Abstract
【解決手段】シートSの搬送方向先端にバリが存在しても感光体41からシートSを良好に分離させる。シートSの搬送方向先端が転写ニップ部N1に進入してから、シートSにおける所定の非画像領域が転写ニップ部N1を通過するまで、転写極性と逆極性の電圧を転写電源CHを制御して転写ローラ54に印加する。その後、シートSにおける非画像領域が転写ニップ部N1を通過する間に、逆極性の電圧から転写極性側の電圧へ切り換えて転写ローラ54に印加する。

Description
像担持体との間でニップ部を形成し、前記ニップ部を通過するシートに対して前記像担持体上のトナー像を転写する転写部と、
当該転写部に電圧を印加する印加部と、
当該印加部を制御する制御部と、を有し、
前記制御部は、
シートの搬送方向先端が前記ニップ部に進入してから、シートにおける所定の非画像領域が前記ニップ部を通過するまで、転写極性と逆極性の電圧を前記転写部に印加し、
その後、シートにおける非画像領域が前記ニップ部を通過する間に、前記逆極性の電圧から転写極性側の電圧へ切り換えて前記転写部に印加するよう、前記印加部を制御することを特徴とするものである。
像担持体上の静電潜像を現像剤により顕像化する現像装置と、
前記転写装置と、
当該転写装置により転写されたトナー像をシート上に定着する定着装置と、
を有することを特徴とするものである。

Claims (3)
- 像担持体との間でニップ部を形成し、前記ニップ部を通過するシートに対して前記像担持体上のトナー像を転写する転写部と、
当該転写部に電圧を印加する印加部と、
当該印加部を制御する制御部と、を有し、
前記制御部は、
シートの搬送方向先端が前記ニップ部に進入してから、シートにおける所定の非画像領域が前記ニップ部を通過するまで、転写極性と逆極性の電圧を前記転写部に印加し、
その後、シートにおける非画像領域が前記ニップ部を通過する間に、前記逆極性の電圧から転写極性側の電圧へ切り換えて前記転写部に印加するよう、前記印加部を制御することを特徴とする転写装置。 - 前記転写極性側の電圧の絶対値が、前記像担持体上のトナー像をシートに転写する際に前記転写部に印加される電圧の絶対値より大きい請求項1に記載の転写装置。
- 像担持体上の静電潜像を現像剤により顕像化する現像装置と、
請求項1又は2に記載の転写装置と、
当該転写装置により転写されたトナー像をシート上に定着する定着装置と、
を有することを特徴とする画像形成装置。
