Abstract
【解決手段】車輪2のキャンバー角がネガティブキャンバーに調整されると、第1トレッド21の接地圧が増加されると共に、第2トレッド22の接地圧が減少される。これにより、高グリップ性が発揮される。一方、車輪2のキャンバー角がポジティブキャンバーに調整されると、第1トレッド21の接地圧が減少されると共に、第2トレッド22の接地圧が増加される。これにより、低転がり抵抗となり、省燃費が達成される。このように、車輪2のキャンバー角を調整することで、高グリップ性と省燃費との背反する性能の両立を図ることができる。

Claims (4)
- 車輪と、その車輪のキャンバー角を調整するキャンバー角調整装置とを備える車両に対し、前記キャンバー角調整装置を作動させて、前記車輪のキャンバー角を制御する車両用制御装置であって、
前記キャンバー角調整装置の作動状態を制御する作動制御手段を備え、
前記車輪は、第1トレッドと、その第1トレッドに対して前記車輪の幅方向に並設され前記車両の内側又は外側に配置される第2トレッドと、を備えると共に、
前記第1トレッドと第2トレッドとが互いに異なる特性に構成され、前記第1トレッドは、前記第2トレッドに比して、グリップ力の高い特性に構成されると共に、前記第2トレッドは、前記第1トレッドに比して、転がり抵抗の小さい特性に構成され、
前記作動制御手段は、
前記車輪に走行路面との間で滑りを生じさせないために必要な摩擦係数を前記車両の走行状態に基づいて算出する必要摩擦係数算出手段と、
その算出手段により算出された前記摩擦係数に基づいて前記車輪のキャンバー角を算出するキャンバー角算出手段と、
そのキャンバー角算出手段により算出されたキャンバー角に基づいて前記車輪のキャンバー角を調整することで前記車輪の前記第1トレッドにおける接地圧と前記第2トレッドにおける接地圧との比率を変更するキャンバー角変更手段と、を備えることを特徴とする車両用制御装置。 - 前記キャンバー角算出手段は、少なくとも、前記必要摩擦係数算出手段により算出された前記摩擦係数が前記車輪の発揮できる摩擦係数の範囲内にある場合、前記必要摩擦係数算出手段により算出された前記摩擦係数と同等の摩擦係数を前記車輪が発揮し、かつ、前記車輪の転がり抵抗がより小さくなるキャンバー角を算出することを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両用制御装置。
- 運転者が前記車両を加速させるために操作する加速操作部材の操作状態を検出する加速検出手段と、運転者が前記車両を制動するために操作する制動操作部材の操作状態を検出する制動検出手段と、を備え、
前記必要摩擦係数算出手段は、前記加速検出手段及び制動検出手段により検出された加速操作部材及び制動操作部材の操作状態に基づいて、前記摩擦係数を算出することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車両用制御装置。 - 前記車両の対地速度と前記車輪の舵角とから前記車両の旋回状態を算出する旋回状態算出手段を備え、
前記必要摩擦係数算出手段は、前記旋回状態算出手段により算出された前記車両の旋回状態に基づいて、前記摩擦係数を算出することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の車両用制御装置。
