Claims (27)
- 少なくとも1つの基板と、少なくとも1つの電気的に調節される画像層と、少なくとも1つの導電層とを含む表示装置であって、
前記電気的に調節される画像層は、ゲスト−ホスト質のドメインの自己集成され、密充填された規則性単層を含み、前記ゲスト−ホスト質は、定着された高分子マトリクスにおいて、光調節するホスト内に二色性または多色性色素ゲストを含み、表示の外観は、視角について依存性がない、表示装置。 - 前記基板は、柔軟である、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ホストは、ネマチックまたはスメクチックホスト質を含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ゲスト−ホスト質のドメインの自己集成され、密充填された規則性単層は、ドメインの六方最密充填された規則性単層である、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 高分子マトリクスにおいて、前記ゲスト−ホスト質のドメインの自己集成され、密充填された規則性単層は、2〜10μmの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 高分子マトリクスにおいて、前記ゲスト−ホスト質のドメインの自己集成され、密充填された規則性単層は、5〜15ミクロン(μm)のドメイン寸法範囲を有する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ドメイン寸法範囲は、0.2より小さい変動係数を有する、請求項6に記載の表示装置。
- 前記二色性または多色性色素ゲストは、選択的な外部電界に応答して、前記ホストにより配列され、コントラスト光を吸収可能な状態を生成する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記二色性または多色性色素ゲストは、少なくとも1つの、ベンゼン系アゾ色素、スチルベン系色素、及び、アントラキノン系色素を含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記二色性または多色性色素ゲストは、0.7より大きい規則性パラメータを有する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記二色性または多色性色素ゲストは、4,4′−ビス(4−N,N−ジメチルアミノ−2,6−ジメチルフェニルアゾ)アゾベンゼン、4,4′−ビス−(4−N,N−ジメチルアミノ−2−フェニルアゾ)アゾベンゼン、4,4′−ビス−(4−N,N−ジエチルアミノ−2−メチルフェニルアゾ)アゾベンゼン、4,4′−ビス−[2,5−ジメチル−4−(4−エチルアミノナフチルアゾ)−フェニルアゾアゾベンゼン、及び、4,4′−ビス−[2,5−ジメチル−4−(4−メチルアミノナフチルアゾ)フェニルアゾ]アゾベンゼンからなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの色素である、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記高分子マトリクスは、ポリマーラテックスを含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記高分子マトリクスは、ポリウレタンラテックスを含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記高分子マトリクスは、ウレタン、スチレン、α−メチレン脂肪族モノカルボン酸のエステル、及び、ビニリデンハロゲン化物からなる群から選択された少なくとも1つのラテックスを含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記高分子マトリクスは、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン、またはこれらの組合せの水懸濁液を含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記高分子マトリクスは、ゼラチンを含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ゼラチンは、魚ゼラチンである、請求項16に記載の表示装置。
- 前記定着された高分子マトリクスは、魚皮ゼラチン、PVA、エアロゾル(Aerosol) OT塗布剤、及び、ビス(ビニルスルホニル)メタン架橋剤を含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記導電ポリマーは、ポリチオフェンを含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電層は、酸化インジウムスズ(ITO)を含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電層は、印刷銀電極である、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 白色コントラスト層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記白色層は、1ミクロン(μm)未満の粒子寸法を有する粉砕された不導性着色剤を含む、請求項22に記載の表示装置。
- 前記白色層は、400ナノメートル〜700ナノメートル波長の可視光スペクトルにわたる全ての波長の光を反射する、請求項22に記載の表示装置。
- 前記白色層は、チタニアを含む、請求項22に記載の表示装置。
- 前記白色層は、バリヤー層である、請求項22に記載の表示装置。
- D65照明または日光に等しい照明を提供する光源により照射されるスペクトル放射計を用いて、45度、60度、及び22.5度の視角にて、前記表示の反射率係数を測定することにより、前記視角について依存性がない外観は、判別される、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
