Claims (43)

  1. 基準周波数信号を使用した通信受信機と共に使用する基準周波数補正システムであって、
    前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差と、前記基準周波数信号の一つまたは複数の周波数特性と、将来の時点の前記基準周波数信号における前記周波数誤差の推定値を特定するように構成された周波数誤差ブロックと、
    前記基準周波数信号における前記周波数誤差の前記推定値を補償するために前記基準周波数信号の動作周波数を調整するように構成された周波数および時間制御ブロックを備え
    前記周波数誤差ブロックが、前記通信受信機により受信された通信信号の信号品質を特定し、前記特定した周波数特性を改善するために前記信号品質の情報を利用するように構成されるシステム。
  2. 前記基準周波数信号の前記周波数誤差が、前記基準周波数信号を生成する基準周波数発振器が動作する測定された周囲温度に基づいて周波数誤差を推定することにより取得される、請求項1のシステム。
  3. 前記基準周波数信号の前記周波数誤差が、受信された通信信号と前記基準周波数信号との差分を特定する位相ロックループを利用して取得される、請求項1のシステム。
  4. 前記基準周波数信号の前記周波数誤差が、受信された通信信号と前記基準周波数信号との差分を特定する自動周波数制御回路を利用して取得される、請求項1のシステム。
  5. 前記周波数特性が、周波数誤差、前記周波数誤差の変化率および周波数ジャークのうちの少なくとも一つを備える、請求項1から4のいずれか一項のシステム。
  6. 前記基準周波数信号が、前記通信受信機に専用の基準周波数発生器を利用して取得される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項のシステム。
  7. 前記基準周波数信号が、前記通信受信機と第2の通信受信機により共有される基準周波数発生器を利用して取得される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項のシステム。
  8. 前記周波数誤差ブロックが、定期的な間隔で周波数誤差を特定するように構成される、請求項1から7のいずれか一項のシステム。
  9. 前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定するように構成された前記周波数誤差ブロックが、前記周波数誤差ブロックの外部のソースから周波数誤差の情報を受信するように構成される、請求項1から8のいずれか一項のシステム。
  10. 前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定するように構成された前記周波数誤差ブロックが、少なくとも部分的に、前記基準周波数信号の前記周波数誤差を計算するように構成される、請求項1から9のいずれか一項のシステム。
  11. 前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定するように構成された前記周波数誤差ブロックが、特定した周波数の推定値と以前の周波数の推定値とを比較し、前記特定した周波数の推定値と前記以前の周波数の推定値との差分を特定するように構成される、請求項1から10のいずれか一項のシステム。
  12. 前記周波数誤差ブロックが、適応フィルタとして実現される、請求項1から11のいずれか一項のシステム。
  13. 前記周波数誤差ブロックが、カルマンフィルタとして実現される、請求項1から11のいずれか一項のシステム。
  14. 前記周波数誤差ブロックが、さらに入力信号から広帯域雑音をフィルタリングするように構成される、請求項1から13のいずれか一項のシステム。
  15. 前記時間および周波数ブロックが、プロセッサを使用して実現される、請求項1から14のいずれか一項のシステム。
  16. 前記プロセッサが、ディジタル信号プロセッサを使用して実現される、請求項15のシステム。
  17. 支援された位置特定通信装置(ALCD)であって、
    a.基準周波数信号を提供する基準周波数発振器と、
    b.一つまたは複数の通信装置との無線周波数通信を提供する通信部と、
    c.一つまたは複数の受信された無線周波数信号に基づいて、前記ALCDの位置の情報を特定するように構成された位置特定部と、
    d.前記位置特定部により受信された前記一つまたは複数の無線周波数信号を用いて、前記基準周波数信号を補正するように構成された請求項1から16のいずれか一項に対応する基準周波数補正システムを備えるALCD。
  18. 前記通信部が、無線通信装置を備える、請求項17ALCD
  19. 前記無線通信装置が、セルラー電話である、請求項18ALCD
  20. 前記位置特定部が、GPS受信機を備える、請求項17から19のいずれか一項ALCD
  21. 前記基準周波数信号が、前記位置特定部に専用の基準周波数発生器を利用して取得される、請求項17から20のいずれか一項ALCD
  22. 前記基準周波数信号が、前記ALCDの前記位置特定部と前記通信部のうちの少なくとも一つにより利用される基準周波数発生器を利用して取得される、請求項17から20のいずれか一項ALCD
  23. 前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定するように構成された前記周波数誤差ブロックが、前記ALCDの前記通信部から周波数誤差の情報を受信するように構成される、請求項17から22のいずれか一項ALCD
  24. 前記受信される周波数誤差の情報は、ハードウェア信号およびソフトウェアワードのうちの少なくとも一つである、請求項23ALCD
  25. 請求項15のプロセッサを備えており、
    そのプロセッサが前記通信部および前記位置特定部のうちの少なくとも一つにより利用される、請求項17から24のいずれか一項ALCD
  26. 基準周波数信号を使用する受信機において無線信号を受信する方法であって、
    前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定する工程と、
    前記基準周波数信号の一つまたは複数の周波数特性を特定する工程と、
    将来の時点の基準周波数信号における前記周波数誤差の推定値を特定する工程と、
    前記基準周波数信号における前記周波数誤差の前記推定値を補償するために前記基準周波数信号の動作周波数を調整する工程と、
    前記受信機により受信される通信信号の信号品質を特定する工程と、
    前記特定した周波数特性を改善するために前記信号品質の情報を利用する工程、
    を備える方法。
  27. 前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定する前記工程が、前記基準周波数信号を生成する基準周波数発振器が動作する測定された周囲温度に基づいて周波数誤差を推定する工程を備える、請求項26の方法。
  28. 前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定する前記工程が、受信された通信信号と前記基準周波数信号との差分を特定する位相ロックループを利用する工程を備える、請求項26の方法。
  29. 前記基準周波数信号の周波数誤差を特定する前記工程が、受信された通信信号と前記基準周波数信号との差分を特定する自動周波数制御回路を利用する工程を備える、請求項26の方法。
  30. 前記周波数特性が、周波数誤差、前記周波数誤差の変化率および周波数ジャークのうちの少なくとも一つを備える、請求項26から29のいずれか一項の方法。
  31. 前記通信受信機に専用の基準周波数発生器を利用して前記基準周波数信号を生成する工程をさらに備える、請求項26から30のいずれか一項の方法。
  32. 前記通信受信機と第2の通信受信機により共有される基準周波数発生器を利用して前記基準周波数信号を生成する工程をさらに備える、請求項26から30のいずれか一項の方法。
  33. 前記周波数誤差を特定する前記工程が、さらに定期的な間隔で前記周波数誤差を特定する工程を備える、請求項26から32のいずれか一項の方法。
  34. 前記周波数誤差を特定する前記工程が、さらに前記周波数誤差ブロックの外部のソースから周波数誤差の情報を受信する工程を備える、請求項26から33のいずれか一項の方法。
  35. 前記周波数誤差を特定する前記工程が、さらに、少なくとも部分的に、前記基準周波数信号の前記周波数誤差を計算する工程を備える、請求項26から34のいずれか一項の方法。
  36. 特定した周波数の推定値と以前の周波数の推定値とを比較して、前記特定した周波数の推定値と前記以前の周波数の推定値との差分を特定する工程をさらに備える、請求項26から35のいずれか一項の方法。
  37. 前記周波数誤差を特定するように構成された周波数誤差ブロックを、前記周波数の推定値における予想雑音に基づいてチューニングする工程をさらに備える、請求項26から36のいずれか一項の方法。
  38. 前記周波数誤差を特定するように構成された周波数誤差ブロックを、前記通信装置により受信された信号品質に基づいてチューニングする工程をさらに備える、請求項26から37のいずれか一項の方法。
  39. 経時的な位相加速度、周波数加速度、位相ジャークおよび周波数ジャークのうちの少なくとも一つを特定する工程をさらに備える、請求項26から38のいずれか一項の方法。
  40. 前記基準周波数信号をフィルタリングする工程をさらに備える、請求項26から39のいずれか一項の方法。
  41. プロセッサにより利用される一つまたは複数のレジスタまたは他の場所に前記周波数特性を格納する工程をさらに備える、請求項26から40のいずれか一項の方法。
  42. 受信された信号の強度、前記ループ内の位相雑音、または前記受信信号の品質を示すために利用可能な他の特性を使用して、信号品質の測定値を特定する工程をさらに備える、請求項26から41のいずれか一項の方法。
  43. 前記周波数誤差を特定する際に適用されるフィルタリングのレベルを特定するために、前記信号品質の測定値を使用する工程をさらに備える、請求項42の方法。
