Abstract

Description
ある。代替的に、超音波、X線、X線透視装置、コンピュータ断層撮影法、陽電子放射断層撮影法といった、他の画像診断法を使用して、標的組織6の画像を生成してもよい。画像は、フィルム画像又はデジタル画像のどちらでもよい。
Claims (8)
- 複数のトランスデューサ素子を有する超音波トランスデューサ装置と、
前記トランスデューサ素子に接続された駆動回路と、
前記駆動回路に接続された駆動信号制御装置と、
を具える集束超音波システムであって、
前記駆動信号制御装置が、前記トランスデューサ素子から超音波エネルギ通路を通って標的組織に向けて放出される音響エネルギを制御するよう構成され、
前記標的組織におけるエネルギ強度が、所定の治療レベル又はそれ以上で、一方、前記標的組織の外の前記超音波エネルギ放出通路内の保護されるべき組織におけるエネルギ強度が、所定の安全レベル又はそれ以下であることを特徴とする集束超音波システム。 - 前記所定の治療レベル及び前記所定の安全レベルのうちのいずれか一方又は双方が、温度閾値又は加熱量閾値を具えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の集束超音波システム。
- 前記所定の治療レベル及び前記所定の安全レベルのうちのいずれか一方又は双方が、組織の生存能力を評価するのに使用可能な組織パラメータを具えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の集束超音波システム。
- 前記駆動信号制御装置が、1以上の前記トランスデューサ素子を制御して、前記超音波エネルギ通路内の前記保護されるべき組織に制限されたエネルギ密度を生成することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の集束超音波システム。
- 前記駆動信号制御装置が、1以上の前記トランスデューサ素子を制御して、前記超音波エネルギ通路内の前記保護される組織を保護するための大きさ及び形状を有するビーム口径を出力することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の集束超音波システム。
- 前記駆動信号制御装置が、1以上の前記トランスデューサ素子を作動又は非作動させて、超音波エネルギを放出中に前記超音波エネルギ通路内の前記保護されるべき組織を保護することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の集束超音波システム。
- 前記駆動信号制御装置が、1以上の前記トランスデューサ素子に、1以上の他の前記トランスデューサ素子により放出される音響エネルギレベルよりも低いエネルギレベルで音響エネルギを放出させて、超音波エネルギを放出中に前記超音波エネルギ通路内の前記保護されるべき組織を保護することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の集束超音波システム。
- さらに、1以上の前記トランスデューサ素子に接続された位置決め装置を具えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の集束超音波システム。
