Abstract
【解決手段】スロットル弁7下流の吸気枝管2と排気管11とをEGR通路16により互いに接続し、EGRガス量を制御するEGR制御弁17をEGR通路16内に配置し、EGR制御弁17下流のEGR通路16内にEGR触媒18を配置する。粒子状物質を酸化除去するためにオゾンを供給するオゾン供給装置20を設け、オゾン供給装置20のオゾン供給端21eをEGR触媒18上流のEGR通路16に接続する。EGRガス供給作用時であってかつEGR触媒温度があらかじめ定められた設定温度範囲内にあるときにオゾン供給作用を行い、EGRガス供給作用停止時又はEGR触媒温度が設定温度範囲外にあるときにオゾン供給作用を停止する。

Claims (20)
- スロットル弁下流の吸気通路と排気通路とを互いに接続する排気再循環通路と、該排気再循環通路内に配置されて該排気再循環通路内を流通する排気再循環ガス量を制御する排気再循環制御弁と、を具備した内燃機関において、粒子状物質を酸化除去するために排気再循環通路内にオゾンを供給するオゾン供給手段と、該オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給作用を制御するオゾン供給制御手段と、を具備し、該オゾン供給制御手段は該オゾン供給手段を制御して、排気再循環ガス供給作用時であってかつ該オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給先の温度があらかじめ定められた設定温度範囲内にあるときにオゾン供給作用を行い、排気再循環ガス供給作用停止時又は該オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給先の温度が該設定温度範囲外にあるときにオゾン供給作用を停止する、排気浄化装置。
- 前記排気再循環通路内に酸化機能を有する排気再循環触媒を配置し、前記オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給端を該排気再循環触媒上流の排気再循環通路に接続し、前記オゾン供給制御手段は該オゾン供給手段を制御して、排気再循環ガス供給作用時であってかつ該排気再循環触媒の温度が前記設定温度範囲内にあるときにオゾン供給作用を行い、排気再循環ガス供給作用停止時又は該排気再循環触媒の温度が前記設定温度範囲外にあるときにオゾン供給作用を停止する請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記設定温度範囲の下限閾値をオゾン存在下における前記排気再循環触媒の活性温度に設定し、前記設定温度範囲の上限閾値をオゾン不存在下における前記排気再循環触媒の活性温度に設定した請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記設定温度範囲の上限閾値をオゾンの熱分解温度に設定した請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記設定温度範囲の下限閾値を100から200℃までの間に設定し、前記設定温度範囲の上限閾値を250から300℃までの間に設定した請求項1から4までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記排気再循環通路内に排気再循環ガスを冷却する排気再循環クーラを配置し、前記オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給端を該排気再循環クーラ下流の排気再循環通路に接続し、前記オゾン供給制御手段は前記オゾン供給手段を制御して、排気再循環ガス供給作用時にオゾン供給作用を行い、排気再循環ガス供給作用停止時にオゾン供給作用を停止する 請求項1から5までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- ブローバイガス換気通路が吸気通路に接続されており、前記排気再循環通路の流出端を該ブローバイガス換気通路の流出端上流の吸気通路に接続した請求項1から6までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給端を前記排気再循環制御弁下流の前記排気再循環通路に接続した請求項1から7までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記オゾン供給手段が、前記排気再循環制御弁下流の前記排気再循環通路を空気源に接続する空気通路と、該空気通路内に配置されて該空気通路内を流通する空気量を制御する空気制御弁と、該空気通路内に配置されて該空気通路内の空気中の酸素からオゾンを生成するオゾン生成器と、を具備し、前記オゾン供給手段によるオゾン供給作用を行うべきときには該空気制御弁を開弁しつつ該オゾン生成器を作動させ、前記オゾン供給手段によるオゾン供給作用を停止すべきときには該空気制御弁を閉弁し又は該オゾン生成器を作動停止する請求項8に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記空気通路から前記排気再循環通路内に流入する空気中のオゾン濃度を制御する手段を更に具備し、機関負荷が高いときには低いときに比べて該オゾン濃度を高めるようにした請求項9に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記空気通路から前記排気再循環通路内に流入する空気量に基づいてスロットル開度を制御するスロットル開度制御手段を更に具備した請求項9又は10に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記空気源をスロットル弁上流の吸気通路から構成した請求項9から11までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- バルブオーバラップ量が機関運転状態に応じて変更可能になっており、前記オゾン供給制御手段は、バルブオーバラップ量があらかじめ定められた許容上限よりも大きいときには、排気再循環ガス供給作用停止時又は前記オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給先の温度が前記設定温度範囲外にあるときであっても、前記オゾン供給手段によるオゾン供給作用を行う請求項8から12までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記オゾン供給手段から供給されるオゾンの量を制御する手段を更に具備し、バルブオーバラップ量が大きいときには小さいときに比べて該供給されるオゾンの量を多くする請求項13に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記オゾン供給手段から供給されるオゾンの量を制御する手段を更に具備し、排気再循環ガス量が多いときには少ないときに比べて該供給されるオゾンの量を多くする請求項1から13までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記オゾン供給手段から供給されるオゾンの量を制御する手段を更に具備し、機関温度が低いときには機関温度が高いときに比べて該供給されるオゾンの量を多くする請求項1から15までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記オゾン供給手段のオゾン供給端下流の前記排気再循環通路の通路長を変更可能な通路長変更手段を具備し、該オゾン供給手段によるオゾン供給作用が行われているときにはオゾン供給作用が停止されているときに比べて該通路長を長くする請求項1から16までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 排気通路内に触媒が配置されており、前記排気再循環通路の流入端を該触媒下流の排気通路に接続した請求項1から17までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 排気通路内に排気過給機のコンプレッサが配置されており、前記排気再循環通路の流入端を該コンプレッサ上流の排気通路に接続した請求項1から18までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 排気通路内に排気過給機のコンプレッサが配置されており、前記排気再循環通路の流入端を該コンプレッサ下流の排気通路に接続した請求項1から18までのいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
