Abstract
Description
Claims (24)
- 医療用流体の流れを調整に用いる自動遮断弁であって、
上流側端部、下流側端部、及び該下流側端部に配置される出口オリフィスを有する容器と、
前記容器内に配置されると共に非磁性誘電材料で形成される停止部材と、
前記容器の下流側端部において前記出口オリフィス近傍に配置されると共に、非磁性誘電材料で形成される弁座と
を備え、前記停止部材及び弁座のうち少なくとも一方は他方を吸引する電場を生じさせ、該電場は、前記容器を通る前記医療用流体の流れを遮断するために、前記停止部材及び弁座を互いに接触するように移動させる傾向があることを特徴とする自動遮断弁。 - 前記停止部材は浮力を有し、前記電場による前記停止部材及び弁座を互いに引き付ける吸引力は、前記医療用流体の前記容器内における残量が所定の高さに流体表面が位置する量のときに、前記停止部材の浮力を上回るように選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材及び弁座の両方が互いを吸引する電場を生じさせ、該電場は、前記停止部材及び弁座を互いに接触するように移動させる傾向があることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記電場の吸引力は、前記停止部材及び弁座のうち少なくとも一方が電荷を含む結果として発生することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記電荷は、前記停止部材及び弁座のうち少なくとも一方の大部分に永久的に固定されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記電場は、前記停止部材が第1電荷を含み、且つ前記弁座が第2電荷を含むことの結果として発生し、前記第1及び第2電荷は反対の電荷であり、互いを吸引することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記第1及び第2電荷の両方が、それぞれ前記停止部材及び弁座の大部分に永久的に固定されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記電荷を生じさせる材料は、前記容器に配置される医療用流体と直接的に接触しないように配置されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材及び弁座のうち電場を生じさせる前記少なくとも一方が、エレクトレットを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材及び前記弁座の両方がエレクトレットを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材及び弁座のうち電場を生じさせる前記少なくとも一方が、強誘電性高分子を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材が前記容器に収容される前記流体の密度よりも小さな密度を有することにより、停止部材が容器内の医療用流体の流体表面で浮遊することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材及び弁座が非極性高分子を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記第1電荷は、前記停止部材及び弁座のうち電荷を含む前記少なくとも一方の表面に永久的に固定されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記第1及び第2電荷は、それぞれ前記停止部材及び弁座の表面に永久的に固定されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記容器の下流側端部は、前記停止部材を前記弁座の中心に向けて案内するようにテーパが付けられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材が中空状であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 前記停止部材は不活性ガスを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の自動遮断弁。
- 容器からの医療用流体の流れを自動的に遮断する方法であって、前記容器は、上流側端部と、出口オリフィスを備えた下流側端部と、該下流側端部に位置する弁座と、前記容器内に配置されるフロートとを有し、該フロートが、前記医療用流体で浮遊するに充分な浮力を有し、且つ前記弁座と完全に係合したときに前記出口オリフィスを通る流れを停止するように選択された寸法を有する、前記方法において、
前記フロート及び弁座のうち少なくとも一方から電場を生じさせる工程と、
前記フロート及び弁座の他方を、電場によって吸引される誘電材料から形成する工程と
を含み、前記フロート及び弁座は、前記電場によって互いに引き付けられると共に、互いと完全に係合する傾向を有することにより、前記出口オリフィスを通る流れを停止させることを特徴とする流れ自動遮断方法。 - 前記電場を生じさせる工程は、前記医療用流体が所定量だけ前記容器内に残るときに、前記フロートが前記弁座と完全に係合し、且つ前記出口オリフィスを通る流れを停止させるように、前記医療用流体中の前記フロートの浮力を上回る吸引力を前記フロート及び弁座間に生じさせる工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の流れ自動遮断方法。
- 前記フロート及び弁座のうち少なくとも一方の大部分に前記電荷を永久的に固定する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の流れ自動遮断方法。
- 前記フロート及び弁座の他方が、電場によって吸引される非極性高分子で形成されることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の流れ自動遮断方法。
- 前記フロート及び弁座のうち少なくとも一方から電場を生じさせる工程は、該少なくとも一方をエレクトレットから形成する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の流れ自動遮断方法。
- 前記フロート及び弁座のうち少なくとも一方から電場を生じさせる工程は、該少なくとも一方を強誘電性高分子から形成する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の流れ自動遮断方法。
