Abstract
【解決手段】回転カム12とバルブ15との間に揺動可能に介装されたロッカアーム20を操作することによりバルブの開閉量を変更する可変動弁機構10において、ロッカアームは、入力アーム21と出力アーム30とを含み構成され、入力アームと出力アームとが、入力ローラ26を軸支するローラ軸25により相対揺動可能に組み合わされ、ロッカアームの基端部に、相対揺動が不能となるように入力アームと出力アームとを相互に連結した連結状態とその連結を解除した連結解除状態との間で切替を行う切替機構が設けられ、この切替により、バルブの開閉量を変更する。

Description
本可変動弁機構10は、エンジンのクランク軸(図示略)により回転させられるカムシャフト11に設けられている回転カム12と、回転カム12の回転に従い揺動してバルブ15を開閉しているロッカアーム20と、ロッカアーム20によるバルブ15の開閉量を断続的に変更している切替機構40とを含んでいる。
(a)出力アーム30と入力アーム21とが相対揺動可能になるよう支持する軸をローラ軸25とすることで軸の数を減らせ、ロッカアーム20の質量を小さくできる。
(b)切替機構40をロッカアーム20の基端部に設け、ロッカアーム20の先端部にバルブ15が当接し、ロッカアーム20の長さ方向の中間部に入力ローラ26を設けることで、入力アーム21の長さが短くなり、ロッカアーム20の質量を小さくできる。
(c)入力アーム21及び出力アーム30を共に板状部材22、31を用いてアームを構成すること、ロッカアーム20の構造を簡便にでき、かつ、製造コストの低減が図れる。
(d)バルブ15を押圧するロッド35を長さの異なるものに変更することで、駆動するバルブ15のバルブピッチが異なるエンジンに対しても容易に対応することができる。
具体的には、支点軸61の両端面に凹設されているピン穴62が互いに貫通している貫通孔状であるのと、ピン穴62から連結ピン65が抜脱されるのを防ぐための部材及び連結ピン65がピン穴62内へ過度に挿入されるのを防ぐための部材がCリング67である。なお、他の部位については、実施例1と同じであることから、以下実施例1と異なる部位について説明する。
(e)ピン穴62を貫通孔状にし、ピン穴62から連結ピン65が抜脱されるのを防ぐための部材をCリング67等にすることで、切替機構60の製造が容易になり、製造コストの低減が図れる。

Claims (2)
- 回転カムとバルブとの間に揺動可能に介装されたロッカアームを操作することにより前記バルブの開閉量を変更する可変動弁機構において、
前記ロッカアームは、前記回転カムに当接する入力ローラを備えた入力アームと、前記バルブに当接する出力アームとを含み構成され、
前記入力アームと前記出力アームとが、前記入力ローラを軸支するローラ軸により相対揺動可能に組み合わされ、
前記ロッカアームの基端部に、前記相対揺動が不能となるように前記入力アームと前記出力アームとを相互に連結した連結状態とその連結を解除した連結解除状態との間で切替を行う切替機構が設けられ、該切替により、前記バルブの開閉量を変更することを特徴とする可変動弁機構。 - 前記ロッカアームの長さ方向の中間部に前記入力ローラが設けられ、該ロッカアームの先端部に前記バルブが当接する請求項1記載の可変動弁機構。
