Abstract
【課題】 電池要素と電池外装体自体の形状を維持したまま、電解液の注液性と含浸性を向上させ、電池のエネルギー密度を維持したまま、特性のばらつきと工程不良を抑制した密閉型電池を提供する。
【解決手段】 正極集電体1a上に正極合剤層が形成された正極板1と、負極集電体上に負極合剤層が形成された負極板とを、セパレータ2を介し積層し、捲回した電池要素に捲き止めテープ4を貼付し、外装ケースに収納した密閉型電池において、電池要素の最外周部が正極合剤層が形成されていない正極集電体露出部からなり、最外周部の正極集電体露出部に空孔部1cを有する。

Description
正極活物質にLiCoO2を使用し、その94重量部、ポリフッ化ビニリデン3重量部、導電材としてアセチレンブラック3重量部、及びN―メチル2ピロリドン50重量部を混合してスラリーとした。このスラリーを厚さ15μmのアルミニウム箔からなる正極集電体に塗布、乾燥、圧延を実施し正極合剤層を形成し正極板を作製した。一方、負極活物質には鱗片状黒鉛を使用し、その97重量部、ポリフッ化ビニリデン3重量部、及びN―メチル2ピロリドン60重量部を混合してスラリーとした。このスラリーを厚さ10μmの銅箔からなる負極集電体に塗布、乾燥、圧延を実施し、負極合剤層を形成し負極板を作製した。
正極板の最外周の正極集電体露出部に複数のΦ1mmの円形空孔部を設けて総面積の25%の空孔部を設け、密度0.90g/cm3のポリビニリデンフルオライド多孔質膜からなる捲き止めテープを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に密閉型電池を作製、試験した。
正極板の最外周の正極集電体露出部に複数のΦ1mmの円形空孔部を設けて総面積の37%の空孔部を設け、密度1.50g/cm3のポリビニリデンフルオライド多孔質膜からなる捲き止めテープを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に密閉型電池を作製、試験した。
正極板の最外周の正極集電体露出部に複数のΦ1mmの円形空孔部を設けて総面積の30%の空孔部を設け、密度1.00g/cm3のポリビニリデンフルオライド多孔質膜からなる捲き止めテープを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に密閉型電池を作製、試験した。
正極板の最外周の正極集電体露出部に複数のΦ1mmの円形空孔部を設けて総面積の30%の空孔部を設け、密度1.80g/cm3のポリビニリデンフルオライド多孔質膜からなる捲き止めテープを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に密閉型電池を作製、試験した。
正極板の最外周の正極集電体露出部に空孔部を設けずに密度1.00g/cm3のポリビニリデンフルオライド多孔質膜からなる捲き止めテープを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に密閉型電池を作製、試験した。
正極板の最外周の正極集電体露出部に空孔部を設けずに密度0.70g/cm3のポリビニリデンフルオライド多孔質膜からなる捲き止めテープを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に密閉型電池を作製、試験した。

Claims (3)
- 正極集電体上に正極合剤層が形成された正極板と、負極集電体上に負極合剤層が形成された負極板とを、セパレータを介し積層し、捲回した電池要素に捲き止めテープを貼付し、外装ケースに収納した密閉型電池において、前記電池要素の最外周部が前記正極合剤層の形成されていない正極集電体露出部または前記負極合剤層の形成されていない負極集電体露出部からなり、最外周部の前記正極集電体露出部または前記負極集電体露出部に空孔部を有することを特徴とする密閉型電池。
- 前記捲き止めテープが多孔質フィルムからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記捲き止めテープが密度0.6g/cm3〜1.5g/cm3の多孔質フィルムからなることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の密閉型電池。
