Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un envase plástico para productos líquidos o viscosos, que comprende tres elementos distintos, una pared lateral cilíndrica flexible hecha de una hoja envuelta alrededor de un mandril, un fondo al menos parcialmente rígido y una parte superior al menos parcialmente rígida que comprende un cuello, el envase es capaz de sostenerse sobre su fondo y tiene una altura H y un diámetro D, la relación H/D del cual está entre 1 y 5, y la pared lateral y los otros dos elementos, tras el montaje, descansan en un mandril dentro del envase. La invención se relaciona además con un método para la producción del envase.

Description

ENVASE FLEXIBLE HECHO DE PLÁSTICO CAMPO DE LA INVENCIÓN El campo de la presente invención es los envases plásticos que consisten básicamente de tres elementos prefabricados, a saber, una pared lateral que forma un cuerpo tubular entre un fondo semirrígido y un cuello rígido. Estos envases hacen posible aliar las propiedades funcionales de los envases de tipos de botella con aquéllos de tipos de bolsas flexibles. La presente invención está pretendida particularmente, pero de manera no exclusiva, para los siguientes usos: Envasado de bebidas alimenticias tales como jugos de fruta, bebidas vitamínicas, leche, té helado, etc. Envasado de productos viscosos tales como pasta de dientes, cremas para el cuidado corporal, ungüentos farmacéuticos, productos alimenticios (mayonesa, salsa de tomate, mostaza) , etc. - Envasado de productos técnicos tales como silicón o mastique.
ESTADO DE LA TECNICA Varios diferentes tipos de envases corresponden a la definición proporcionada anteriormente.
Un ejemplo que puede proporcionarse es el envase descrito en el documento de Patente austríaca AT 293 944, en la cual una parte superior semirrígida se suelda a una lámina flexible formada en un tubo cilindrico para proporcionar una bolsa flexible recta. La Solicitud de Patente EP 1 362 797, también presenta un envase relativamente similar en el cual el cuerpo del recipiente puede tener componentes semirrígidos unidos en cualquier extremo . Los envases de la técnica anterior, ciertamente ofrecen muchas ventajas, pero su producción no es fácil en la práctica. La producción de envases flexibles que se comportarán como se requiere cuando se utilicen, da lugar a varias dificultades, la mayoría con respecto a una rigidez deficiente e inconsistencia (gran variación en las propiedades mecánicas y geométricas) . Por ejemplo, los siguientes puntos son críticos cuando se produce el envase: optimización de los espesores de la pared, entarimado vacío, transporte en las líneas de producción, llenado, cierre, entarimado después del llenado, etc. Cuando se refiere al uso del envase, otros puntos críticos merecen consideración, particularmente: la estabilidad del envase cuando el envase se para sobre su fondo (los envases flexibles con frecuencia no son perfectamente rectos) , abrirlos sin el peligro de que el producto escape accidentalmente, capacidad de volver a cerrar el envase, etc. La mayoría de estos puntos críticos son debidos a la dificultad para producir envases flexibles con suficiente rigidez mecánica.
EXPOSICIÓN GENERAL DE LA INVENCIÓN Es un objeto particular de la presente invención superar los problemas mencionados anteriormente. Para este fin, la invención se relaciona con un envase plástico para productos líquidos o viscosos, que comprende tres elementos separados, a saber, una pared lateral cilindrica flexible formada por una hoja envuelta alrededor de un mandril, y un fondo al menos parcialmente rígido, y una parte superior al menos parcialmente rígida que incluye un cuello; el envase es capaz de descansar sobre su fondo, y tiene una altura H y un diámetro D, de manera que la relación H:D está entre 1:1 y 5:1; la pared lateral y/o los otros elementos están en contacto con un mandril durante su montaje. Otras modalidades particularmente ventajosas de la invención se describen en las reivindicaciones dependientes . Deberá indicarse que el envase de acuerdo con la invención ofrece numerosas mejoras con respecto a la técnica anterior (estabilidad, resistencia mecánica, etc. ) , debido al hecho de que sus componentes, durante su montaje, están en contacto con un mandril. En la ausencia de tal soporte, es imposible producir un envase de tan buena calidad.
EXPOSICIÓN DETALLADA DE LA INVENCIÓN La invención se describe con más detalle a continuación utilizando los ejemplos ilustrados en las siguientes figuras: La Figura 1 muestra la fijación de la parte superior a la pared lateral La Figura 2 muestra la fijación del fondo a la pared lateral.

La parte superior 3 es de manera preferida rígida, mientras que el fondo 2 se hace un plástico que es de manera preferida semirrígido. En el cuello 4 del envase, está un collarín rígido 7 utilizado para propósitos de manejo, cuando el tubo se mueve antes o después del montaje de sus elementos componentes . Para fijar la parte superior 3 a la pared lateral 1 (Figura 1), un mandril 5 se lleva primera en contacto con los dos elementos 1, 3. De manera similar (Figura 2), para fijar el fondo 2 a la pared lateral 1, un mandril 6 se coloca primero en contacto con el centro del fondo 2. El envase también se mantiene en su lugar por medio de un cilindro de soporte 8 y un anillo de soporte 9. El uso de mandriles 5, 6 dentro del envase cuando la parte superior 3 y el fondo 2 se están soldando a la pared lateral 1, es de gran importancia por al menos dos razones : 1) colocación altamente precisa de los elementos 1-3 uno con respecto al otro, asegurando así la fabricación reproducible de envases de calidad que se sostienen rectos de manera apropiada sobre su fondo; 2) aplicación de una fuerza uniforme y constante durante la operación de soldadura, produciendo así soldaduras de calidad. Los diámetros de los mandriles 5, 6 deben ser menores que, o iguales al diámetro de la pared lateral 1. Los mandriles se insertan de manera ventajosa a una distancia aproximadamente equivalente a la altura de la pared lateral. La longitud es, por lo tanto, de manera preferida, al menos igual a la altura de la pared lateral. También de manera preferida, deben tener el diámetro más grande posible con el fin de asegurar la colocación precisa y de manera más importante, la fuerza más grande posible durante las operaciones de soldadura, debido a que, dado que la zona de soldadura entre la parte superior 3 (o el fondo 2) y la pared lateral 1 corre alrededor del perímetro externo de la pieza 3 (o 2), es por lo tanto preferible, durante la operación de soldadura, aplicar la presión a través del mandril 5 (o 6) tan cerca como sea posible a esta zona de soldadura. Con respecto a la soldadura de la parte superior 3 a la pared lateral 1, el mandril 5 puede manera ventajosa, tener un diámetro igual al diámetro de la pared lateral 1, debido a que el borde inferior de la pared lateral no está unido a nada. En contraste, cuando se suelda el fondo 2, el mandril 6 tiene un diámetro determinado por la abertura del cuello 4. Es preferible utilizar un mandril cuyo diámetro es marginalmente menor que la dimensión de la abertura del cuello 4. En otro método de fabricación de acuerdo con la invención, el fondo 2 se suelda primero a la pared lateral con la ayuda de un primer mandril, cuyo diámetro es igual al diámetro de la pared lateral. En este caso, el fondo debe incluir una abertura con el fin de que sea posible soldar la parte superior 3 a la parte cilindrica con la ayuda de un segundo mandril insertado a través de la abertura del fondo (el diámetro de este segundo mandril será menor que aquél de la abertura) . El paso final será soldar una tapa o pieza rígida al fondo 2 para cerrar la abertura en el fondo. El envase de acuerdo con la presente invención tiene la ventaja de utilizar sólo una cantidad mínima de material, necesaria para realizar su función; es decir, que en cada punto, la cantidad de material utilizado (y por lo tanto, el espesor de las paredes en este punto) , se optimiza. La mayor parte del envase se hace de la pared lateral cilindrica 1 que es una hoja flexible delgada. 52-552 Esta pared 1 debe proteger el producto envasado del exterior, y puede actuar como un sustrato para la decoración gráfica y con textura. Desde el punto de vista mecánico, esta pared 1 debe tener suficiente rigidez para no deformarse bajo el peso del producto. Los extremos (la parte superior 3 y el fondo 2) proporcionan al envase su rigidez y resistencia, y son al menos parcialmente rígidos, debido a que sus paredes son más gruesas. El fondo 2 debe ser tal que el envase es estable cuando se para vertical. El cuello 4 puede tomar un sistema de cierre retirable tal como una parte superior atornillable o una parte superior con ajuste a presión o un sello soldado. Para una manipulación fácil del sistema de cierre, el cuello 4 necesita tener un grado de rigidez. El cuello 4 también se utiliza para llenar el envase después de la fabricación. Una ventaja de la presente invención es que le proporciona al envase la rigidez mecánica necesaria para llenarlo, en la forma de un collarín 7 integral con el cuello 4. El collarín 7 permite que el envase sea manipulado en la máquina de llenado, y permite que el cuello 4 se mantenga fijo cuando el sistema de cierre se está colocando. Para proporcionar un buen punto de apoyo en el cuello 4, es preferible tener un collarín 7 de un ancho mayor que 2 mm y un espesor mayor que 1 mm. Estos elementos están hechos típicamente de plástico, los ejemplos son poliolefinas (PE 52-552 o PP) . Estos elementos pueden ser de una sola capa o de múltiples capas y son producidos mediante, entre otros procesos, moldeo por inyección, moldeo por compresión o termoformación . Para asegurar que sus propiedades mecánicas son suficientemente buenas para producir un envase de alta calidad, estos elementos de manera preferida tienen al menos localmente, un espesor mayor que o igual a 1 mm. Además, un envase de pared flexible de acuerdo con la presente invención, tiene la ventaja de que puede hacerse con hojas laminadas preimpresas para las paredes. Estas hojas se producen usualmente laminando películas extruidas (o coextruidas) y/o películas sopladas. Estas hojas comprenden películas de soldadura que son normalmente poliolefinas (PE o PP) , y también pueden comprender películas funcionales para mejorar las propiedades mecánicas (OPP, PET, PA, PS, etc.), y propiedades de barrera (PET, EVOH, PVDC, SiOx, AlOx, aluminio, etc.). La ventaja con estas hojas laminadas es que pueden imprimirse planas antes de constituir el envase y, de manera importante, que resultan en paredes flexibles de espesores muy pequeños (entre 100 y 400 mieras) , y que son muy uniformes (con variaciones en el espesor de menos de 10 mieras) . La delgadez y consistencia del espesor de la pared flexible constituye un envase que tiene un bajo costo en términos de materiales, pero todavía de una calidad consistente. 52-552

Claims (1)

  1. REIVINDICACIONES . 1. Un envase plástico para productos líquidos o viscosos que comprende tres elementos separados, a saber, una pared lateral cilindrica flexible (1) formada por una hoja envuelta alrededor de un mandril, un fondo al menos parcialmente rígido (2), y una parte superior al menos parcialmente rígida (3) que incluye un cuello (4); el envase es capaz de descansar sobre su fondo (2), y tiene una altura H y un diámetro D, de manera que la relación H:D está entre 1:1 y 5:1; que se produce mediante un proceso en el cual la pared lateral (1) y/o los otros dos elementos (2, 3), durante su montaje, están en contacto con un mandril (5, 6) colocado dentro del envase. 2. El envase según la reivindicación anterior, en la cual la pared lateral (1) forma un ángulo con el fondo de entre 89 grados y 91 grados. 3. El envase según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, que comprende medios de manipulación (7) en el cuello (4). 4. El envase según la reivindicación anterior, en la cual los medios de manipulación son un collarín (7) integrado con el cuello (4), su ancho es mayor que 2 mm y su espesor mayor que 1 mm. 5. El envase según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el cual al menos 95% de la 52-552 pared lateral (1) es de un espesor constante de entre 100 y 400 mieras; la variación del espesor es menor que aproximadamente 10 mieras. 6. El envase según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en el cual el fondo (2) y la parte superior (3) tienen al menos localmente, un espesor mayor que o igual a 1 mm. 7. Un proceso para la fabricación de un envase según cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, en donde la pared lateral (1), el fondo (2) y la parte superior (3), durante su montaje, están en contacto con un mandril (5, 6), colocado dentro del envase. 52-552
