Abstract
【解決手段】 2つのインクリメンタル層12、13とアブソリュート層14とからなり、アブソリュート層14がインクリメンタル層12、13の間に設けられ、各層に磁気情報が記録された磁気記録媒体15と、磁気記録媒体15の各層が延在された方向に対し、相対移動し、各層と対向配置される3つの磁気抵抗効果素子24、25、26からなり、各磁気抵抗効果素子24、25、26により各層の磁気情報をそれぞれ検出する磁気検出手段22とを備え、磁気検出手段22には、各磁気抵抗効果素子24、25、26に対向配置され、各磁気抵抗効果素子24、25、26に対応したバイアス磁界を発生させるバイアス磁界発生手段30が設けられる。

Claims (6)
- 2つのインクリメンタル層とアブソリュート層とからなり、該アブソリュート層が該インクリメンタル層の間に設けられ、上記各層に磁気情報が記録された磁気記録媒体と、
上記磁気記録媒体の各層が延在された方向に対し、相対移動し、上記各層と対向配置される3つの磁気抵抗効果素子からなり、該各磁気抵抗効果素子により該各層の磁気情報をそれぞれ検出する磁気検出手段とを備え、
上記磁気検出手段には、上記各磁気抵抗効果素子に対向配置され、該各磁気抵抗効果素子に対応したバイアス磁界を発生させるバイアス磁界発生手段が設けられることを特徴とする位置検出装置。 - 上記バイアス磁界発生手段は、上記磁気記録媒体の各層に対向する上記磁気検出手段の磁気抵抗効果素子に応じて厚みが異なるバイアス磁石からなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の位置検出装置。
- 上記バイアス磁界発生手段は、上記磁気記録媒体の各層に対向する上記磁気検出手段の磁気抵抗効果素子に応じて、着磁方向が異なる複数のバイアス磁石からなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の位置検出装置。
- 2つのインクリメンタル層とアブソリュート層とからなり、該アブソリュート層が該インクリメンタル層の間に設けられ、上記各層に磁気情報が記録された磁気記録媒体と、該磁気記録媒体の各層が延在された方向に対し、相対移動し、該各層と対向配置される3つの磁気抵抗効果素子からなり、該磁気抵抗効果素子により該各層の磁気情報をそれぞれ検出する磁気検出手段とを有する位置検出装置に適用されるバイアス磁界発生装置において、
上記磁気検出手段の各磁気抵抗効果素子に対向配置され、該各磁気抵抗効果素子に対応したバイアス磁界を発生させるバイアス磁界発生手段を備えることを特徴とするバイアス磁界発生装置。 - 上記バイアス磁界発生手段は、上記磁気記録媒体の各層に対向する上記磁気検出手段の磁気抵抗効果素子に応じて厚みが異なるバイアス磁石からなることを特徴とする請求項4記載のバイアス磁界発生装置。
- 上記バイアス磁界発生手段は、上記磁気記録媒体の各層に対向する上記磁気検出手段の磁気抵抗効果素子に応じて、着磁方向が異なる複数のバイアス磁石からなることを特徴とする請求項4記載のバイアス磁界発生装置。
