Abstract
Description
Claims (11)
- 互いに積み重ねられた複数のユニットセルを含むバッテリーモジュールにおいて、
前記バッテリーモジュールは、前記ユニットセル間に形成される間隙(流路)内を流れる冷却剤による接触型冷却を実現する冷却システムを有し、
前記ユニットセル間に形成される前記流路は、前記流路入口ポートにおける前記冷却剤の流れ方向に対して所定の角度をなす、バッテリーモジュール。 - 前記所定の角度は2°乃至30°である、請求項1記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記所定の角度は3°乃至15°である、請求項2記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記冷却剤は空気である、請求項1記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記ユニットセルは、リチウム二次バッテリーである、請求項1記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記ユニットセルは、ポーチ型バッテリーである、請求項1記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 1またはそれを上回るユニットセルが、前記ユニットセルの外面の略全体が外方に露出するようにカートリッジ内に取り付けられ、複数のカートリッジがバッテリーモジュールを構成するように互いに積み重ねられている、請求項1記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 前記カートリッジは、前記ユニットセルの端部を固定するための一対の矩形のフレーム部材を含み、
前記矩形のフレーム部材が互いに連結された際、前記ユニットセルの上表面および下表面が外方に露出するようになっており、
1またはそれを上回る板形状のユニットセルが、前記ユニットセルが横向きに配置されるように前記フレーム部材間に取り付けられ、
前記ユニットセルの電極端子を接続するためのバスバーが上端フレームに取り付けられ、
前記カートリッジのサイドフレームは、上フレームおよび下フレームの高さより高いとともに前記ユニットセルが前記カートリッジ内に取り付けられた際のユニットセルの厚さより高い高さを有し、
前記サイドフレームは前記上フレームに対して所定の角度をなし、
前記ユニットセルが内部に取り付けられた複数のカートリッジが、バッテリーモジュールを構成するように互いに順次積み重ねられたとき、連続的な流路が、隣接するカートリッジの前記上端フレームおよび前記下端フレームの間および互いに向かい合う前記ユニットセルの上表面および下表面の間に形成され、
前記ユニットセル間に形成される前記流路は、前記サイドフレームと同じ傾斜角度を有し、前記流路入口ポートが前記上端フレーム間に形成される、請求項7記載のバッテリーモジュール。 - 前記カートリッジの前記下端フレームは、前記カートリッジの前記上フレームと同じ角度で傾斜している、請求項8記載のバッテリーモジュール。
- 請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項記載のバッテリーモジュールを、1またはそれより多く含む、中型または大型バッテリーパック。
- 前記バッテリーパックが、電気自動車またはハイブリッド電気自動車用の電源として使用される、請求項10記載のバッテリーパック。
