Abstract
【解決手段】床下触媒38が配置される排気通路32と、バイパス触媒35が配置されるバイパス通路31とを、排気通路32の分岐部と合流部との間に設置される弁機構37を開閉することで排出ガスの経路を切り換えるエンジンの空燃比制御装置において、弁機構閉弁時には、バイパス通路31に設置される第1空燃比センサ36の出力に基づいて空燃比を制御する第1空燃比制御手段S4と、弁機構開弁時には、弁機構37よりも下流の排気通路32に設置される第2空燃比センサ39の出力に基づいて空燃比を制御する第2空燃比制御手段S9とを備える。そして、弁機構37が閉弁状態から開弁状態へと切り換えられたときは、切り換えから所定期間経過後に第1空燃比制御手段S4による空燃比の制御から第2空燃比制御手段S9による空燃比の制御へと制御モードを切り換える。

Description
以下、図面を参照にして本発明の第1の実施の形態を説明する。
コントローラ40には、エアフローメータ25や第1及び第2空燃比センサ36、39等の車両の運転状態を検出する各種センサの出力が入力する。

AF1:第1空燃比センサ36の検出値
AF2:第2空燃比センサ39の検出値
AFR:所定値
そして、(1)式を満たす状態が一定時間継続している場合には、エンジン1の空燃比変動が安定しており、第1空燃比センサ36から第2空燃比センサ39に切り換えてもエミッションが悪化しないと判断し、ステップS74に移って第2空燃比センサ制御モードに設定する。また、(1)式を満たす状態が一定時間継続しない場合には、空燃比センサを切り換えるとエミッションが悪化すると判断し、ステップS75に移って第1空燃比センサ制御モードに設定する。
図5に従って、空燃比制御装置100の第2実施形態を説明する。

Claims (10)
- 床下触媒が配置される排気通路と、バイパス触媒が配置され前記床下触媒上流側の排気通路から分岐して前記床下触媒下流側に合流するバイパス通路とを、前記排気通路の分岐部と合流部との間に設置される弁機構を開閉することで排出ガスの経路を切り換えるエンジンの空燃比制御装置において、
前記弁機構の閉弁時には、前記バイパス通路に設置される第1空燃比センサの出力に基づいて空燃比を制御する第1空燃比制御手段と、
前記弁機構の開弁時には、前記弁機構よりも下流の排気通路に設置される第2空燃比センサの出力に基づいて空燃比を制御する第2空燃比制御手段とを備え、
前記弁機構が閉弁状態から開弁状態へと切り換えられたときは、前記切り換えから所定期間経過後に前記第1空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御から前記第2空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御へと制御モードを切り換えることを特徴とする空燃比制御装置。 - 前記所定期間は、前記弁機構閉弁時に前記分岐部から前記弁機構までの排気通路に滞留していた排出ガスが前記第2空燃比センサを通過するまでの期間であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空燃比制御装置。
- 前記弁機構が閉弁状態から開弁状態へと切り換えられ、かつ前記所定期間経過後に前記第2空燃比センサの活性判定を行う活性判定手段を備え、
前記弁機構が閉弁状態から開弁状態へと切り換えられたときは、前記切り換えから所定期間経過後であって、かつ前記第2空燃比センサが活性したときに前記第1空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御から前記第2空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御へと制御モードを切り換えることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記活性判定の後に、第1空燃比センサ及び第2空燃比センサの検出値の差の絶対値が一定時間継続して所定値以下となっているか否かを判定する継続時間判定手段をさらに備え、
前記第2空燃比センサが活性しており、第1空燃比センサ及び第2空燃比センサの検出値の差の絶対値が一定時間継続して所定値以下となっている場合に、前記第1空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御から前記第2空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御へと制御モードを切り換えることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記継続時間判定手段は、前記所定値として、車速変動が小さい場合に第1の所定値を設定し、車速変動量が大きい場合には第1の所定値よりも大きい第2の所定値を設定する、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記継続時間判定手段による判定後から所定時間経過し、車両が所定の運転状態にあるか否かを判定する条件判定手段をさらに備え、
前記継続時間判定手段による判定後から所定時間経過し、かつ車両が所定の運転状態にある場合には、第1空燃比センサ及び第2空燃比センサの検出値の差の絶対値が一定時間継続して所定値以下となっていない場合であっても強制的に前記第1空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御から前記第2空燃比制御手段による空燃比の制御へと制御モードを切り換える、
ことを特徴とする請求項4又は5に記載の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記所定の運転状態は、車速変動が大きい場合である、
ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記所定の運転状態は、ロックアップクラッチが開放されている場合である、
ことを特徴とする請求項6又は7に記載の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記所定の運転状態は、高負荷運転時である、
ことを特徴とする請求項6から8のいずれか一つに記載の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記第1及び第2空燃比センサは、酸素センサである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から9のいずれか一つに記載の空燃比制御装置。
