Abstract
【解決手段】車速Vが所定車速Vrefを下回ったときに(S130)、触媒臭発生フラグFs1が値1であっても(S140)、燃料カットの禁止を伴う触媒劣化抑制制御を実行している最中には(S150)、燃料カットを伴う触媒臭抑制制御を実行しない。これにより、触媒劣化抑制制御を中断して触媒臭抑制制御を実行することがなくなり、内燃機関は比較的短時間の間に燃料を噴射する状態から燃料カットし再び燃料を噴射することがなくなるので、内燃機関のトルクの一時的な落ち込みによるショックの発生を防止することができる。この結果、触媒劣化抑制制御と触媒臭抑制制御の実行に伴うショックの発生を抑制して乗員に与える違和感を軽減することができる。

(b)前記浄化触媒の触媒臭が発生する触媒臭発生条件が成立した場合、車速が所定車速を下回ったときに前記燃料噴射手段による燃料噴射をカットして前記内燃機関を運転する触媒臭抑制制御を実行し、車速が前記所定車速を下回っても前記触媒劣化抑制制御が実行されている最中には前記触媒臭発生条件の成立に拘わらず前記触媒臭抑制制御を実行しない
ことを要旨とする。

- 燃料を噴射する燃料噴射手段と、排気を浄化する浄化触媒とを有する内燃機関を備える車両であって、
車速を検出する車速検出手段と、
前記浄化触媒の劣化が促進される触媒劣化促進条件が成立した場合、前記燃料噴射手段による燃料噴射のカットを禁止して前記内燃機関を運転する触媒劣化抑制制御を実行する触媒劣化抑制制御手段と、
前記浄化触媒の触媒臭が発生する触媒臭発生条件が成立した場合、前記検出される車速が所定車速を下回ったときに前記燃料噴射手段による燃料噴射をカットして前記内燃機関を運転する触媒臭抑制制御を実行し、前記検出される車速が前記所定車速を下回っても前記触媒劣化抑制制御が実行されている最中には前記触媒臭発生条件の成立に拘わらず前記触媒臭抑制制御を実行しない触媒臭抑制制御手段と
を備える車両。 - 請求項1記載の車両であって、
所定の停止条件が成立したときには前記内燃機関を自動停止し、所定の始動条件が成立したときには該内燃機関を自動始動する自動始動停止手段と、
前記内燃機関をモータリング可能なモータリング手段とを備え、
前記触媒臭抑制制御手段は、前記内燃機関の所定の停止条件が成立したときに前記触媒臭発生条件が成立していれば、前記触媒劣化抑制制御が実行されているときであっても、前記モータリング手段によるモータリングを伴って前記触媒臭抑制制御を実行し、該触媒臭抑制制御の実行が完了したときに前記自動始動停止手段による内燃機関の停止が実行されるよう該モータリングを停止する手段である
車両。 - 前記モータリング手段は、動力を入出力可能な電動機と、車軸に接続された駆動軸と前記内燃機関の出力軸と前記電動機の回転軸との3軸に接続され該3軸のうちいずれか2軸に入出力する動力に基づいて残余の軸に動力を入出力する3軸式動力入出力手段とを備える手段である請求項2記載の車両。
- 前記触媒劣化抑制制御手段は、前記浄化触媒が第1の所定温度以上のときに前記触媒劣化促進条件が成立したとして前記触媒劣化抑制制御を実行する手段である請求項1ないし3いずれか1項に記載の車両。
- 前記触媒臭抑制制御手段は、前記燃料噴射手段が理論空燃費に基づく燃料噴射量に対して増量された燃料を噴射した増量噴射履歴があり且つ該増量噴射以降に前記浄化触媒がリーン雰囲気とされずに第2の所定温度以上となっているときに前記触媒臭発生条件が成立したとして前記触媒臭抑制制御を実行する手段である請求項1ないし4いずれか1項に記載の車両。
- 燃料を噴射する燃料噴射手段と排気を浄化する浄化触媒とを有する内燃機関を備える車両の制御方法であって、
(a)前記浄化触媒の劣化が促進される触媒劣化促進条件が成立した場合、前記燃料噴射手段による燃料噴射のカットを禁止して前記内燃機関を運転する触媒劣化抑制制御を実行し、
(b)前記浄化触媒の触媒臭が発生する触媒臭発生条件が成立した場合、車速が所定車速を下回ったときに前記燃料噴射手段による燃料噴射をカットして前記内燃機関を運転する触媒臭抑制制御を実行し、車速が前記所定車速を下回っても前記触媒劣化抑制制御が実行されている最中には前記触媒臭発生条件の成立に拘わらず前記触媒臭抑制制御を実行しない
