Abstract
【解決手段】メタクリル酸メチルを主体とする単量体が重合してなる重合体を含有する熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物であって、該重合体の粘度平均分子量が15万〜25万であることを特徴とする熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物。中でも、前記重合体が、メタクリル酸メチル85〜100重量部とアクリル酸エステル0〜15重量部とが重合してなる重合体であるのが好ましい。

Description
評価試験の対象となるメタクリル樹脂組成物を、射出成形機(東芝社製の「IS130II型」)により、成形温度240℃、金型温度60℃で、縦210mm×横120mm×厚さ3mmの平板(1)を作製した(図1参照)。次いで、この平板(1)を、パネルソーにより、図2に示すように縦20mm×横40mm×厚さ3mmに切断して試験片(2)を計22枚作製した。尚、図1は切断する前の平板(1)を上から見た模式図であり、図2は切断した後の各試験片(2)を上から見た模式図である。
メタクリル樹脂組成物の糸曳き性の評価試験法について、図3及び図4をもとに説明する。尚、図3は評価試験開始前の状態の一例を表す模式図であり、図4は該評価試験において、メタクリル樹脂組成物の試験片が糸を曳いている状態の一例を表す模式図である。
図3で示すように、ホットプレート(3)上に縦15cm×横15cm×厚さ3mmのSUS34製のプレートを敷き、これを熱板(4)とした。一方、高さ調整が可能なハイトゲージ(5)にアルミ製の棒(6)を挟み、さらにこのアルミ棒(6)に、上述した作製法により得た縦20mm×横40mm×厚さ3mmのメタクリル樹脂組成物の試験片(2)をクリップで留めた。
次に、所定温度に加熱した熱板(4)に、試験片(2)のうち該試験片を作製する際にパネルソーにより切断されていない面(20mm×3mm)を20秒間押しあてることにより、試験片(2)の接触部を溶融させた後、図2に示すように試験片(2)を持ち上げて糸(7)が曳いた長さをハイトゲージ(5)の目盛りで読み取った。
上記操作を10回繰り返し、ある温度における糸曳きの長さの平均値を求めた。そして、この平均値が5cmになった温度を糸曳き開始温度とした。
(a)メタクリル酸メチルとアクリル酸メチルとが重合してなる重合体の製造
攪拌器を備えた重合反応器に、メタクリル酸メチル97重量部及びアクリル酸メチル3重量部の混合物と、1,1−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)シクロヘキサン0.016重量部と、n−オクチルメルカプタン0.09重量部とを、それぞれ連続的に供給し、175℃、平均滞留時間40分で重合反応を行った。次いで、重合反応器から出る反応液(部分重合体)を予熱した後、脱揮押出機に供給し、未反応の単量体成分を気化して回収するとともに、ペレット状の重合体を得た。
実施例1(a)で得られた重合体を熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物として、上記作製法により試験片を作製した後、該試験片を上記評価試験法により評価した。その結果を表1に示す。

実施例1(a)と同様の操作により、ペレット状の重合体を得た。
実施例2(a)で得られた重合体100重量部と、エチレンビスステアリン酸アミド0.1重量部とをタンブラーにより混合した後、スクリュー径40mmの押出機に供給して溶融混練することにより熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物を得た。
実施例2(b)で得られたメタクリル樹脂組成物を用いて、上記作製法により試験片を作製した後、該試験片を上記評価試験法により評価した。その結果を表1に示す。
エチレンビスステアリン酸アミドの使用量を0.1重量部から0.2重量部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
エチレンビスステアリン酸アミドの使用量を0.1重量部から0.3重量部に変更した以外は、実施例2と同様の操作を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
(a)熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物の製造
実施例1(a)と同様の操作で重合反応を行った。次いで、重合反応器から出る反応液(部分重合体)を予熱した後、脱揮押出機に供給し、未反応の単量体成分を気化して回収した後、該押出機先端部に溶解したステアリルアルコール0.1重量部を定量ポンプにより添加して、ペレット状の熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物を得た。
実施例5(a)で得られたメタクリル樹脂組成物を用いて、上記作製法により試験片を作製した後、該試験片を上記評価試験法により評価した。その結果を表1に示す。
(a)メタクリル酸メチルとアクリル酸メチルとが重合してなる重合体の製造
攪拌器を備えた重合反応器に、メタクリル酸メチル99重量部及びアクリル酸メチル1重量部の混合物と、1,1−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)シクロヘキサン0.016重量部と、n−オクチルメルカプタン0.17重量部とを、それぞれ連続的に供給し、175℃、平均滞留時間40分で重合反応を行った。次いで、重合反応器から出る反応液(部分重合体)を予熱した後、脱揮押出機に供給し、未反応の単量体成分を気化して回収するとともに、ペレット状の重合体を得た。
比較例1(a)で得られた重合体を熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物として、上記作製法により試験片を作製した後、該試験片を上記評価試験法により評価した。その結果を表1に示す。

Claims (6)
- メタクリル酸メチルを主体とする単量体が重合してなる重合体を含有する熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物であって、該重合体の粘度平均分子量が15万〜25万であることを特徴とする熱板融着用メタクリル樹脂組成物。
- 前記重合体が、メタクリル酸メチル85〜100重量部とアクリル酸エステル0〜15重量部とが重合してなる重合体である請求項1に記載のメタクリル樹脂組成物。
- 前記重合体を含有し、さらに、脂肪酸誘導体及び/又は脂肪族アルコールを含有する請求項1又は2に記載のメタクリル樹脂組成物。
- 脂肪酸誘導体及び/又は脂肪族アルコールの含有量が、メタクリル樹脂組成物100重量部に対して0.01〜1.0重量部である請求項3に記載のメタクリル樹脂組成物。
- 車両用部材の原材料として用いられる請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のメタクリル樹脂組成物。
- 車両用部材が、テールランプカバー、ヘッドランプカバー及びメーターパネルから選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項5に記載のメタクリル樹脂組成物。
