・λについては、1.1≦λ≦1.5であることは正しいが、ここで、λは、それぞれmol/hの、酸化すべきセリウム化合物と水素含有可燃ガスとの総和により除した、一次空気と、二次空気と、酸素を含有する場合には噴霧器ガスとの中に含まれる酸素の割合の総和の商から計算される、
・噴霧器ユニットから反応室中への液滴の放出速度は、500m/sよりも大きい、かつ
・反応室中の反応混合物の速度は2m/sよりも大きい。
セリアによる例
比表面積をDIN 66131に従って決定し、これは参照により本明細書に取り込まれる。
2−エチルヘキサン酸(51質量%)中のセリウム(III)2−エチルヘキサノアート(49質量%)の溶液1200g/hを、空気(5m3/h)を用いて、0.8mmの直径を有するノズルを通じて反応室中へ噴霧する。ここで、水素(10m3/h)及び一次空気(10m3/h)からなる酸水素ガス火炎が燃焼しており、この火炎中でエーロゾルが反応される。そのうえ、二次空気20m3/hを反応室中へ導入する。150mmの長さ及び15mmの直径を有し、反応混合物が通過するリストリクターを、反応室中で火炎の下方に取り付ける。冷却後に、酸化セリウム粉末を、ガス状物質から、フィルターを用いて分離する。
例2〜4を、例1と同じ方法で実施し;使用される量及び他のプロセスパラメーターは、第1表から取り出されることができる。例5において、リストリクターを使用せず、かつ硝酸セリウム(III)をセリウム(III)2−エチルヘキサノアートの代わりに使用する。

c)Ce(III)2−エチルヘキサノアートの代わりに硝酸セリウム(III)。
析出沈殿法を、Au/CeO2及びAu/CexMn1-xO2触媒を製造するために使用した。室温でのCO酸化反応及び多様な温度での水素流中での選択的CO酸化反応を、触媒の活性を試験するために使用した。
2種類の担体をこの研究において使用し、CeO2及びCe−MnO2−CeO2はDegussa AG製であった。Ce1-xMnxO2担体を含浸法により製造した。Mn(NO3)2を、採取したCeO2と等体積の蒸留水中へ添加した。この溶液を、激しく粉砕しながらCeO2粉末中へ滴加した。2時間の400℃で2時間のか焼後に、Ce1-xMnxO2を得ることができた。試料C−(10×x)Mnは、担体がCe1-xMnxO2であることを意味する。例えば、C−1Mnは、担体がCe0.9Mn0.1O2であることを意味する。
金触媒の製造
HAuCl4溶液(蒸留水1l中1g)を、激しく撹拌しながら、懸濁された担体を含有する溶液中へ10ml/minの速度で添加し、溶液の沈殿温度を60〜70℃で維持した。アンモニア溶液を、pH値を8に調節するために使用した。2時間の熟成後に、沈殿物をろ過し、Cl-がAgNO3溶液で検出されなくなるまで熱水で洗浄し、ついで80℃で一晩乾燥させた。このケーキを120及び180℃で数時間か焼して、金触媒が得られた。
BET表面積
マンガンを含有する担体の表面積をASAP 2010により測定した。結果は第1表に列記されている。マンガンの添加はCeO2の表面積を減少させた。
図1は、Adnano Ceria 90上で異なる温度でか焼された金触媒のXRDパターンを示す。
図4は、Adnano Ceria 90上に担持され、かつそれぞれ120及び180℃でか焼された金触媒の金のTEM画像及び粒度分布を示す。金の粒度が約2〜4nmであり、かつセリア担体の粒度が約10〜20nmであることが見出された。Au粒度と金のか焼温度との間に明らかな関係は見出されなかった。
XPS分析を、この研究における金の酸化状態を決定するために使用した。
CO酸化
触媒活性を、固定床連続流通式反応器を用いて測定した。試料を、分級塔(class column)中へ入れ、前処理をこの試験において適用しなかった。触媒0.05cm3を使用した。CO 1000ppm、O2 2%及び他にN2を含有している反応物ガスを、50cc/minの流量で反応器へ入れた。流量を質量流量制御装置により監視した。反応を室温(25℃)で行った。COセンサを、出口CO濃度を検出するために使用した。CO転化率を、次の等式を用いて計算した:
触媒活性を、下向きの、触媒0.1cm3を有するガラスの固定床連続流通式反応器中で測定した。CO 1.33%、O2 1.33%、H2 65.33%及び残分のHeを含有する反応物ガスを、50cc/minの流量で反応器中へ導いた。この反応器を、調整された炉(加熱速度:1℃/min)を用いて加熱し、かつ温度を、触媒床の内側に入れた熱電対により測定した。出口ガスを、熱伝導度検出器を備えたガスクロマトグラフィーにより分析した。GCカラムはMS-5Aであった。校正を、既知の濃度の成分を含有する標準ガスを用いて行った。CO転化率及び選択率を次のようにして計算した:
CO酸化
図10は、Adnano Ceria 90上に担持され、かつそれぞれ120及び180℃でか焼された金触媒でのCO酸化反応の結果を示す。これらの双方とも優れた活性を示した。180℃でか焼された触媒は、室温でCOを完全に除去することができた。120℃でか焼された金触媒もまた、95%を上回るCOを除去することができた。この結果は、金属性の金が、室温でのCO酸化について酸化性の金よりも良好であり、このことはHaruta(1997、2004)及びGrisel(2002)により報告された結果と一致することを意味する。
図11は、Adnano Ceria 90上に担持され、かつそれぞれ120及び180℃でか焼された金触媒の触媒活性を示す。反応温度が50℃を下回った場合に、180℃でか焼された触媒が、120℃でか焼されたものよりも活性であったことは興味深い。対照的に、反応温度が50℃を上回った場合に、120℃でか焼された触媒がより活性であった。この研究において酸素が、どの触媒が使用されたとしても、50℃よりも高い温度で完全に消費されたことに注目されるべきである。このことは、水素が、金属性の金の存在下でより高い温度で酸素と反応することがより容易になることを示唆する。
Claims (7)
- 金触媒であって、この金がセリア上に担持されていることを特徴とする、金触媒。
- セリアが、
・20〜200m2/gの比表面積、
・5〜20nmの平均一次粒径、及び
・20〜100nmの平均投影凝集径
で特徴付けられる一次粒子の凝集物の形の多結晶質酸化セリウム粉末である、請求項1記載の金触媒。 - セリアがCe1-xMnxO2担体である、請求項1又は2記載の金触媒。
- Ce1-xMnxO2担体が、Ce:Mn=10:1〜1:1の比で元素を含有する、請求項3記載の金触媒。
- 含浸法により、Mn塩の溶液をCeO2粉末に添加し、含浸されたCeO2粉末をついでか焼する、請求項3又は4記載の担体を製造する方法。
- 金塩の溶液を、懸濁された担体を含有する溶液に添加し、それにより温度を60〜70℃で維持し、熟成時間後に沈殿物をろ過し、かつCl-イオンが検出されなくなるまで洗浄し、乾燥させ、ついでか焼する、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の金触媒を製造する方法。
- H2流中のCOの酸化のための、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の金触媒の使用。
