Abstract
Description
本発明は、自動車用グレージングパネルのためのインク系を提供する。この系は、合成樹脂を有し、プラスチック基材上に印刷されるインクを含む。この合成樹脂は、ポリカーボネート樹脂、又はポリエステル樹脂、又はこれらの混合物を含む。この系は、インク及びプラスチック基材上に適用されるハードコートを更に含む。このハードコートは、第1溶媒及び第2溶媒を含む混合溶媒を含み、但し、第1溶媒は水であり、ハードコートの約10重量パーセント超を構成する。第2溶媒は、グリコールエーテル、ケトン、アルコール、及び酢酸エステルからなる群より選択される。このインクは、基材の表面への付着に適応性があり、ハードコートと適合性があるように調整可能である。

浸水試験
ポリカーボネート基材に、水性アクリル系下塗り(Exatec(登録商標)SHP 9X)と適合性があると分かった種々のインク(表3参照)をスクリーン印刷した。それぞれのインクは、製造者の技術的データシートに従って混合及び調製した。いずれの場合も、ポリカーボネート基材上へのこのインクのスクリーン印刷により、インクが硬化した後約8マイクロメートルの「乾燥時」のインク厚さがもたらされた。各インク印刷物は、製造者の推奨する条件に従って乾燥又は硬化した。
ポリカーボネート(PG)とポリエステル(PE)比
ポリカーボネートインクをポリエステルインクと種々の比率でブレンドすることによって調製した、ポリカーボネート樹脂とポリエステル樹脂の組合せを用いて、いくつかの単一成分インクを配合した。本発明者らは、これらの2種の樹脂の組合せを含むインクは、カタプラズマ試験プロトコルに合格する最良の可能性を有するはずであると考える。
PE:PCブレンドに対する実験計画
例2に記載の3種のインクブレンド(インク番号20〜22)を、要因実験計画法(DOE)アプローチを用いて最適化した。この実験法アプローチにより、それぞれのブレンドしたインクに対する触媒重量パーセント、インク硬化温度及びインク硬化時間の、工程及び配合の変数を評価した。各ブレンドしたインクを、表VIに記載の触媒重量パーセントを用いて、例2に記載の手順に従って調製した。

- 自動車用グレージングのためのインク系であって、
プラスチック基材上に印刷されるインクであって、該インクは合成樹脂を含み、該合成樹脂はポリカーボネート樹脂、又はポリエステル樹脂、又はこれらの混合物を含むインク、及び
インク上に適用されるハードコートであって、該ハードコートは第1溶媒と第2溶媒とを含む混合溶媒を含み、該第1溶媒は水であってハードコートの約10重量パーセント超を構成し、該第2溶媒はグリコールエーテル、ケトン、アルコール、及び酢酸エステルからなる群より選択されるハードコート
を含み、
該インクは前記基材の表面への付着に適応性があり、ハードコートと適合性がある
インク系。 - 合成樹脂が、前記基材の表面への付着性を維持しながら、ハードコートと適合性があるように、合成樹脂架橋のためのヒドロキシル官能基及びカルボキシル官能基のうちの1つを含む、請求項1に記載の系。

- 混合溶媒が、少なくとも約50重量パーセントの水を含む、請求項1に記載の系。
- 混合溶媒が、少なくとも約85重量パーセントの水を含む、請求項1に記載の系。
- インクが、約4〜20マイクロメートルの厚さを有している、請求項1に記載の系。
- インクが、約5〜8マイクロメートルの厚さを有している、請求項1に記載の系。
- ポリエステル樹脂が、約5〜34重量パーセントのポリエステルインクを含み、ポリカーボネート樹脂が、約1〜13重量パーセントのポリカーボネートインクを含む、請求項1に記載の系。
- ポリエステルインクとポリカーボネートインクが、約50:50を超える重量比を有する、請求項1に記載の系。
- ポリエステルインクとポリカーボネートインクが、約80:20の重量比を有する、請求項1に記載の系。
