材5の直径を側壁1の直径とほぼ同じにできることが望ましい。なぜなら側壁の下端は完全に自由な状態だからである。
逆に底部2を接合するときには、芯部材6は、頸部4の開口幅によって決まる直径を有する。頸部4の開口幅よりもわずかに小さな直径の芯部材を用いることが好ましい。
本発明の別の一実施態様によると、第1ステップでは、側壁と直径が等しい第1の芯部材を用いて底部2を側壁に接合する。この場合には、底部に開口部がなければならない。それは、その後、底部の開口部を通る第2の芯部材(この第2の芯部材は直径がこの開口部よりも小さい)を用いて上部3を円筒形の壁に接合できるようにするためである。最終ステップにおいて、キャップまたは硬質な部材を底部2に接合して底部の開口部を閉じる。
本発明の容器は、性能を保証するのに必要な最少の材料しか使用しないという利点を有する。すなわち、それぞれの場所で使用する材料の量(したがってその場所での壁部の厚さ)が最適化されている。容器の大半は、1枚の薄い可撓性シートからなる円筒形壁部1によって構成されている。この壁部1は、収容される製品を外側から保護するとともに、絵と文字で装飾するための基材として機能せねばならない。力学的な観点からすると、この壁部1は、製品の重さによって変形しないような充分な硬さが必要である。端部(上部3と底部2)が容器に硬さと強さをもたらし、端部は少なくとも部分的に硬質であり肉厚である。。底部2は、容器を安定かつ直立した状態にできる必要がある。頸部4によって(ねじ込み式または嵌め込み式の)キャップや接合した蓋などの閉鎖システムを取外し可能に支持することができる。閉鎖システムの操作が簡単になるようにするには、頸部4がある程度硬質なことが必要である。その一方で、頸部4があることで、製造後に容器に装填することができる。本発明の1つの利点は、頸部4と一体化したカラー7により、装填するための力学的な硬さが容器に付与されることである。カラー7により、閉鎖システムを取り付けるときに装填装置上で容器を操作することと頸部4を保持することが可能になる。頸部4をうまく保持するには、カラー7は、幅が2mm超かつ厚さが1mm超であることが好ましい。これらの要素は一般にプラスチック材料(例えばポリオレフィン(PEまたはPP))で形成されている。これらの要素は単層または複層にすることができ、特に注入成形、圧縮成形、熱成形のいずれかによって製造される。これらの要素の力学的特性が高性能の容器を得るのに十分であるためには、これらの要素は、厚さが少なくとも局所的に1mm以上であることが好ましい。
さらに、可撓性のある壁部を有する本発明の容器は、壁部としてあらかじめ印刷されたラミネート・シートを使用できるという利点を有する。このシートは通常は押し出された(または共押し出しされた)フィルムおよび/または吹き付けフィルムのラミネーションによって製造される。このシートは、通常はポリオレフィン(PEまたはPP)で構成された接合フィルムを備えており、力学的特性を向上させるための機能的フィルム(OPP、PET、PA、PSなど)と障壁特性を向上させるための機能的フィルム(PET、EVOH、PVDC、SiO、AlO、アルミニウムなど)も備えることができる。このラミネート・シートは容器を製作する前に平らな状態で印刷することができ、特に100〜400ミクロンと非常に薄くて非常に一様な(厚さの変動が10ミクロン未満)可撓性壁部が得られるという利点を有する。可撓性壁部が薄くて厚さが一様であることで、性能を保証しつつ、材料のコストが安い容器を得ることができる。

Claims (7)

  1. 液体製品または粘性製品のためのプラスチック製容器であって、
    異なる3つの要素、すなわち、
    芯部材の周囲に巻き付けられるシートから形成された可撓性円筒形側壁(1)と、
    少なくとも半硬質な底部(2)と、
    頸部(4)を有する少なくとも半硬質な上部(3)と、を備えていて、
    前記底部(2)の上に載り、高さHと直径Dの比H/Dが1〜5である、
    ものにおいて、
    前記側壁(1)および/またはそれ以外の2つの要素(2、3)が、これらの要素を組み立てるときにこの容器の内部に配置された芯部材(5、6)に添接するようにされている工程によって製造される、
    ことを特徴とする容器。
  2. 前記側壁(1)が前記底部と89°〜91°の角度をなしている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の容器。
  3. 前記頸部(4)の位置に把持手段(7)を備える、ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の容器。
  4. 前記把持手段(7)が前記頸部(4)と一体化されたカラー(7)であり、その幅が2mm超かつ厚さが1mm超である、ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の容器。
  5. 前記側壁(1)の少なくとも95%が100〜400ミクロンの範囲の一定の厚さになっていて;その厚さの変動が約10ミクロン未満である、ことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
  6. 前記底部(2)と前記上部(3)が、少なくとも局所的に1mm以上の厚さを有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の容器。
  7. 請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の容器の製造方法であって、前記側壁(1)と前記底部(2)と前記上部(3)を組み立てるとき、容器の内部に配置した芯部材(5、6)に添接する、ことを特徴とする方法。
