Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の有機デバイスは、ポリマーからなる基板1を備え、基板1上にポリマー層2が接着された構成になっている。本発明の有機デバイスでは、基板1におけるポリマー層2との接着面1aの結晶化度が、基板1における内部の結晶化度よりも小さくなっているので、基板1とポリマー層2との密着性を向上させることが可能になる。

Description
本願発明を適用可能な有機デバイスとしては、ポリマー層が光学的機能を有する光機能層である有機デバイスが好ましい。光機能層としては、例えば、光導波路、回折素子、または電子ペーパー等が挙げられる。
本有機デバイスは、光機能層としての光導波路がポリマーからなる基板に接着された有機デバイスであってもよい。まず、ここで、光導波路及び光導波路を備えた光モジュールについて、以下に説明する。
図10は、ポリマー層としての光導波路20を備えた本有機デバイスの概略構成を示し、図10(a)は光伝送方向に対し垂直な面における断面図であり、図10(b)は光伝送方向に平行な面における断面図である。光導波路20は、光伝送方向を軸とする柱状形状のコア部20aと、コア部20a周囲を囲むように設けられたクラッド部20bとを備えた構成となっている。コア部20aおよびクラッド部20bは透光性を有する材料によって構成されているとともに、コア部20aの屈折率は、クラッド部20bの屈折率よりも高くなっている。コア部20aそれぞれに入射した光信号は、コア部20a内部で全反射を繰り返すことによって光伝送方向に伝送される。尚、図10(a)及び(b)においては、光導波路20の端部付近において、光導波路20の長手方向(光軸方向)をX軸方向、基板1の接着面1aの法線方向をY軸方向とする。
光導波路の製造方法としては、例えば以下の2つの製造方法が挙げられる。本願発明は、この4つの製造方法全てに適用可能である。以下、光導波路としての本有機デバイスの製造方法について、具体的に説明する。
図13は、光導波路20を備えた光モジュール100の概略構成を示している。同図に示すように、光モジュール100は、光送信処理部102、光受信処理部103、および光導波路20を備えている。
光モジュール100は、例えば以下のような応用例に適用することが可能である。
図18(a)・(b)は、有機発光素子として適用した本有機デバイスの概略構成を示す断面図である。図18(a)に示されるように、有機発光素子110は、基板1上に導電性ポリマーから構成されるポリマー層111、発光層112がこの順に積層された積層構造を備えている。また、図18(b)に示されるように、有機発光素子110は、基板1上にバッファー樹脂層113、電極層114、発光層112がこの順に積層した積層構造を備えている。本願発明を適用した有機発光素子においては、図18(a)・(b)に示された積層構造における基板1の接着面1aに低結晶化処理が施されている。
図20は、有機太陽電池として適用した本有機デバイスの概略構成を示す断面図である。同図に示されるように、有機太陽電池130は、対向する2つの基板1・1’を備え、2つの基板1・1’により電解液層132が狭持された構成になっている。電解液層132を構成する電解液には、酸化チタン(TiO2)や色素が含まれている。
図21は、ポリマー層としてマイクロレンズとして適用した本有機デバイスの概略構成を示す断面図である。同図に示されるように、本有機デバイスは、基板1に、ポリマー層としてのマイクロレンズ141が形成された構成になっている。なお、基板1におけるマイクロレンズ141との接着面1aには、低結晶化処理が施されている。
図22は、プリント配線基板として適用した本有機デバイスの概略構成を示す断面図である。同図に示されるように、プリント配線基板150は、基板1上に、導電性ポリマーからなる配線層151がプリントされた構成になっている。基板1における配線層151との接着面1aには、上記の低結晶化処理が施されている。

Claims (11)
- ポリマーからなる基板を備え、該基板上にポリマー層が接着された有機デバイスであって、
上記基板におけるポリマー層との接着面の結晶化度が、基板における内部の結晶化度よりも小さくなっていることを特徴とする有機デバイス。 - 上記基板におけるポリマー層との接着面の結晶化度が、基板における接着面と反対側の裏面の結晶化度よりも小さくなっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機デバイス。
- 上記ポリマー層が光学的機能を有する光機能層であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の有機デバイス。
- 上記ポリマー層が、光導波路であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の有機デバイス。
- 上記基板と上記ポリマー層との間に中間層が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の有機デバイス。
- 上記基板における、ポリマー層または中間層との接着面にプライマー処理が施されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載の有機デバイス。
- ポリマーからなる基板を備え、該基板上にポリマー層が接着された有機デバイスの製造方法であって、
上記基板におけるポリマー層との接着面に、基板における内部の結晶化度よりも結晶化度を低くする低結晶化処理を施す低結晶化工程を含むことを特徴する有機デバイスの製造方法。 - 上記低結晶化工程は、
上記基板を結晶化温度以上に加熱する加熱段階と、
上記加熱段階後に、上記基板におけるポリマー層との接着面を冷却する冷却段階とを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機デバイスの製造方法。 - 上記加熱段階にて、上記基板におけるポリマー層との接着面及びその裏面の両面を結晶化温度以上に加熱し、上記冷却段階にて、上記両面を急冷することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の有機デバイスの製造方法。
- 上記加熱段階にて、上記基板におけるポリマー層との接着面及びその裏面のうち少なく裏面を結晶化温度以上に加熱し、上記冷却段階にて、接着面のみを急冷することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の有機デバイスの製造方法。
- 請求項7〜10の何れか1項に記載の有機デバイスの製造方法により製造されたことを特徴とする有機デバイス。
