本出願は、同一所有者の米国特許仮出願番号60/736071(アーロンスペアリン(Aaron Spearin)ら、2005年11月9日出願)、名称「バグ型フィルター組立体中で使用するための、周辺ひだを有するフィルタースリーブを形成するための装置及び方法(Apparatus and Methods for Forming Filter Sleeves Having Circumferential Pleats For Use in a Bag-Type Filter Assembly)」の一部継続であって、その優先権を請求するものであり、本開示と矛盾しない範囲において、その開示を参考として本明細書に組み入れる。

Claims (20)
- 周囲方向にひだが付いたフィルタースリーブの形成に使用される複数の可能なひだパックを組み立てるためのシステムであって、
略水平の接触面と、
予め定められたひだの連続して立ち上がったひだパックを前記略水平の接触面に供給するための、前記略水平の接触面に近接して作動可能に配置された切削構造体を有するプリーツ加工機と、
前記プリーツ加工機から受け取った、前記立ち上がったひだパックを平坦化状態に導くための案内構造部と、
前記ひだパックを前記平坦化状態に固定するための固定構造部と、
周辺ひだのスリーブに引き続いて形成するために、前記平坦化されたひだパックを予め定められた長さに形成するための形成構造部、とを含むシステム。 - 前記ひだパックが多層複合フィルタを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。

前記プリーツ加工機から受け取った、前記立ち上がったひだパックを平坦化状態に導くための構造部を提供する操作と、
前記ひだパックを前記平坦化状態に固定するための構造部を提供する操作と、
引き続いて周辺ひだのスリーブに形成するために、前記平坦化されたひだパックを予め定められた長さに形成するための構造部を提供する操作、とを含む方法。 - 前記立ち上がったひだを前記プリーツ加工機から前記形成構造部まで移動させるための、前記略水平の接触面に近接して作動可能に配置された構造部を提供することを更に含む、請求項12に記載の方法。

積層され、平坦化された前記ひだを前記対向するカレンダー構造部の間に供給して、積層された前記ひだを一体複合構造に形成する操作、とを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
