Abstract
【解決手段】 相当量の紫外(UV)光をブロックできるディフューザが、照明系に提供されている。本発明の所定の実施例において、ディフューザは、相当量のUV光をブロックする1つ以上のUV膜を支持するガラス基板を備え、もってディフューザを通過しうるUV光の量を低減する。所定の実施例において、膜は、フリット母材中に無機粒子を有し、その結果、膜が可視光を拡散すると共にUV光をブロックすることともなる。

本発明の他の実施例において、ディフューザが光を拡散する(例えば、エッチング等によって粗く加工された)面を有し、UV膜がガラス基板の粗い面の反対側の広い面上に設けられている。UV膜は、相当量のUV光をブロックするように機能する。

Claims (20)
- 少なくとも可視光と紫外(UV)光を含む光を放射する光源と、前記光源からの光を受光するように配置され、前記光源から受光した可視光を拡散するディフューザと、を備え、
前記ディフューザがUVブロック膜を支持するガラス基板を備えて前記ディフューザが約20%未満のTuv(UV透過率)を有し、前記UVブロック膜がガラスフリット内にCe、Zn、Bi、Ti、Sn及びSbのうちの1つ以上の無機酸化物を有する、ことを特徴とする照明系。 - 前記UVブロック膜が、Ce、Bi、Ti、Sn及びSbのうちの1つ以上の無機酸化物を重量比で約0.1〜10%有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、Ce、Bi、Ti、Sn及びSbのうちの1つ以上の無機酸化物を重量比で約0.1〜5%有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、Ce、Bi、Ti、Sn及びSbのうちの1つ以上の無機酸化物を重量比で約1〜5%有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、重量比でフリットを少なくも約80%有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記ディフューザが、約10%未満のTuvを有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記ディフューザが、約5%未満のTuvを有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記ディフューザが、約3%未満のTuvを有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、間接的に前記ガラス基板と接触している、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、熱強化処理されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、約5〜35%の酸化珪素と、約10〜50%の酸化セリウムと、約30〜70%の亜鉛アンチモン化合物と、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記ディフューザが、波長325nmで、15%未満、より好ましくは10%未満、最も好ましくは5%未満の透過率を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記ディフューザが、少なくとも約35%の可視光の透過率を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、有機材料を全く含まないか実質的に含まない、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明系。
- UVブロック膜を支持するガラス基板を備えた照明系において使用される光学ディフューザであって、
前記ディフューザが約20%未満のTuv(UV透過率)を有し、前記UVブロック膜がUV光の相当量をブロックする少なくとも1つの無機金属酸化物を有し、前記少なくとも1つの無機金属酸化物がフリット内に供給されている、ことを特徴とする光学ディフューザ。 - 前記UVブロック膜が、Ce、Bi、Ti、Sn及びSbのうちの1つ以上の無機酸化物を重量比で約0.1〜10%有する、ことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の光学ディフューザ。
- 前記ディフューザが、約5%未満のTuvを有する、ことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の光学ディフューザ。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、熱強化処理されている、ことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の光学ディフューザ。
- 前記UVブロック膜が、(a)約10〜50%の酸化セリウムと(b)約30〜70%の亜鉛アンチモン化合物のうちの1つ以上を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の光学ディフューザ。
- 前記ディフューザが、少なくとも約35%の可視光の透過率を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の光学ディフューザ。
