製造例1
カルダノール(3−[8(Z),11(Z),14−ペンタデカトリエニル]フェノール 31重量%、3−[8(Z),11(Z)−ペンタデカジエニル]フェノール 20重量%、3−[8(Z)−ペンタデセニル]フェノール 45重量%の混合物。商品名;Distilled
Cashew Nut Shell Liquid(インド、SATYA CASHEW CHEMICALS社製。以下同様)を1000mlオートクレーブに263g及び水酸化カリウム0.6gを仕込み、系内を窒素置換した後120℃に昇温し、次いで系内を50mmHgの減圧にして1時間減圧脱水した。減圧脱水終了後、系内を窒素により常圧に戻し、150℃に昇温した後、この温度を保ちながらエチレンオキサイド385gをゲージ圧力0.2〜0.4MPaの加圧下で2時間かけて反応系内に導入しカルダノールのエトキシ化反応を行った。エチレンオキサイド送入終了後、さらに同温度で1時間熟成を行い、冷却後酢酸0.38gで中和してカルダノールエチレンオキサイド付加物636gを得た。得られたカルダノールエチレンオキサイド付加物の、カルダノールに対するエチレンオキサイドの平均の付加モル数(以下、単にエチレンオキサイド付加モル数と略称する)は10.0である。
製造例1においてエチレンオキサイドの代わりにエチレンオキサイド/プロピレンオキサイド(1/1モル比)混合物357gを反応させた以外は製造例1と同様に反応を行いカルダノールエチレンオキサイド/プロピレンオキサイド付加物610gを得た。エチレンオキサイドおよびプロピレンオキサイド付加モル数はともに4.0であり、2種類のアルキレンオキサイドの付加の形態はランダム付加であった。
洗濯化学協会製、湿式人工汚染布(反射率35±5%)を使用し、洗浄力試験機Terg−O−Tometerを用いて洗浄力を評価した。製造例1で合成したカルダノールエチレンオキサイド付加物(エチレンオキサイド付加モル数10.0)の0.25重量%水溶液に汚染布を入れ、30℃、120rpmで10分間洗浄した。洗浄終了後すすぎを30℃、120rpmで3分間を2回行った。試験布を風乾後アイロン掛けし、測色色差計を用いて布の表面反射率を測定し、次式によって洗浄効率(D)を求めた。ここでRw、Rs、Roはそれぞれ洗浄布、汚染布、原白布の表面反射率である。

製造例2で合成したカルダノールエチレンオキサイド/プロピレンオキサイド付加物(エチレンオキサイド、プロピレンオキサイド付加モル数ともに4.0)についても同様に洗浄試験を実施した。
洗浄効率はそれぞれ80%と78%であり良好な洗浄性能を示した。
実施例1においてカルダノールエチレンオキサイド付加物の代わりにノニルフェノールエチレンオキサイド付加物(エチレンオキサイド付加モル数10.0)を用いた以外はすべて実施例1と同様に洗浄力試験を行った。洗浄効率は78%であった。
これらの水溶液の洗浄力を、サラダ油を塗布した皿の洗浄状態で評価した。その結果を表1に示した。
〔洗浄力評価方法〕;西洋皿にサラダ油を0.5g/20cm2の割合で塗布したものを予め調製しておき、これを試料水溶液(20℃)に15分間浸漬した。水溶液から皿を引き上げた直後の水のはじき具合を、肉眼で判定した。
判定基準:○‥‥サラダ油が完全に落ちている
△‥‥サラダ油がわずかに残っている
×‥‥サラダ油が大分残っている
供試洗剤はポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル硫酸塩、製造例で合成したカルダノールエチレンオキサイド/プロピレンオキサイド付加物、エタノール、水を16:3:6:75の重量比で混合したものを用い、この供試洗剤1.5gを使用水に溶かし1リットルにし、試料水溶液として洗浄試験に用いた。同様に比較例1のノニルフェノールエチレンオキサイド付加物についても試料水溶液を作製し洗浄試験を行った。
本発明の洗浄剤について、下記の方法で起泡力試験を行った。結果を表1に示す。
